Superb place that I have visited on a few occasions, and I’m no stranger to cafes or farm shops. Great staff working hard on a small cafe, with great service, superb food and hot drinks!

I really enjoy coming here, the cakes a bit on the pricey side but they are very yummy. Staff are friendly and helpful and it just has a nice vibe. You can pop in grab and go or sit in and you can sit out in a little garden area. They even sell duck food for 50p a bag and you can visit the canal up the road and feed the ducks but the fish love the stuff as well. It has a large car park with a nicely stocked farm shop and a pick your own strawberry plot. Dogs are welcome and cyclists often are seen taking a refuel stop here. It's just a really pleasant place.

Just lovely. Great food - the Tuscan orange cake particularly delicious - and good coffee. Also a really attentive and helpful team who were friendly and efficient. Really enjoyed the whole experience. Highly recommended.

Staff always smiling and friendly, the cheese scones are absolutely delicious, however they don’t bake them everyday so we phone ahead to check.

Good coffee, slow service, and a decent atmosphere on a farm. The space is large and bright, authentic, shabby, and echoey. Well priced beverages, and worth a stop if you're nearby anyways.

Lovely little café next to the farm shop. I had a cup of coffee with a bacon & egg bap. The bacon was crispy and the egg was tasty (lovely). The team who work there are a friendly bunch too.

Lovely location, friendly staff, but almost £10 for a very basic baked potato is going some!

The Swans Neck Cafe based at Halberton Farm shop is our must go to place when out dog walking, there is inside out outside seating with toilet facilities. The coffee and tea are excellent and a good range of cakes plus hot food. Would highly recommend a visit if in that area of Devon.

Excellent food and the staff were very helpful and friendly. As a bonus there was a farm shop on the site. Car parking was available with plenty of room . Seating was both available in and outdoors. We'll worth a visit.

I visit this place every now and then and always have a lovely experience. I usually order an Oat Latte and a cake but I've tried some of their food before and that was always quite tasty. The staff is friendly, helpful and all seem happy to be there which makes the atmosphere comfortable and relaxed, even when it gets busy. Highly recommend!

I made a detour and stopped at the red lion for Sunday roast whilst driving through Crediton. At £14.50 the Sunday roast was very reasonable priced. The potatoes were very crispy and the beef was cooked just right. The pub itself looked very clean and well maintained. The toilets were kept in a good condition and looked very clean. They had a woodwarm model 51 stove burning which kept the bar area cozy. I took a look at the guest rooms in preparation for a possible future visit and they looked very comfortable. The rear garden looked like a good place to have a drink in the summer. I will definitely call in here when in the area.

While staying at a cosy cabin in Morebath, we decided to walk over to Bampton for Sunday lunch. Just as we set off, the heavens opened, and we arrived at The Swan soaked to the skin, with soggy shoes and blistered feet. Despite our bedraggled state, we were welcomed warmly and treated to the most incredible Sunday roast – we both chose the chicken option, and it was hands down the best we've ever had (and we've had many!). Every element on the plate was rich, bursting with flavour, and cooked to perfection. After our meal, I asked about getting a cab back to the cabin, but the Sunday rates were eye-watering. Just as we resigned ourselves to the painful walk back, the owner kindly offered us a lift, which we gladly took her up on. That level of genuine hospitality is rare these days and truly appreciated. The food alone would have made this a memorable experience, but the exceptional service made it truly special. The Swan is a gem – you absolutely must visit!

My partner and I stumbled across this gem of a steakhouse practically by accident - it turned out to be a meal we still reminisce on to this day! We visited in 2021, so the review is to be taken with a pinch of salt, but from what I can see the place hasn't changed hands at all, and we were welcomed into a lovely warm dining area by a very kind couple. The food was fantastic, no faults at all. What we enjoyed equally was the atmosphere. It was so quaint and thoughtful, you felt as if you had been invited for an intimate meal at the house of a long time friend. The waitress was attentive and enthusiastic and made us feel at home. (We love cosy restaurants!) I can only hope the second time we visit lives up to this, but in all honesty, it was so perfect we sometimes think we don't want to risk it! A clean, welcoming, intimate dining experience with a few tables to create a cosy and relaxing atmosphere. You won't be rushed to finish your meal, and the outside world was shut off for us here. It's not often that you will find a restaurant that will hold a place in your heart - but I can assure you, we certainly found that here! We look forward to the next time we visit, and hopefully it will be in late autumn again so that it feels extra cozy. Will re-upload this review with pictures when we find them (again, it was 2021!)
