The Vestry in Islington

We had a lovely time at The Vestry. Cocktails were delicious and different. Highly recommended and we will definitely visit again soon.

Fantastic group dining at The Vestry for our annual black tie dinner. What a beautiful venue! So pretty - and we were delighted when we found that the minimum spend also secured us the whole bar. A mix of glittering candles, hipster cocktails and rustic St. Sepulchre's history, The Vestry is gorgeous and offers really good value group menus. We ate in the old vestry itself - an amazing, cavernous space at the back of the bar - and had 3 dedicated staff for the evening, who couldn't have been more attentive, as well as Thom who handled our booking and looked after our every request. We are a rowdy (choir) group and finished off the evening with some rousing renditions of 'Jerusalem' and 'Swing Low, Sweet Chariot' so it was super helpful to have our own space! Food was great for the price - I especially loved the Scotch egg! Amazing cocktails and just generally a fantastic, chic and great value evening. The only thing I would say is you could work on your vegan options as there weren't any - but we really appreciated you working with us to find a way round and give our vegan diner a tasty meal. Thank you so much again!

We booked a table to watch the World Cup final; we even called and got assurances that the table had been reserved and that it was in front of a screen to watch the match. However, when we got there the table was no where in sight of a tv and no solution offered. It is unfair to take bookings you can’t honour, luckily we found a nice pub near by to watch the game.

We had our wedding reception at the Vestry in May and it was ACE. We booked a few months in advance, and a very knowledgable, enthusiastic member of the team helped us sort food and wine in advance, and really looked after us on the run-up and on the night. We had about 80 guests, and they all had a fantastic time. The Vestry has a great atmosphere, and the team there are attentive but relaxed. We also took exclusive use of the six room boutique hotel above their next door venue, the Fox & Anchor. The rooms are amazing - and good value. In retrospect, the room at the top of three flights of stairs is maybe not where you should put your 79 year old father in law...but all rooms are beautiful!

I booked the Venue for my 30th birthday party and could not have been more impressed. From the set up of the venue through to the communication leading up to the event and the service on the evening, everything was top class. The Bar staff were incredibly helpful and helped everyone have an amazing evening. Thank you so much to everybody at The Vestry for making it such a great event, for anybody in two minds about choosing this venue, I highly recommend.

16 of us had the full English with Guiness and Champagne. Food was excellent and the drinks went down a storm. Tom and the staff were great. We will definitely go back.

Had a few drinks and food with a client at The Vestry; nice enough place with a could selection of beverages - however the bar staff weren’t experienced in making cocktails. Even though there were cocktails advertised; oh well, the beer and wine was good. Food platters were nice without being memorable

Went on a Wednesday night, so can't speak for busier nights (although was surprised it wasn't more full, as it looks lovely both inside and out). Good bar staff, happy to bring drinks over to table when it was quiet enough. Music was nice, not too loud, just enough to keep a nice atmosphere. I wouldn't say drinks were cheap, but pretty much standard pricing for cocktails in London these days. Classy location that will impress anyone you bring along

Used the back meeting room for a gathering of 11 industry folk. Great meeting room, good facilities, excellent service.

We had a private party and screening of a tv show here. 25 people comfortably accommodated. Good sized TV and good sound. Food was really good and wine delicious. Really friendly and staff/chef very flexible about dietary requirements. Can recommend....

Great, friendly little place. Everyone was very helpful and all the food was really nice and spot on for a drinks party.

Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Some of the food options are a bit pricey but very tasty. They also do one off everts that are worth the money but book up asap!
