Always spot on excellent breakfast spoiled for choice great cafe

I've moved away and had to travel about 30 minutes because I am pregnant and I was craving one of there bacon cream cheese bagel with the nicest hash browns on the side and then got the salad box for my tea for later 🤣 portions are always huge and reasonable priced and definitely worth travelling for!

Best place anywhere the egg sausage and bacon balm cake breakfast is the best and the service and price is second to none 😋

Staff were all very friendly and attentive. They offer a wide selection of breakfast, dinner, lunch items and salads amongst other sweet and savoury snack. I opted for a bacon cheese burger with salad and ketchup and was not disappointed after a long 12 hour night shift, it was just what I needed. I will be sure to return.

Popped in here this afternoon and i just want to say top job! You guys really nailed it. I had the hot beef and onions on a big barm, and i also got the chili and rice for my partner. Both lunches were fab. The beef and onions was made with a decent bit of beef in proper gravy, and the chili and rice was made with good mince beef in a tasty sauce. The rice was properly done too, nice and fluffy individual grains. Really nice traditional cafe food, friendly staff, good location. Keep up the good work.

I've just eaten the hot beef, mushroom and onions special on a barm, and it was extremely good. Decent bit of beef (not that pre-sliced wafer thin stuff), in proper gravy with with onions and fried mushrooms. I wanted the Hotpot, but it had sold out. Which is another good indication of how good this place is. We also had the Chilli and rich with cheese on top. That was also great. Again, it was made with a decent bit of mince beef, in a very tasty chilli/tomato sauce with a all the spices and seasonings you'd expect for a good depth of flavour. All served on top of well cooked, fluffy rice. While i was waiting there were a steady stream of customers and we were all served in a friendly happy manner.

This is the most nicest place ever for breakfast, I’ve just had breakfast this morning and I’ve got to say it’s the best I’ve tasted in a long while from a cafe. I would defiantly recommend, also will be my local now, food was delicious. Thankyou

Bang on point for sandwiches but wouldn't get full English breakfast . hash browns tasted like they had been cooked and heated back up in microwave really hard didn't taste nice atall .

Called in here for a bacon and mushroom this morning. Absolutely perfect went down a treat if your in the area and want food this is the place to be. I definitely would return if im in the area again. I don't normally eat unless ive cooked but there was only so much I can do in a hotel room food wise. I chose top trough and im glad I did. P. S yes I did pass my course (to the conversation we had in the shop).

The food here is lovely. However, the young A girl serving is miserable and rude. On one occasion she had such an attitude toward a customer that they cancelled their order and left.

Food is awesome, staff are lovely, the place is spotless, food is always hot and ready on time, this is now my go to place

The Top Trough is as good a basic sandwich shop as any I've ever known. I got a jacket potato with tuna, onion, mayo and just a dash of butter, which came in at £2.60. Now I disagree with places charging for tuna and onion separately but maybe the connection will be made countrywide in the future that that is just the standard. It was good food, what can I say: it's a jacket potato with tuna, onion and mayo. Overall I will probably return and try other menu choices.

Andrew and the staff at top trough are fantastic. They let make whatever you want however you want it within reason but they always make you feel welcome and the food is always delicious!

A great food outlet in a modern urban setting. Good range of breakfast and lunch sandwiches, burgers and salads. Take your pick from a selection of rolls - white, brown, granary - bagels or paninis. Good venue for a quick bite. Sit in/out, take away or delivery.

Banging breakfast, polite and speedy service.

Used to use this place regularly in the past. Phoned today to place an order & not sure if they were busy or having a bad day but I was left feeling very angry at both the owner & the rude delivery driver. Rather than just give a postcode that would get the driver lost I attempted to explain where the address for delivery was located and was rudely told they couldn’t deliver, she ignored me trying to explain this, talked over me & put the phone down whilst I was talking. I am housebound for the day & am very angry they could be so rude... I won’t be using them again & I hope they read this post so they can review their customer service skills. From one angry reviewer.

I’ve eaten here quite often when a work my other job really nice food and a wide selection of all sorts of foods hot/cold even soup I use to have a sausage and cheese barm and then get a Vienna for lunch nice little cafe

Order for most of the office everyday, never let down!
