The Stonemill in Warrington

Ordered two roast dinners. Broccoli tasted burnt , roast potatoes still frozen ( not real potatoes were out of a packet ) carrots tasteless , cabbage tasteless and minimal the gravy was awful just tasteless neither of us could finish our meal wouldn’t recommended at all. Not worth the money .

First time here for dinner and a must have pudding and it was absolutely delicious. Will most definitely be back 😊

Had a lovely meal, great service, accept Blue light card too, had the steak and ale pie, food was hot and we were all served at the same time.

I attended a pizza making session with my grandson. It was a fabulous experience that he really enjoyed. The landlady was very organised, very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Once the pizza that the children was cooked, it arrived with chips. Once they had all.eaten, they then got to go and do their own ice-cream. Great value and great fun..

I was there today for lunch. Had a classic burger and chicken tikka masala. Worst food ever.Chicken tikka was like from Lidl for £1.70 in the pot and nan bread was hard like rock. Burger was for 3 bite and that's it! Spend 32 pounds and went home hungry. No recommend this restaurant!

Came here for the second time with my partner and again it did not disappoint. The staff were lovely and the food was delicious! We will be back! ☺️

When you enter, no one greets you to explain the methodology in the place and I went straight to a table to look for the menu to order at the bar, I was served by a young woman who apparently was not very experienced in the food ordering area, I ordered two 10oz Thick cut Gammon steak which, when served in a not very friendly presentation because of the dish where they were served, were already cold and with a degree of half-cookedness since it was noticeable without being tasted, wait if they came up to ask how the food was. food and no one did, I got up to return the food and my wife suggested that I not do it so as not to waste time. When I tried the Gammon, it was actually cold and raw, so I ate a piece and didn't try any more. I left the place without seeing a supervisor to tell him what had happened and there were only two waiters who didn't even care about what was happening around them. It was my first and last time visiting this pub, without a doubt, I don't recommend it.

Booked to have a meal their las Sunday and was told not serving food at 7.30 the member of staff was not nice who told us when we arrived not bothered to be honest when you ring up the members of staff should know what time they stop serving meals please take this on board as we all ways used to come here many years ago

Wednesday 26/02/25 Called in around 2pm was very quite so level of business was slow. Purchased two curry’s and side of chips and a coffee and coke. The curry was stuck to bottom of dish rice was cold Nan bread was hard. Orders also side of popadoms which was nice apart from being over priced chips also cold. Latte was very nice even though I had to wait for it. Shame they only sell coke by the bottle so they can over price that to. £46 for a dinner that could of got better in Wetherspoons for £15 Even Robin Hood wore a mask wow over priced crap. Staff was slightly rude as well and in caring . Avoid

Had a wonderful weekend in Liverpool, stopped off at this place for a Sunday lunch which was amazing,fantastic value for money,great atmosphere, friendly staff definitely recommend a visit.

Went here for Christmas lunch on Christmas Day 2024. Pretty slow service because the place was crammed full. Starters were good. Main course far too big, dominated by a huge Yorkshire pudding which was very poor. Both of us ate a very small portion to try it then put the rest aside as not at all edible. Typical pub Yorkshire pudding. Turkey was pretty good. It was served with pickled red cabbage which was awful no cranberry sauce or bread sauce. Sprouts were very small and overcooked. Christmas pudding with custard was fine but no sign of brandy sauce or brandy butter! Took most of mine home in a doggie bag to fry up today. At a cost of £59.50, it was way overpriced. Drinks were not included, so paid extra for them. Overall, a very poor experience and not one to be repeated.

Christmas festive menu for works night out. The food was excellent , plentiful and hot . The service was professional, efficient and discreet but friendly. Very impressed as one of our group couldn't attend and the staff offered to pack it for his wife to take home. The price was extremely reasonable especially at christmas.

Food ok nothing to write home about. Staff were loud and swearing in general conversation to other off duty staff. fellow male customer followed me outside and begged me for a cigarette, when I said no he asked for half of the one handing from my mouth as I was so shocked at his request. Really quite a rough pub,it's taken the place of the infamous Poplars pub but with food.

Typical pub lunch food staff are outstanding that's why I always go back plus prices are great

The food was delicious, that's without a doubt. Unfortunately the service was quite slow due to a considerable number of people but we did get warned about that at the point of ordering so we knew what to expect. Staff were very friendly and considerate but again, most likely due to the busy night very slow at cleaning the tables as well. All in all an enjoyable night but not for a quick meal out.

Brilliant afternoon with friends. Small portion meal was lovely as usual. We ho every couple of weeks on a Thursday. Live music, excellent. Lots of people in. Raffle, a game of orize Bingo. Total cost, £8 plus your drinks

Lovely clean pub .But sadly over priced for the area .not many people in late afternoon. I didn't see anyone order anything more than a bowl of chips. Far to expensive.

We go regularly on a Saturday afternoon, but we also booked a table for my daughter's birthday meal, was absolutely fantastic. Staff are always really friendly and helpful, food always tastes great and the pub has a lovely atmosphere. No complaints and will continue to be a regular!

Ryan a lovely person think more of dogs what about disabled people most.ofthe pub has dogs sitting on chairs and tables whilst serving food disgraceful most of the pub is for dogs why have disabled toilets right at the other end where dogs are allowed its disgusting put customers first the prices at sky-high so treat paying customers with the respect they deserve dogs don't pay the nill

Nice pub, breakfast was really nice. I like the idea of the sports bar area, especially now they've added a dartboard

My first visit and won't be my last. Met up with a friend for lunch and the lady who served us was lovely. The place is spotless and the food was really nice. However what really made it for me is that they have a dog friendly area inside. This is so great as often it's only outdoors and with our weather even summer could mean wet and cold. So now I know where I can get something to eat even if they're with me.

Ordered starters and mains Starters were dine, came out quickly enough. Mains were horrendous. Lasagne was burnt to a crisp, only the middle was edible, the curry, when poured out of the dish was also burnt at the bottom......how do you burn a curry??? When asked was everything ok, before i could answer the memeber of staff walked away (we assumed this was a manager as she was in a blouse and not the staff tshirt) i did reply no ots not ok, she came to the table and when i showed her what was wrong, she did offer to remake them for us, but we declinded as we didnt have time (as it was getting busier by this time) to which she just walked away......an apology would have been appropriate at this point but nope, we got nothing Poor food and poor service!! This is why i hate having to pay for food before eating. Wasnt expecting a refund or anything, was just shocked that she wasnt bothered in the slightest!! Real shame as we have been here many times and always found the food lovely! Maybe just an off day for the chef, but the service from the staff memeber isnt acceptable tbh.

Went for Father's Day meal with the family. Food was great, staff were friendly and they even accept the Blue Light Card, so bonus.

The pub was fairly quiet, not many people in and the place is massive, however the staff that were in were lovely, friendly, attentive, helpful, especially Shelly. The service was prompt and was carried out with ease. The food we had was really nice. We all enjoyed what we had. There is quite an extensive menu, varied options, including vegetarian and gluten free, and, a full bar. Toilets were clean. The bar area and tables were clean and will set out. Shelly was telling us they do a lot for the community and hold get-togethers with tea and coffee for anyone in the local community who wants to join in. They hold parties there too, it is great for parties, plenty of room. Great for kids parties too. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Shelly is an asset to the establishment. If we are ever passing through again we will definitely pop in.

Salt and pepper chips are the best we have ever had ( and had a few) the keebab and salad was amazing we ate there last year but did not rate but now deffo be going back as really loved the food

Cheap pub, food was OK but nothing special. Short staffed so slow service. Someone playing loud dance music, in the pub over the pubs music system so that was annoying. People going outside and standing right outside the door so constant smell of cigarettes wafting into the pub

A surprisingly tasty dinner at The Stonemill at a very reasonable cost. A few special deals available & I opted for a starter, main & drink at £20.75. The Moroccan spiced chicken skewer; warm tabbouleh salad, houmous & garlic flatbread was nicely presented & tasty.

Wow this place has certainly had a turn around following new management . !!! The lady manager is lovely and appears to have pulled the staff together to rebuild and achieve a NOW organised and working team . Friendly and approachable the staff are always welcoming respectful and courteous. Nothing is too much trouble . Very attentive and they seem to enjoy working together as a team to meet a high standard of customer service. The food has certainly changed too. A varied and enticing menu beautifully cooked and presented. Fresh Good quality produce served hot to your table . The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly . Dog friendly and accomadating with water and dog friendly nibbles. Children are immensley welcomed by the friendly staff . There is even a supply of tabletop games to occupy our grandchildren when we vist . We were pleasantly surprised to by the many charity events and entertainment evenings advertised. We will certainly be attending . Well done to the management and new team. We will certainly be visiting again soon . Great change around

I've lived near stonemill since it opened and it was never the place to be. Since Kayleigh has managed it we come two times a week for food and football and come to all the themed nights and days. The atmosphere is so much better and so many of the community now come and it's a lovely place to spend time. Kayleigh and the other staff are amazing and always look after us and my dog when he comes with me for watching the match!

We visited as a family and when we ordered the food, at the end (after the order had gone through but payment had not been made) whilst then deciding what drinks we wanted we were told that the drinks offer with the food couldn't now be done as the food order had already been done. C'mon, the member of staff could of cancelled the order (it was done 30 secs earlier) and the redone it so the soft drinks were included but told it was "too late". Rubbish. Food ok, don't order the pork belly it's not nice, though the gammon was lovely.

Under new management with the same good Joseph Holt food menu. A group of friends out for a meal and a catch up. Plenty of tables where we could sit. The TV got a bit loud with adverts at the end of the evening.

Very good quality food & very friendly staff, the draft beer was kept to a high standard and served well. All in all a very pleasant Sunday dinner 10/10

I am lactose intolerant and after a day of browsing in this new area to me, first visit ever in fact, stopped for a much needed coffee. No other milk other than ordinary milk is on the regular menu, however, when asked the lovely friendly Ann whom served me said there is nothing but regular milk she would get a pint of oatmilk from her car to give me my much needed coffee break. Not only offering me the use of a topping, but insisted I had a latte made of it, and asked another friendly member of staff to get it from her car! I got my latte, enquired quietly as to her name and reported to the friendly manager. Ann you deserve a reward, they say customer service is dead, NOT here it's not. THANK YOU ANN, from the very weary happy, will return visitor! Tracy.

Food was lovely , cannot fault it but we ordered 2 courses and a drink meal for two. A new member of staff took our order and did not process it correctly, we were not asked at the time of ordering about our drinks. Therefore was told we could not have them by another member of staff, who said "nothing I can do about it" . They didn't even try ! Won't be returning.

Popped in here for a birthday meal with the family, food was lovely ( compliments to the chef ), service 10 out of 10 .& with the up & coming events happening this place 🤞will only get better & better 😁

Really hate giving bad reviews but been here three times now and think it will be the last time, staff amazing cent fault them, the place is beautiful and clean and they do lots of good events but the food let's it down every single time chips half cooked, tastless or overpowering with no option to change on some items as it comes prepared like that 🤨, forgot cheese and bacon on burger which was brought out in a dish instead of on burger so had to scrape it onto burger which was half cold by that time, curry and rice tasted like a microwave meal. Mash tastless, if they improved the food I think this place would be amazing but for £50 everytime we go and me not like the meal im reluctant to go back.

Food was really cold and with almost no spice. Loved the setup tho!

The Carvery is lovely! Certainly better than the more well known Toby Carvery up the road. Desserts take an absolute age to arrive at the table though.

Very nice food, called in on a Friday evening on the off chance of a table, no problem, would have preferred more choice on steaks, not keen on rump, but everyone enjoyed it.

We went for a family get together there were 19 of us and the service and food was perfect no complaints at all we will all be going again in the new year thank you

Great food. Lovely staff. Offer a Blue light Discount for an added bonus, which is lovely of them to offer. Lots of kid focused Christmas events coming up too. Which look great. Breakfast with the Grinch will surely be a highlight.

Food - great portions and really nice. Had lasagne, cauliflower cheese and kids sausages mash and beans. Service- friendly service but food was 35+ mins. Atmosphere - was a quiet Sunday at midday. Men downing pints but not rowdy.

Such friendly staff they even have an area for your dogs, with a pawstation with water and treats great ice cream counter too 😋

I've been here a few times when in the area for business, and it stands out as having good food, a comfortable atmosphere, and cheerful and helpful staff. Above all, I've been very happy with the meals I've had, and wouldn't miss their Simply Ice Cream dessert.

Lovely quiet pub, perfect for a nice drink and some lunch. Service was excellent and the food was great. Dog friendly too. Lovely atmosphere and the family, dog and I had a great time. Loads of parking and shops. Thank-you very much.

Food absolutely shocking wouldn't give it to a dog .the staff are very nice and polite ..atmosphere was pretty dead... music was fit for a funeral .
