We stopped off on our way home from a lovely few days in wales. Delicious food, especially the cakes, great coffee, and a very warm welcome and great customer service. We’ll certainly call again next time we’re in the area.

Stopped here on the way to Pembrokeshire for breakfast. Absolutely perfect! The full breakfast was amazing, as was the service from the staff! Took a piece of cake with us and it was wonderful. Loved the decor, the craft shops upstairs..and the teaspoons! Can heartily recommend!

We celebrated my mother's 90th birthday as a party of sixteen in this charming, traditional tea rooms. The afternoon tea was delicious and served on beautiful crockery which suited the vintage decor perfectly. All dietary requirements were catered for, and unlimited presse, coffee and tea offered. The service was perfect. Attentive, welcoming and friendly. It was the perfect place for our celebration, I cannot recommend The Tea Rooms highly enough. An added treat are the two upstairs rooms full of amazing local crafters' work to purchase. Toiletries, jewelery, homewares, cards, ceramics, glass, accessories and much more!

Wow, what an amazing cake the Cookie Pie It was simply the most divine dessert I have ever had. the only sad part was I was 1/2 way to driving home 100 miles before I ate it or I would have gone back for more. the texture taste and quality are unbelievable a really excellent dessert thank you and very well done.

I was brought a piece of your Cookie Pie Dessert as a thank you from a friend and work colleague. This dessert was truly amazing, my biggest disappointment is I don't live nearby so I could sample more of what I can only imagine would be fantastic range of food. 5 star review from me.

I would heartily recommend calling this place for an order of cakes. My boss bought us all - as a treat - a choice of 3 cakes. I had the Victoria sponge. Packaged lovely with my name on it. I expected a slice of cake when I opened it, but, what I got was far better ! A generous slice of cake sat inside calling me to it it there and then! (a slab as my mamgu would say!) washed down with a cup of coffee. Perfect!! Diolch/Thank you Steve Male and thank you The Tea Rooms! Really enjoyed. :)

This one is in a funny old location, just off the B5242 on the approach to Glynneath. However, super people, cakes (locally baked), tea, coffee AND a little craft shop upstairs too. Couldn't fault it - well done!

Accidental find! Lucky us. Breakfast and the welcome was so lovely we returned for a late lunch. Faggots and peas and a lamb cawl with bread and cheese. Absolutely delicious. The place is just wonderful, so clean and organised in a relaxed environment. Highly recommended for locally sourced and home made food. With Thanks

Recently went to The Tea room in Glynneath, what lovely welcoming and friendly staff. We had afternoon tea there and have to say it was one of the best I've experienced. Everything was home made! I will definitely be going again.

We happened across the tea rooms on our way to Zip World this morning. What a lovely experience! Really good service, everything cooked to order, very reasonable prices and delicious, good quality food. Loved the crafts for sale upstairs by local crafters. We would definitely return and would highly recommend.

I was looking for somewhere for my wife and I to have lunch on the way between Gower and Merthyr. Very glad we found The Tea Rooms in Glynneath! Phoned ahead to make sure there would be space, told it shouldn't be a problem but reserved the table for just in case. Loved the decor and received a friendly welcome. We hadn't realised in advance that there was the craft shop as well which was a really lovely surprise! We decided to have a hot lunch, I had lamb cawl and my wife had faggots and both were really tasty and filling as well as being reasonably priced. Despite being rather full, I decided to have a cake for sweet which was really tasty too! After eating, we had a look around at the crafts and bought a couple of things from different artists. All of the artists are quite local too which is great! We would definitely return and would recommend a visit!

Lovely welcome from the staff at these tea rooms. Fabulous choice of cakes and tasty eats. The only downside is they don’t advertise all they have on a board or menu immediately. My friend and I had sandwich’s as those/ panini, baguettes, etc. was all that was in menu. The cakes were all in a cabinet on view. There was a specials board with just soup and more sand which fillings. After we’d ordered someone had home made corned beef pasty and another had a jacket potato??! These were not advertised anywhere. When queried the lady said they hadn’t put them in the specials board yet. That was my only gripe as I didn’t go all that way for a sandwich (although tasty!) However, the pecan and caramel cake was to die for. Gift shop by local crafters upstairs and worth a visit, although expect to be accompanied and followed. I guess it’s a sign of our times but I felt uncomfortable being watched so closely and ended up not buying anything. Tip: ask what the specials are/ what’s available today rather than just go by menu

Popped in for breakfast on a very busy Saturday morning - the staff had a lot of people to cater for but did so brilliantly; the bacon and egg bap I ordered was great value for money - the bacon was thick and tasty & the whole roll was delicious. Fantastic service and food.

Really enjoyed my food, avo on toast, with poached egg halloumi and chorizo. Coffee is the nicest I’ve tasted. Lovely atmosphere there as well. Will definitely be returning next time I’m in town

Fab quirky little place (off the beaten track so you need to find it first) but great friendly service and reasonably priced tasty cafe food. Came here as a group of 10 cyclists and they managed to serve the whole group with cooked food (bacon rolls) within 15 minutes.

A friend suggested the Market Tavern for a breakfast so I went with said friend to give it a go. What can I say but one of the best breakfasts I've had for a while. The service from the staff was excellent and the food came out pipping hot! 2 large breakfast, 2 latte and 2 OJ for around £30, you can't go wrong. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended!
