The Steeple Famous Fish & Chips - Mayfield Arbroath in Angus

Would give this a 0* if I could. Our usual chip shop (harbour chip shop formerly known as Peppos) was shut so we thought we would give the one near to us a go, wish we hadn’t now. The chips were the most rats looking chips I think I’ve ever seen, I wasn’t asked if we wanted salt / vinegar etc so I totally forgot to ask for it as usually in a chippy your prompted. I had a chicken goujon supper and I was up all night projectile vomiting. 🤮 AVOID ‼️ AVOID ‼️ AVOID ‼️

I'm really fussy about fish & chips, so I was reluctant to try a new shop. However, after a recommendation from my neighbour I tried the Steeple. One of the best (if not THE best) fish supper that I've ever had. If you've not been then get yourself along and see what you are missing

First and definetley last time ill be back. the chips look asif they have been lying there for months. burnt and cold!! even at that could taste some type of cleaning product of the chips how you would ever sell chips like that is a disgrace. Not happy atall.

Great fish and chips, efficient service and spotlessly clean. A bit concerned the staff were not wearing face masks although there were signs for customers to wear them. Cash only business.

Excellent place. Delivery was very good. Food was excellent and cooked well. Definitely will order again.

the fish and chips are good would go back to the steeple again the staff are friendly and quick service good value for money
