The Trio Fish and Chip shop in North Lanarkshire

Been a long time since I tried the black pudding . I was hoping the black pudding wasn't as spicy this time around but , omg , not sure who your supplier is but I can't even eat it.....again. Time for something different 😟

Fish and chips was bad, they don’t use the right salt and vinegar or sauces it’s just bad the food taste like nothing, waste of £20

Fish & chips were great. Nice & crispy fish. Good fritters too. Staff lovely & friendly. Will definitely be back to try the loaded fries.

used them for years but haven't used for months the prices have gone up but quality of food has gone done don't mind paying extra but just not worth it any more the chips allways over cooked or they look like re heats

Got an angus burger meal this included a thick angus steakburger with chips and a can for 5.00 hubby got the buffalo chicken and kids got the cheeseburger meal . The burgers are amazing cooked to perfection with your choice of salad a good portion of chips and a can. Annit beat this we are hooked what a deal staff were lovely and helpful and a great atmosphere in the shop. Also tried the oven baked pizza and the spaghetti last week it is absolutely delicious all cooked from scratch. Would recommend to anyone to try. My kids are very fussy but absolutely love this burger deal and the past and pizza. Well done its lovely go get a takeaway that is delicious tasty and warm. We will definitely atelier be back for more

Tried their special fish extra crispy. Fresh fish with not a single bone. No complaints about their chips either. Delicious and good value.

We placed an order for delivery which said it would take between an hour and an hour 20 minutes. It arrived within 45 minutes. Food was good and hot, with reasonable size portions.

Very hit and miss. Overpriced but not their fault. It is hard for shops like these to survive. Cost of living has hit everyone . The staff are excellent

Ordered for the first time. Waited over 1 hour and a half for it too arrive for the chips to be freezing cheese on the Angus burger which I didn't ask for and the chips missing from my burger meal and also the onion was missing that I paid £1 extra for. I called to tell them the order was wrong the woman on the other side of the phone was trying to debate with me over the Angus burger coming with cheese when on the scoffable website it mentions nothing about cheese. it is called Aberdeen Angus burger so if there is cheese on it then menu should state this there is an option to add cheese which is £1 extra so not sure why the woman I spoke to kept repeating to me that all burgers come with cheese well update the menu accordingly. They got the delivery driver to come back and collect the burger. Won't be back.

Have not long moved to the area and have used the shop a few times but tonight's food was nothing short of disgusting and the attitude of the woman frying is abysmal. Smoke sausage freshly cooked was cold, fritter harder than stone, chips obviously mixed between fresh and 3 days old. Batter on everything was not as normal, everything taste off old oil and looked old. Ordered a cake aswell £4.50 which I don't mind but the cake was stale. Shame as looked decent. Lastly, the woman frying was not interested, the young girls on the till were very pleasant but when they asked for an item to be made rather than just cooking it you could tell she was not pleased as she wanted to just do nothing. If you can't be bothered with customers and orders then your in the wrong job. £20 down the drain. In reply to your reply- I made no negative comments in the shop? So where that is coming from I do not know. As I stated the girls serving were so pleasant and I had no issues whilst in the shop so you are just making thing up to try and not make your shop look bad. The food was disgusting and you wont need to serve customers like me again as I will certainly not be back. Also your cake was fresh and taken out this morning? Yeah that makes sense - So there frozen, so clearly not fresh. Also shows a lot in your attitude to customers when they make comments. Wouldnt surprise me if it this was the woman that growled at your own staff when they asked you to make a pizza is the one that is replying to me just now. Customer service costs nothing and business is hard but dont take your failing out on a customer, Do better and appreciate that people want to spend money in your shop.

Large bag of chips and portion of curry sauce £5. Seems reasonable until you see the portions. Large bag of chips is tiny meant to be for 2 and it doesn’t even feed 1. The curry sauce was a thimbles worth. Don’t think I will ever go back to this chippie. Had it go next door to sizzlers and pay another £5 for an actual portion of chips. If you want chips in abronhill you would be better going to sizzlers or the Chinese next door to the chippie.

Best chippy about. Staff and service is superb. Never disappointed with food and pasta is best.

Im sad to leave this review. I have always enjoyed my fish supper from trio but the last one and this one was disappointing. Chips were good but the fish wasnt. I hoped the last time it was just an off day. But unfortunately the fish we got tonight was poor. 😔😔😔

Bought pasta from this place . Too much garlic in the dish . Boyfriend got chips not that great either

Best chippie in Cumbernauld only tried it a few days ago portion was brilliant and fish was delicious so went back today for another one staff are lovely and spoke to the Owner he is lovely guy aswell so I rate it 💯

This is one of the best Chip shop around and believe me, I can be very fussy when is comes to good food. The Fish & Chips are first class always fresh and tasty and cooked to perfection. They are always coming up with new products for their menu, the Chili chips & chicken is so tasty, full of fresh chili's, the homemade Pasta's are spot on! Keep up the excellent work guys, you are smashing it! Try them and you won't be disappointed!

Son had Buffalo Chicken Pizza hubby had fish I had a cheeky pizza crush. Best chips lovley bit of fish too son loved the pizza we've had in ages definitely we will definitely be back

Great food, Lovely staff and worth the money.

First time trying this chip shop and definitely won't be my last absolutely delicious fish and chips, excellent portion size and not overly greasy, the way a proper Scottish chippy should taste, all that was missing was the newspaper wrapped in haha, excellent stuff though 👍. Update 24/01/23 Tried for second time extremely disappointing no fritters so got hit with smallest portion of chips ever, fish was extremely greasy and half of it stuck to paper, and was bland and over done, and delivery extremely slow 👎

Brilliant chip shop. Staff always friendly and helpful and the food is all always top class. The freshly made pasta are so tasty the only issue is there is so much choice on the menu. There is even a kid menu for your little people.

Chips were dry. Tasted like frozen fish from farmfoods. Cost £11.50 aswell. Who came up with that price. Most expensive supper I've ever had. Use to be decent like oasis chippy, but they also have issues with their potato's aswell. More disappointing than the last episode of Dexter.

Wee lassies lack customer service. More interested in chatting than acknowledging anyone who walks in. Pizza was almost whole...as if they couldn't be bothered running the cutter through it.
