Amazing sandwiches. Been going here since the 80s. Still never tried tripe but the sandwiches and pies are more than delicious

I particularly liked their Stilton flavour pork pie that came recommended from the lady working in the back. Their coffee is very bland in comparison to how tasty their pies are. It is a tiny shop and cash only. I will be returning for food here when I have cash on me, definitely.

Popped in here to get my Mum and Dad a pork pie for Christmas. Took it round yesterday and they loved it (Chilli jam pork pie). So much so that they want me to go back and get more. Cheers!

No messing here, what you see is what you get. Their Steak and Kidney Puddings are delightful, the size of the shop does limit what the can stock, but believe me, it is a splendid establishment. And tripe, it is delightful and must try.

Nipped in for some bits and bobs, a fantastic range of foodstuffs the staff were really helpful and chatty,nothing was too much trouble, and the premises were spotless.

Bought a cheese and onion pie , can’t describe what I was sold ,but it WAS not cheese and onion pie , tasted like onion and vinegar pie ,terrible,

I read online that this is the last remaining tripe shop in the region. I've no idea if this is true because I can't stand the stuff! However, this is also a good sandwich shop which is where my interest lies. I rediscovered this little gem when a sunny day inspired an impromptu picnic in Armentieres Square. Don't expect gourmet recipes but great for old favourites like ham, turkey, salad etc on old fashioned soft muffins. Cheaper than Greggs and more customisable. Money savers might be interested to know that chilled canned drinks are available around the corner at Savers for just 29p.
