The Swan at Newport in Telford and Wrekin

We stayed whilst visiting daughter who is at harper Adam’s university. Excellent value for money- £63 for one night. You stay in an annexe behind the pub. Room was cosy, warm, what was expected for the price. The bed was comfy, standard double so if you’re very tall might struggle. En suite bathroom was small but adequate; dated but perfectly fine for one night stay. The main light and fan in the bathroom weren’t working but for one night it was fine. Shower was hot and excellent. Tv in room, tea and coffee making facilities. Room was warm with a radiator. There was noise from the beer garden until approx 1am but we expected this when booking an annexe at a pub. All in all it was perfect for a one night stay, central to Newport, near pubs, bars and coffee shops.

Love visiting the swan, Danielle and edd are fabulous hosts, I've been many times, they accommodate for parties,free hire of room, staff go above and beyond to make your visit,or if you only pop in for a pint very welcoming.The hotel rooms are lovely and cosy, very clean ,dog friendly,she I would definitely recommend if your visiting Newport, to book a room ❤️

Drinks were amazing service was lovely! Great atmosphere and beer garden was stunning. Located in a town with very friendly locals.

Went to this friendly, welcoming family pub during Euro2024 games, what can I say....the barstaff were friendly and prompt, the hospitality was warm and welcoming and despite the final outcome (England) the regulars were all in great spirits...the landlady put on free delicious food at half time which made the evening more worthwhile.

Lovely friendly family pub, would recommend to anyone who is looking for that cosy friendly feel. The garden is great in the sun too

Thanks so much for all your efforts it all went exactly as we had hoped, Even though the numbers attending were greater than we were expecting and most people stayed for the food and drink, there was plenty for everyone and the service was excellent and friendly throughout - do please pass on to your staff mine and my family’s appreciation for everything they did. It also catered so well for my mum who is Gluten free and can’t normally have buffets I would highly recommend The swan inn they went above and beyond even when I message to say we where going to be an hour early to the wake thanks so much 😃

Easter for the kids has been fantastic at The Swan ., Danni entertained a big range of ages with games , loads of eggs to find in the egg hunt and then the Easter Bunny arrived with a large egg for everyone.. all this followed by hot chocolate, whipped cream and sprinkles , a really great afternoon for the whole family xxx Thank you xxxx

Dani is so warm and welcoming and would do anything for you, never sees you stuck. 10/10 would recommend a visit to the swan!

We stayed over to visit our daughter who is at Harper Adam’s uni and for my husbands birthday. We were greeted by a lovely lady who checked us in. Rooms were lovely and clean, situated next to the pub. There is a complimentary car park on the pub land which made it so easy. We returned at night for drinks before bed and the landlady came for a chat which was lovely. We then found out they accept dogs, so we will definitely be returning with our two dogs on our next visit. If they did food I don’t think we would have moved from there all day!

Returned for another visit and thoroughly enjoyed my stay yet again. Katy is as lovely as ever, nothing is ever too much trouble and of course the landlady and landlord who are smashing it 😊

I visited the Swan the other day and was looked after by Danny, Edd and all the friendly staff they have there. The venue was welcoming and encouraged children to enjoy the spacious garden while we enjoyed a cold beer in the sunshine. Friends of mine told me of this place after staying in the guest house and could not have been more complimentary. I'll be back soon!!
