The Travel Cafe in Islington

Great place for the most amazing plants I've ever seen. Seriously, I didnt know plants that look like fish bones existed or some plants survived just on air! A real Aladdin's cave of plants!

So I have been looking for a plant shop for a while and one has just popped up right next to me. The store is amazing and they have so many type. The staff are super friendly and I really enjoy their coffee. I am not great at understanding the care of plants but they are a great guide. Would really recommend this a my go to plant store.

Es un ladrillo a la vista, pisos de madera, cómodos cojines y justo enfrente de la universidad, pero el hecho de que sea un poco caro podría explicar la falta de clientes cuando estuve allí. El bagel de desayuno es muy bueno para 8. 50 pero el blanco plano es pequeño, no muy caliente y caro. El personal es agradable y tienen wifi gratis.

Entré por un cappuccino para llevar y me decepcionó el pequeño café que conseguí por mi dinero: un disparo y dos tercios de espuma en mi pequeño Keepcup. Cuando me quejé del tamaño, dijeron que era estándar y se negaron a llenarlo con leche. Fueron perfectamente agradables, pero cuando un cliente siente que no ha recibido lo que pagó y simplemente solicita un poco más de leche, debe ser rápido y listo para complacer y satisfacer. ¡Qué extraño encuentro!

We almost missed this! A fantastic little cafe that offers lovely food and good drink selection. This was the nicest bagel I have ever had, salmon, avocado, cream cheese and egg. What made it even better was how lovely the staff were. Made us and our 10month old very welcome. We are all glad we didn’t walk by.

This place must be quite new. It is very small and easily missed. They do coffee, cakes and some food but the food is rather pricey. The cappuccino was very nice though.

The thing about the Travel Cafe is that it doesn't try too hard. It doesn't really need to; it's already cute and trendy, from the old-style lettering on the signs propped up against the window (We Are Now Open, shouts one) to the wooden furniture inside, it's a buzzy little coffee shop which does great home-made lunches and breakfasts. If there's one criticism, it's the hours. If you're all settled in during the afternoon they suddenly announce at 5.30pm that the place is closed! But that aside, this is one of Islington's best independents. I mean, why would you go 100 yards further on to one of the dull, samey chains when you've got this? It's the sister cafe of a second branch in Westminster Bridge Road, but with only two outlets, small is still beautiful.
