I had the pleasure of eating Meg’s food at a catered event and fell beyond in love with the amazing dishes she makes! Although Akl is slightly out of the way for me, I will walk there if I need to to have her amazing Hummus again (best I’ve ever had), or any of the other delicious salads and sweets. Thank you so much for an amazing culinary experience!

Lovely food, always vegan options. Highly recommend the tahini date porridge. Great flavours. Friendly service.

Megan provided the most amazing meal for 16 adults, and we all loved it...from the moment she arrived at our house, to the moment Megan left, she encapsulated loveliness, and warmth. The food was delicious, with a wide range of flavours and ingredients. I strongly recommend Feeding the Rest to anyone looking for a private chef. Huge Thank you Megan from all of us!!

We’ve known Meg since she used to work in a coffee shop in York and she always brings a friendly welcome! Her food is delicious and we pop in for cake and coffee whenever we’re free. The menu changes weekly and there’s always a mixture of flavours to entice you in. It’s fresh and appetising, and it keeps tempting you back for more!

Amazing place to eat! We've been to AKL for lunch, attended a supper club, and this week tried the new Chef Table that Meg's offering (where she builds a custom menu for a group of 4 for an intimidate dinner). Her food never fails to be delicious, and she couldn't be friendlier. I couldn't recommend it more - it's easily worth the drive from York centre!

Great food and very friendly service. Menu changes weekly so always a good reason to return and try something different! Definitely worth a visit.

It was a bit of a grey non-day but thankfully I was transported to the Middle East for a taste explosion at lunchtime. Fantastic Middle Eastern food at AKL, 1b Church Street, Copmanthorpe (it’s just behind the convenience store). Open Thursday to Saturday 9am to 2pm. All made by the lovely Meg who used to work at the Pig and Pastry. Go and shake up your tastebuds.

Really cosy hidden away restaurant with the best middle eastern food and delicious cakes! Everything is so fresh and tasty, lots of different options and dishes I've never tried before but can't wait to eat again. 100% worth the drive from the centre of York
