Didn't try the food just stayed for a few drinks. They had live music on, 2 guys with guitars putting their own spin on some classic music, creating a great atmosphere and the bar was steadily busy throughout the night.

It's a good pub to watch sports in. There are plenty of big screens, but it is a pity about the service. I counted 3 barmen and 3 other staff members behind the bar chatting and just ignoring customers. In the end, I had to ask if anyone was serving. The barman wasn't too pleased to serve me, it seemed. We just had the one and left.

Two staff just wanted to talk to each other, not interested in customers. Turned the match off I was watching at half time, so I just gave up on the place.

Not what I expected! Like a good Belfast bar and a good Belfast bar is really hard to beat. Good selection of drinks great prices and really pleasant skilled staff

High StreetFantastic late Sunday lunch. First time in Primrose so wasn't sure what to expect but from the initial greeting to the parting mint, it couldn't have been better. All the staples were there as you'd expect from a gastro pub with clever twists to elevate even the humblest dishes. My starter prawns came in a rich spicy bisque style sauce with thin slices of toasted sourdough on the side. The prawns were big and soft and juicy with just enough bite to give them the respect they deserved. Had to ask for a spoon to scoop up every last tasty drop. I had ordered the starter mussels for a main and our delightful server asked would I like fries instead of the bread which was a nice touch. I had the greek salad on the side which was perfect to soak up the broth. The mussels themselves were fresh and sweet and just the right amount, generously sprinkled with chilli, lemon and lime wedges. My companion had the mussels to start and the salmon with prawn cream main which came with buttery champ and steamed tenderstem broccoli. Our servers were lovely and attentive and the chef certainly deserved the highest praise. Great value for money and tastes that linger long after the last mouthful.
