Nice bar, staff are really friendly and helpful, all around vibe was nice. Food was really good for the price. Got the smokey burger and friend got the new Yorker.

Good wee sun trap in the heart of Perth. Loads of seats inside. Menu varied. Service good. Just under 23 quid for a decent bottle of Prosecco. Liked the water container/urn thing on the bar with glasses next to it. Would definitely go back.

We arrived and were told to take a seat,the girl said she would bring a menu over but she never did,she a a guy to get our drinks order and he never came to our table,and people that came in after us were served before us

The most incredible service, atmosphere - the people here are golden. Had the best time here and lost my phone. They went above and beyond to make sure I'd get it back. Found it! from beginning to end you're in safe hands here. Thank you Erin and Jamsie

In watching the six nations rugby and the staff decided to put some Glasgow football team playing some non interesting cup game on instead. Poor. Left afterwards

Food was ok but some orders were wrong or missing items listed on menu. Waitress was very good despite being on her own and dealing with a lot of people.

I haven't had food here as yet, so I couldn't rate for this. I have been here for drinks downstairs and clubbing upstairs. Compared to 7 years ago, the atmosphere is much better. Love the open mic nights, and although there is only one bar open in the nightclub when it's extremely busy, the staff work very hard to serve us our drinks. They even saw me having a hot flush and gave me their fan momentarily to cool me down whilst waiting to be served. That was a very decent touch, so thank you. Great staff - including the door staff who are very lovely. I can't fault any staff. They work very well as a team. Keep that up, guys and girls. You're doing great 👍🏻 I will happily spend my money here and Half a Tanner on a night out.

I was first enchanted by The Venue in Perth when myself and the Haggis stumbled across it by chance. It is a live music pub with an excellent selection of whisky and gin. When we went there on a Friday night they had a wonderful band playing covers [including an amazing rendition of ‘Daddy Issues’ by Beyonce]. The atmosphere is moody, cosy and romantic; the decor consisting of mismatched chairs, candles in wax-dripped holders made from recycled wine bottles and an impressive display of whisky and gin bottles. The Venue also has a good selection of craft beers, ales and lagers from around the world. It’s definitely a unique pub worth a visit!

Cosy wee city centre bar. Unfortunately, the staff here couldn't prepare hot alcoholic drinks (I asked for a Baileys coffee) and they didn't serve mulled wine or cider despite it being December and the start of Christmas season.

Never going back. Got attacked over drinks I bought for bouncers to join in with revellers rather than do there job check cameras main dance floor around 1.00 to 3.00

Went in for something to eat, sat for 20 minutes waiting for someone to take our order. Went somewhere else instead. Wasn't even busy.

Food was amazing, service was quick, staff were just so friendly and helpful. Only one small down side it was quite quiet when we went in and we could talk no bother between ourselves then loud music was put on. Its to be expected its a bar restaurant and you have to accept it could and will happen.

Great for cocktails with friends

Had soup first and was rather salty. Baked potato was cooked perfectly. Would have given five stars. Service was excellent. Wasn't too pricey. I just wish we had Olympics on the screens rather than the football.

Went in for a friend date for lunch and the food was soooo good! The waiter/barman (Daniel? I think?) was really friendly and gave us plenty time to check out their new menu as we couldn’t decide what to have! Balmoral burger was delicious and the chips on the side were amazing. My friend had the Cajun chicken baked potato and there was plenty filling and a good sized tattie! The same guy was having issues with the card machine when we went to pay and he couldn’t have been more apologetic about it! Really good customer service from him even in a pickle! Will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu

Great night had by all on Saturday night! We need to see more of High Audio and the DJ’s, they create a great atmosphere, brilliant tunes, and awesome people. I’ll be back!

Burger and chips was awesome, staff were very friendly and they had a good choice of rum.

Unpleasant welcome from the person at the bar, really excecrable, ordered a gin Fizz received a gin and tonic and when I point it out to her she explains to me that in Scotland the gin Fizz is like that. 🤬

Perfect location at the end of the street looking up and out. Sitting outside to enjoy delicious food is a real treat.

Popped in for dinner. They were out of steak pie so we chose goujons and chicken curry. Very tasty. Good portion size, attentive staff. Area kind of desserted in the evenings. 🤷 Maybe it was because it was a Tuesday and we found many places closed.

Got served a dodgy glass of wine here. Its a shame because I liked this bar.

Top marks for the most rude, unpleasant staff I have come across anywhere. They need some work on people skills regarding how to talk to customers.

I went to the Venue before Christmas for a meal and drinks and it was really good. Got a voucher to spend in January and February. Went on Saturday but we were disappointed. The service and the atmosphere were still very good but the food wasn't. We were told we'd have to wait for 25 minutes and we appreciated that. We ordered paninis.......we got baguettes.....without explanation. They were kind of thrown together and we had to send one back as there was next to nothing in it.........chips were good! We noticed that people at 2 other tables weren't happy either and had to send food back.

First time visiting. Couldn't fault the food, it was delicious. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Decor is lovely.

We attended the Dolly Christmas night on a Friday night in December What a ball Started with Christmas Dinner which was braw. Good value Then upstairs for Dolly Lorraine Pattison as Dolly was absolutely fantastic. What a woman! She sings, dances and had the patter of Dolly herself

If you want drink/comfy seat/ to engage in conversation....DON'T go here/multiple TV screens ON/ PLUS disco lights PLUS speakers pumping.. complete sensory overload..PLUS manspreading! Seriously? 😱 remind me again what century this is....😳

been here multiple times not only are the owners absolute gems but the staff are always so friendly from bar staff to bouncers, the place is always so lovely with amazing music and incredible cocktail and drink options. one of my absolute favourite places to go for drinks and food, absolutely stellar all round!

Did not feel welcome at all! Paid £12 for a "jug" of venom. There was only 50mls of alcohol. The venom was disgusting, left the full jug at the bar after a couple of sips. Bar tender didnt even care. Moved on to another pub for a delightful and tasty venom, even at a good price. Would not go back again. Waste of money.

Visiting from another country? Pass up this place - there’s plenty of others. They wouldn’t accept a drivers license ID (with multiple holograms that demonstrate authenticity) from outside Scotland, which is quite funny considering we’ve been to about 100 other pubs throughout this country and literally no one else had an issue. So basically if you’re from another country — unless you want to carry your literal passport with you out drinking on the weekends (😳yikes) then skip The Venue.

Nice decor soured by second set of bar staff that arrived at 5pm on Hogmany. After being in the bar with a good atmosphere and having had a couple of drinks. A woman came over at 5.35 and slapped a reserved marker on our table for 6pm. No explanation or introduction. We were at a table for two. (There were two vacant tables for two nearby and no reserved markers were put on them.)This was also done to a couple at another table. Possibly the lady with the reserved markers didn't want us there. It definitely felt like it. We left.

Excellent food, extravagantly presented on stone slabs with hand-carved fries, great decor and super nice staff! Prices were perfectly reasonable and the toilets are clean and extremely spacious. We were there on Tuesday and the store was pretty empty. It is certainly very crowded on weekends. Anyone visiting Perth should eat at the venue. We were a little sad that we only spent one evening in Perth.

Must go! A very large whiskey collection. Staff was extremely friendly , amazing service too. A lot of covid measures. Also had a free whiskey tasting before ordering, the whiskey guy (Caleb) is great, very knowledgeable! Strongly recommend to stop by here for a wee drink to learn about whiskey.

Superb service! I have visited The Venue a number of times, most recently during COVID-19 restrictions. Each time I received the same level of friendly and knowledgable service from staff who clearly care about each customer. Even with current measures in place staff helpfully explained how their system worked and instantly made us feel comfortable. Cannot recommend highly enough!

A lovely place for a very enjoyable cocktail, relaxing, good service and a welcoming atmosphere. Am so pleased we were able to enjoy it last week. We wanted a small snack but only option was burritos which we didn’t want. It would be better if they could offer tapas instead. Highly recommend regardless

Amazing place, lived in Perth for 25 years and was back for the weekend visiting my parents. Went in with my wife and was welcomed by extremely friendly staff and a wall of gin only to find a wall of whiskey around the corner. Staff were amazing and knew everything about whiskey (did a free whiskey sampling) . There was a live band on that set the evening and would recommend anybody drinking in Perth to go there. 10/10

Remember as the Windsor. Not been in ages. Strange eclectic front, back and upstairs bars. Music OK as is the beer.

Best bar in Perth. Great friendly atmosphere and nice interior. The old fashioned was superb and I was shown some great whisky's I never tried before. And the live musicians was just awesome.

Went to The Venue to celebrate South Africa's victory in the rugby world cup. Great food and atmosphere. We were looked after by a lovely waitress.
