The Three Magpies Hotel in Rotherham

Thoroughly enjoyed our bottomless brunch today. There are even new additions to the drinks available on the deal! Was well looked after by the team, Lisa, Michael and Dionne today. Thank you so much for providing us with a lovely afternoon. Always brilliant service. Friendly staff and good atmosphere. Often events on too like Bi go Wednesdays etc and the addition of the children's playground is fab!

Brilliant as always. Went for breakfast at mcdonalds but they were too busy and didnt want to wait. As we were driving home we realised that the Maggies was open. How had we never realised before? Anyway... very friendly service from Dionne again and amazing food from Helen. Will definitely be returning again very soon (not today as we couldnt fit in another bite)

A new found like of sizzler pubs starting on holiday in Christchurch. From that we look out for this brand of establishment. Food is spot on. Large portions. Hot when it arrives. Plenty of range to choose from. Added bonus is the app with offers on from the start. 1st time visiting the three magpies but not disappointed with anything. Excellent service. Great chat with the bar staff and food servers. Lovely to have staff smiling when they deliver food and drinks. Lots of people enjoying the atmosphere and ordering food. Great play area to the side of this pub will be an added bonus for parents/grandparents etc in summer. Looks a good place to relax and eat.

Good value food great atmosphere and service.

Had food twice here now, first time both meals were uncooked (and it was chicken) and were sent back. Second time, food was warm, not hot, samosas were still frozen, naan bread was rock hard and chicken burger was half the size of the breadcake it was on.

Good food and top class service, this time the chips weren't as hot as they could have been.

The Caesar Salad ridiculously expensive for wilted lettuce, a spray of dressing, 9 tiny pieces of bacon at more than £7

I live in Hull but I'm from Rotherham but my family and I love it, food really good, my 11yr old loves rump n ribs demolished in a moments 😂😂 staff are fab. Just got back to Hull and as Rotherham geezer I'm still speaking Rotherham lol as my Mrs says so you never know !! Visited the Three Magpies last night and I was really impressed . The new paintwork is looking so much fresher and brighter. The food and quality of the beer seem to have massively improved too. All of the team seemed to be enjoying their work. - Lisa D, Kendra and Liz

Went here for my mums birthday booked in advance for 11. Got there to be told kitchen was closed. Really bad not even a phone call to find alternative venue. Furthermore to your response you don't have my number. The fact that guests travelled from Doncaster Barnsley Sheffield no phone call was made. The person who made the booking had no missed calls from you. So pretty lame excuse.

The pub has had a really nice refurbishment and it’s very spacious. There’s lots of choice on the menu almost too much choice but our food was really good and the staff were really really friendly and social with everyone and very helpful

Well what can I say, I never leave reviews bought felt on this occasion I must. I ordered a takeaway via the website. Food was ready on time, hot when I got home and tasted fantastic. Absolute bargain!

bar staff and amazing DJ We are regulars as a family every Sunday evening for the bingo which we really enjoy. Never met the landlady Food really good but menu sparse.

So, after many years of visiting the 3 Magpies, we will be regulars no longer. We went for our usual lunch yesterday, which was not as good as it has been, then when my son joined us after school for tea, he wanted to swap a sauce for his chicken. The bar staff were rushed off their feet and were a staff member down, so I opened the kitchen door to ask the chef. The way that woman spoke to me was appalling. She refused to swap it, even though this has been done many times in the past without a problem, but she flatly refused and was very nasty in her manner and voice. I've never seen this person before but I was informed she's the new kitchen manager! Well she certainly doesn't know how to behave towards regular paying customers! When I told the bar staff about it they said that this was a regular thing with her and as she's the kitchen manager they can't do anything about it. What a disgrace, and a shame, you will be losing many more customers thanks to that horrible woman! I DID NOT ENTER THE I STOOD AT THE DOOR AND SHE WAS IN SPEAKING DISTANCE!

Great service and really good offers sent regularly via email(40% off) As we go to this pub anyway it makes for a very good priced meal. The staff are all really nice and friendly, from the manageress to all the waiting staff. Nothing is too much trouble.

I went for a wrap for after work meal and the pub was decorated brilliantly for Halloween and I love the detail the person who designed it did, further more that staff were polite and I was served by Rachel ward and I asked for the kitchen names and it was Lisa Lines and Dionne Price and they were exceptional with service my drink was great and my wrap was cooked perfectly and was delectable and when leaving the staff all said by and to come again

Just called in for some lunch, had a dirty hotdogs with dirty fries. Can't explain the taste sension,it's like every mouthful is a taste sensation. YOU NEED TO COME AND TRY IT,honestly worth a visit

We were struggling to find somewhere for breakfast. Everywhere we went was closed despite google saying that they were open... And it was fate, cause we ended up in the 3 magpies. Staff were super accommodating and really friendly. Venue was spotless. Facilities were fantastic. And the food was phenomenal. The plate was piled high, amazing value for money and it was really tasty. They even gave us plasters for my partners toes where her shoes had worn at her. 10/10 would breakfast here again!

The service was outstanding, all the staff had smiles on their face and this made me feel really welcome. The food was delicious and Lisa made sure she did a check back to ensure we were all satisfied! Definitely recommend to my family and friends and will be returning

I hate the new so called nachos doritos , before nachos were so good fresh home made and real cheese and now just bought doritos and some bought cheese cream….it tastes really bad i will for sure go there much less because of the changes in the menu

Quiz night has gone down hill. Used to be brilliant. Now, too many games, goes on for far too long, we will no longer be going in on a Thursday night. Food still nice and staff still brilliant. Big shame, used to really enjoy Thursday nights there.

This is an updated review. I don't know what's going on at the Three Magpies. It used to be pretty good, but tonight it was appalling. It's not good when you've got a "chef" wandering around in whites that look as though he's just cleaned the drains with them, but then comes the kicker - the actual food. Two of us attempting to dine, I chose hunters chicken, a dish I've had here many times before. This one, the chicken was burnt and overcooked so badly you couldn't cut it with a serrated steak knife, the sauce was lumpy and solid, and then we come to the cheese... Since when has a cheap processed cheese slice been acceptable in hunters chicken? My father had a steak. Another dish we've had many times before here. He left most of it. It was dry, chewy and pretty much inedible. To add insult to injury, the chips were stone cold as well. I strongly recommend that you avoid the Three Magpies until they sort themselves out. We certainly will be. This has been the worst meal I've experienced in a very long time.

Excellent place. Went for a Wake following my Father's funeral. Spoke to manager Scot who was brill and 2 girls working behind the bar were lovely and nothing was too much trouble. Some people ordered food off menu and they were satisfied. The food was lovely with very reasonable prices. Thank you all. I would recommend this pub for friendliness, food, price and service with a smile. I will be going again that's for certain. Thanks again.🤗😀👍
