The Thai Way in North Norfolk

We often visit the ThaiWay. The food is excellent and good value for money, the staff are always very friendly and attentive. The restaurant is always clean and the atmosphere lovely. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Meal was perfect, nice sized portions and service was 1st class. I couldn’t fault our visit and would highly recommend.

The restaurants is modern and on first appearances not very Asian. Don't be put off it's a disguise! The place is authentic and very well run. It's also very popular so in the pick season (June - September) you should book and if ordering a take away allow lots of time so book early, there's no delivery, The restaurant has an open kitchen so you can see all the action, professional and absolutely spotless. All the Thai dishes are excellent. My partner is vegan so they'll do all the dishes with tofu.

What a find. Looking for something other than the usual fish and chips / pub lunches. Just off the main road, doesn't look like much but wow. Staff were so friendly, service was excellent and the food was amazing. We had the mixed starters. I never knew prawn toast tasted like that! Not like the greasy thin toast you normally get. I had the king prawn papya salad and my hubby had the best beef in oyster sauce he's ever had. Pity we don't live nearer

This little place is a huge shining nugget of a restaurant in Norfolk. The food is incredible, the staff are extremely friendly and the see into kitchen is run with precision and looks spotless. Just a three minute walk from the Barnes Brinkcraft marina.

We were originally booked into a restaurant in Horning but on arrival, there was a power cut and were told possibly a two hour wait for restoration. We drove into Wroxham in search of food and came across “Thaiway”. Obviously we hadn’t booked but we were made welcome and given a table for the four of us. My husband and I love Thai food but the other couple with us were not used to ordering Thai food - the waitress could not have been more helpful or patient as they questioned her as to the strength of flavour (chilli etc). THEN we noticed that under each dish on the menu we can order mild, medium, hot etc! Next time, we might be easier customers knowing what to do. The food was delicious, a hit all round. The place was very clean and we noticed the tables were thoroughly cleaned after each customer. We would definitely go back and would highly recommend The Thaiway.

First visit for us. Lovely food and great presentation. All cooked freshly. We had set meal for two, Grandson and myself, and hubby had his own fish cake starter and chicken pad tai . Plenty of food and great flavors. Made initial enquiry on phone but lost signal. Gan very kindly messaged me straight back to check when I was trying to book for. Nice, clean place offering dine in or take away. We walked in without a booking and was accommodated. The food was good and they were happy to make the food milder for the non spice lovers. If you're in wroxham I don't think you'd do better than here.

The only downside to the thaiway is trying to book a table. We visited last year and couldn't get a table ,& it was a 2 hour wait for a takeaway. To counteract that this year I thought I'd book well in advance. 9 phone calls over 10 days and all were cut off and a generic message of "we're too busy to take your call at the minute" was sent. In the end we called in at lunch time today and were able to book a table at 18.30. The service and food were of a very high standard. Nice surroundings and prompt service. All in a reasonable price. The end product was a very enjoyable experience.

This restaurant is on a side street but don’t let that put you off. The food as good as you get in Thailand and London. Also the restaurant is exceptionally clean. The owners should be very proud of the food and the presentation. U must go.

Food great as normal, we have been loads of times normally very friendly. This latest visit they were both very rude, they made us move our grandkids in high chairs and move our tables. This was to let a disabled scooter access, which is fine. They then directed them to a table well away from us, so pointless. They seemed put out that the little ones had made some mess on the floor, my son offered to sweep and clear it up, they just ignored him and the lady started shouting from the kitchen. Discovered the new place for Thai food in Hoveton today; the Thai Way! We normally go into Norwich for Thai food, but this new takeaway is going to change that. We had the lunch buffet and it was delicious. Lovely and aromatic. It's not quite on the main shopping strip of Hoveton, but only a couple of minutes away and definitely worth seeking out. Great for boat hirers spending a bit of time in Hoveton/Wroxham, or those of us who live nearby.

I had booked a table here as we were picking up a boat from NBD boatyard for our holiday on the Broads. The restaurant was nearly empty as we booked early but filled up as the night progressed. It was a bit lacking in atmosphere, music etc but the quality of the food was amazing. We really enjoyed our choices and the service was great. Also very covid aware following the necessary precautions. Tables and seat were wiped down after every visitor left. We were going to eat there at the end f our holiday but I am afraid we cut that short and didn't get to go.

Imagine holidaying in a very small village in Norfolk and that hearing there is outstanding takeaway Thai food available... well we tried it and it was truly excellent. A selection for eight people meant we sampled curries, pad thais and spring rolls. Highly recommended, more authentic than what one finds in many restaurants. We will be sure to order again on our next visit!

On a sunny day we sat outside The Thai Way food truck and enjoyed delicious, Thai street food cooked in front of us. We ordered in advance and service was excellent. Currently the trucks location is a bit off the beaten track but we were told that they may soon be moving it back to a more central location in/near Hoveton. It’s a nice part of the county so good excuse for a little sight seeing if you’re not really local. You can order your preferred spice strength - 2 was good and spicy in our book! Excellent value for money - take your own beer and you will be given a glass. We loved the red thai curry and the panang beef & the simple plate of stir fried veg was most noteworthy! Def recommend.

I travelled to Thailand extensively on business in the 80s and 90s, soon developing a love for the country and its food; my wife has been several times on holiday. I rarely ate Thai food in the UK because of its cost and adaptation to English palates, but when someone recommended TheThaiWay to us we decided to try it. We phoned for a takeaway order to save disappointment. 30 minutes later we were driving away with our - very - affordable - lunch. As someone else reviewed, the portions are generous, without being too big. My wife had Pad Thai noodles with chicken, and I had Pad Nam Prik Pao, rice and chicken. Both were perfectly done, my vegetables crunchy and the rice just right. I particularly liked that the lady asked if we liked spicy food when taking the order. We'll certainly be back for more, especially in warmer weather to eat outside (though there is limited space inside). Superb

Mid month take away treat with my 8 year old son and partner. We had the curry of the day (green chicken) seafood curry and chicken and cashew nut. All beautifully cooked with just enough heat/spice and incredibly tasty - so much so I didn't want to finish my plate of heaven - I wanted it to go on and on! My son loved his cashew and chicken curry, especially the sauce. Highly recommend but you do need to phone ahead and pre order-well worth it though.

I live locally to The Thai Way and regularly get takeaways. Those lovely Thai girls are so friendly, loads of energy and work exceptionally hard. Best to preorder as they have a tiny kitchen so cook every single meal fresh. They are constantly cleaning the wok for the next dish considering they have a tiny workspace everything looks pristine. Today they catered for my daughter a dairy free vegetarian. Her Penang curry was delicious she was really pleased. The girls gave us complimentary thai banana desserts and was singing and so friendly. They dish up huge portions in some ways one meal would feed my husband and I as so big once you tip the containers on a plate. We will continue to be regulars we just love The Thai Way.

Freshly cooked as always. Piping hot and full of flavour. Top quality Thai food at a reasonable price. Just wish they were open more often.

My partner lives just down the road from Hoveton, and after reading the reviews, we decided to give The Thai Way a try.We were not disappointed.My partner rang through our order mid afternoon. You will see the menu on the website.We had the Chicken Wings followed by Chicken Thai Green Curry, rice and Chicken Pad Thai accompanied by Prawns Crackers.What an experience !The two ladies cooking and seeing were delightful.The food (particularly the Pad Thai) was delicious.All in all around £17.
