The Sultan in Carmarthenshire

Arrived JUST within the given time range (hour and a half) but the food was disappointing. All for supporting local businesses, but we had the chicken shakuti which tasted very bland. We also mistaking ordered chicken tikka main for £8.95 and it literally was 7 chunks of dry chicken tikka. Very over priced and had to microwave everything up. Disappointed but it may have just been a busy evening.

We just had a meal here, good service, food and welcome. The 5 of us had the special menu for £11.95 which included a starter, main, side and sundry. Great price and very tasty and satisfying.

Food was all cold and very bland no like taste to it, curry was horrible no spice or nothing too it, chips repeatedly fried so much oil dripping off them and so thick and hard from all the oil , horrible … onion bhajis was lukewarm but was only thing I could eat , terrible

Food was lovely and arrived early. I did ask for meat samosas and vegetables ones came. The delivery driver stated they had tried to contact me, but I had no missed calls or emails. Apart from that, the food was very tasty. Will order again.

What's the point in asking the customer what time you want it delivered when that goes straight out the window and turn up half hour later and cold. I will definitely definitely won't be using the sultan ever again very very disappointing

Surprisingly poor for Sultan. Never had a bad meal there before but half of this went in the bin. Onion bhajis were dry and powdery and korma suace was gritty and a very odd colour. Hopefully a one off, otherwise I'll be on the look out for a new go-to Indian!

The onion bhajis were stunning. Tikka masala was very red in colour but it was delicious either way. Pilau rice didn't seem authentic, more coloured boiled rice but still nice. Had a free poppadom too :) lovely food.

Lovely food, however, I ordered a chicken tikka main, thinking it was a chicken tikka curry, but I had dry chicken tikka. I think maybe make that more clear in the menu options. Food was amazing though!

rang the restaurant was put to hold 5 minutes. then the same staff told me meal will be there 14minutes. rang again as app said divered,which it wasnt delivered.arrived 30 mins later instead. Both Naan breads burnt black on underneath couldn't eat due to burnt taste. currys luke warm. rice was hot. not great 😕

Our food was delivered on time and at the perfect temperature plus the delivery driver was very friendly! The food was delicious, I knocked one star off for food quality and this was because of only one fault and that was my Naan Bread was burnt on one side .... if not for this it would have been perfect!

Be careful they charged me twice last week on my card and there excuse was its happened before not acceptable put me off going now .I had to wait over 20 minutes for a refund when called back in bad customer service need to work on there approach to customers as can be abrupt on the phone

Lovely meal, well cooked and hot when it arrived.

We visited the Sultan on Wed 6th Nov 2023 and could not fault the service or food. Nothing was too much bother, the gentleman that served us was friendly and helpful. Food was delicious, we would definitely recommend and if we are back in Llanelli we will go back.

Just finished a long shift in work (Dr) and ordered an Indian meal Arrived late and food tepid Sorry but meal was of little taste. Will not order again . Please do not keep the food warm .

Absolutely shocking service from the Sultan. My food was 45 minutes late and was cold within minutes of getting it on the plate. Communication was also awful, I had to chase to find out where my food was when my delivery time had passed by 15 minutes. Truly awful service from this restaurant.

Ordered on deliveroo. Really disapointing.I had kingprawn vindaloo and they were not king prawns and extremely chewy and inedible(more like chewy shrimp.)Vindaloo had a very very odd taste to it.Popadums were quite soft,and i also did not get my chutney tray whatsoever.Also the chilli nan had no flavour.Most will go in bin. I am in temp accomodation and wanted something nice to eat and at £42 i am so upset!! A good will gesture for tonights poor food would be much appreciated.

I enjoyed the heat from thier hot curry. 7/10 for flavour. Next visit they should concentrate on gourmet Indian cuisine to improve the flavours. Really enjoyed this best to offer in Llanelli thakyou. Will definitely return on next buisness trip...

First time I have ordered from here thinking quality of food would be better than other takeaways. Sadly I was wrong. Food under seasoned with no heat or hint of spice in the biryani. Sorry, I would not use again, but would recommend for speed of delivery and piping hot food.

The driver was 40 minutes late and told me to warm up the food and laughed

Far too much cumin used in the dhall and curry! Chips were frozen! Chapati in a plastic bag so sweated on way! I’d give them another chance if they just paid more attention

Food was fantastic! Sauce was nice and thick, the lamb in the korma was soft and melt in the mouth. Biryani full of flavour. Food was early and piping hot!! Highly recommend!

Extremely pleased with my visit to the Sultan. Both my partner and I were made to feel so welcome. Service was exceptional and the food is in my opinion was the most authentic and nicest Indian food I've ever eaten. Will definitely be returning again for a meal and even take advantage of their take away service. Havent stopped talking to my friends and family about my meal. Would highly recommend to all

Worse Indian takeaway I’ve had Mixed kebab came in a nan bread packet folded in half I opened it I couldn’t believe my eyes 4 bits of chicken 3 bits of lamb some mixed onions that was it £8.95 for that. Wife’s korma like p!ss not good at all Spicy chips been warmed and reheated easy 3 or 4 times.. Pilau rice was ok same as the Bhajis but an awful experience won’t be using the sultan any time soon..

The meal arrived just warm and needed to be heated up, this was disappointing but not a big problem. The meal was lovely.

Just had a take away here with my wife and i and the food was dire to say the least, spent around 45 quid and we threw the lot in the bin after just trying the starters. Avoid this place like the plauge.............. absolutely disgusting. Close the building down and give up cooking , for all the people who have giving a mid to high star rating i must say your opinion on good quality food is completely and utterly misleading . The only reason this place has a one star rating is that it doesn't give you the option to give it a zero.

Food wasn't 5 star but it was really good at a decent price, beer was expensive though. Nobody else was in here, and the service was borderline rude. Felt like I inconvenienced them just by being thwre

Gone super expensive and the portion size looks like it’s gone smaller also spent over £30 for hardly any food. Will not be ordering again.

Only little criticism is….. There is never enough sauce in the curry. But the food is ALWAYS delicious! 😋

Food and service were exceptional. Facilities need a make over desparatly. Sitting on broken chairs and the stair to the toilet are waiting for an accident to happen. Owners need to take action. Shame as this could be first class

I normally order a murshi rosun balti as it in very tasty. The chicken is tender and the spicy sauce is delicious. Highly recommended

Missing items from order, late being delivered

First time ordering from here tonight. I am usually not one to complain, but our order was over 45 minutes late, ordered it at 6:20 for 7:25 and it arrived 8:15, after phoning at 7:35 to be told it would be ‘five minutes’. Food arrived, items were cold and some missing altogether. Phoned the restaurant to see if we would be able to have the missing item delivered to be told he’d ‘maybe’ send it back out. Would be able to look past all this if the food was nice but unfortunately it wasn’t, not sure whether they are really busy tonight or whether it is usually like this. sorry but would not recommend.

We use the Sultan quite often, I will use them again, but tonight the food was bland, hopefully a tough night in the kitchen and will be back to delicious next time.

Normally fantastic quality and service, however missing item spoiled this delivery.

The food was a big let down tonight..this restaurant is normally lovely... chicken was dry in the tikka..sauce was not great,you could see the water separating in it as if the chicken was frozen. The delivery guy was weird, he thought I was some girl that worked in yummy in town..I said yummies ..he said no and mumbled something that sounded similar, I said once again that I was not the girl,he leaned against the door frame as If I had all night to chat whilst I held my take away, he went on so much that my boyfriend shouted whats going on..plain wierd that was🙈
