The Swan at Stonnall in Lichfield

We booked a table for a big group of us at the Swan. The staff were very accommodating, friendly. Special shout out to Amo and Rav who went above and beyond for us! Would highly recommend I’m sure our big family will be back soon ! ❤️

Best Curry and Mixed Grill in the whole of the west Midlands and Staffordshire area by far ! We always come back here.... The mixed Grill also trumps Lazy Hill by a Mile as it's more fresh ! KEEP DOING WHAT YOU'RE DOING !!!!

Amazing food, we wouldn’t go anywhere else. As a family we are quite fussy but we love the Swan. The food is to die for. It’s not greasy but beautifully cooked with care and love. Service is great, thanks Amo xx

Amazing food! Every dish ,on every visit has always been exceptional.

First time visiting the Swan for years. 4 of us came on Saturday night. The food was amazing. We were told there was about a 1 hour wait, as it was very busy. We were pleased that our starters all came out quickly & were delicious. The mains weren’t too long after. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The boneless mixed grill was the best I’ve had in a long while. Highly recommend this place. The owner came and chatted to us to apologise for the wait, but honestly it wasn’t too long. Very friendly staff. Will definitely come again!

First time at the swan, really enjoyed it. Staff are lovely & friendly, it was nice that it still had the charm of been in a pub, food was lovely, good choice. Looking forward to going again next week😁

Great little pub, good selection of drinks and fantastic mixed grill/curries. Like how they have left the inside decor old English nice touch. The only thing in need of modernising is the toilets - although very clean. Never waited more than 30 seconds to get served, excellent customer service and great tasting food. Family friendly joint and will definitely visit again 👍🏽.

Was a great vibe and friendly. Food wasn't that flavourful compared to other desi pubs, which was a shame.

Popped in after work very nice place lady behind the bar was very pleasant the food smelt lovely or though i didn't eat there.

Awful!! In fact the worst I have had… lamb rogan Josh… more like lamb ragu, lamb was soft that is the best I can give it… no spice! The keema naan was ball of red stuff that didn’t represent keema meat… I won’t go back… go the lazy hill tavern, might be more but you get what you pay for!! Sorry to give such bad feedback..

Just been to the Swan again. It never disappoints - from the cold beers and crisp wine to the delicious food, warm welcome and on point service,, this place is consistently brilliant. If you’ve not been you must. Trust me, you’ll be back.

Having visited other Indian grill pubs in the west midlands this is another that provides high quality authentic food,as we live south Birmingham it's not our first place to be but when we visit family it's definitely a go to place.

Had a lovely meal at the Swan this evening. Couldn't fault our meal at all. The portions were plentiful and full of delightful flavours. I had the Lamb Saag which was so flavoursome and beautifully tender! The staff and hosts were very helpful and friendly.

🍻 Lovely cosy pub. Not too crowded. Restaurant area feels clean and staff friendly. Mix grill slightly overdone as otherwise 5 stars for food. Lovely Indo-chinese food, very satisfying. Generous portions 🙂.

Went to swan about week ago with partner and gran kids to try food and drink we have tried a few different bar and grills !! But this is the best one we have tried Food was 10 out of 10 service was all so 10 out of 10 and lovely clean and well run !! We are going to make it a regular place to go Hard to find good food and drink and atmosphere under same roof 👍👍👍

Food was amazing, Deb and the team made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble when it came to what can only be described as an excellent customer service. We had a great meal here last night. The food was great, good portion sizes and the food was hot even though we had a table of 8 and it was a busy Saturday night.

Great selection of beers and ale on draught, owner is a good host and makes you feel welcome. Enjoyed the food, my son and I had the mixed gril which we both enjoyed and my daughter the tikka massala which was nice and creamy. All in all a good experience would return.

Unreal food, nice and cosy, very friendly staff, will definitely be back.

Visited this little Gem of a place this evening. Very nice warm atmosphere. Food was really nice, full of flavour. Tiz a Pub serving Indian food at a good price Staff are super friendly & welcoming. Will most definitely visit again, highly recommend you try it yourself if your in the area... 12/10 for the Service & Food.

Amazing mixed grill curry / bar. By far some of the best curry I've had, the Punjabi chicken is amazing and the mixed grill meat is to die for, especially the green chicken!!

The Indian food was perfect, especially since we asked the chef how we would like it and he made it exactly with the right flavour and spices.

Ordered a takeaway after reading the good reviews. Food came about 25 minutes late. Not the end of the world but when they specifically offer timed delivery it's a bit of a let down. Shared a large boneless meat grill as a starter. This was really tasty and we all enjoyed it. Sadly this was the only thing that was good. Main courses; I had a chicken Saag and Mushroom Rice. The worst rice I have ever seen and tasted. Not much chicken in the Saag and I myself have cooked better with a jar from Aldi. The same for their Chicken Tikka Masala which my kids hated. I tasted theirs and it was really not good. We ate the chicken pieces (the few that there were) from the curries, the kids also ate their peshwari naan. Sadly everything else, including the chips (how hard is it to cook chips??) went in the bin. I hope they read this and try the food themselves. This was Friday 15th December (so the pub can check who was chef). I hesitated leaving a negative review as I know how hard it is at the moment for everyone to make money but after logging on for something else I thought I probably should warn others as it's not exactly cheap. I really do want good food providers locally and I had high hopes but it is not right that this standard of food is served out...

Modern Indian pub with great authentic cuisine

Great food. Friendly atmosphere. Service was a little slow but most definitely worth the wait. Loved the food. One of the group got the order wrong and the restaurant rectified without hesitation even though it was not their fault. Fabulous service.

Our favourite desi grill by far! Cosy and warm pub, friendly atmosphere and hot, fresh delicious food! Plus a safe enclosed play area outside for the kids.

Great selection of ales and beers, food is high quality and service great. The atmosphere is great. We took our little one and she enjoyed it too.

Held a 30th wedding anniversary with 20 of us. Amo and the team were absolutely amazing. Hardly any wait on food, service was just sublime. Can’t thank them enough!

Service is extremely slow. We was not informed of the hour long wait on food when ordering. Meals then took ten minutes to get to us from the kitchen with some dishes going cold before others arrived. Management wasn't interested when Informed them that the food was cold. A free drink doesn't compare to £60+ worth of disappointing food.

Always loved the food here, tonight was exceptional, went for my birthday meal and what a great choice. Staff are so lovely, greeted with a very warm welcome. The locals are so friendly. Even bought drinks for my birthday. Not at all clicky like most village pubs. Harry, his sister and the staff make you feel so welcome. Loved it.

Absolutely amazing curry and the choice of draft beers is amazing. Definitely a recommendation from me. Another visit today again packed to the gunnels. So popular it’s unreal. Definitely recommend booking if you want to eat here. Yes they even offer takeout all the delicious food to take home and eat in front of the TV binge watching your favourite box sets. Definitely recommend.
