McDonald's in Angus

We used to go there all the time but it burned down so we were couldn’t come back. :(

Unfortunately, this place suffered an extreme fire on 20th November 2023 and will be out of action for a considerable time. Update 12/12/2023 Being demolished.

Sitting in having a great meal and I noticed it getting warmer and was then abruptly told by panicking staff to leave as their heating system was apparently broken and would not turn off. Still don't know what the panic was all about.

Food was burnt, couldn’t find any staff and it seems like someone had been smoking in the restaurant

Incredible, but it was a bit hot and the food was burnt.

ice machine wasnt working and my burger was a bit overdone.

The kids were noisey running g in snd out of mcdinslds also rhe kids just sat never ordered norhibg took up seats so nobody else could get in the staff were very ignorant never acknowledged y when y come up to the counter to busy saying what they were doing tonite or at the weekend

Ordered on the app and collected at the drive thru. Whole process worked seamlessly. Food was hot and very tasty. Staff were very friendly and polite too. Very impressed with this particular McDonalds 👏 👏👏

Ordered off just eat. Missing half my order and food was cold and the management were doing nothing about it apart from hanging up on me. Absolute joke. Do not recommend. Worst service ever

It's quite a feat how the Ethiebeaton drive thru gets worse every time you visit. Sadly my autistic child likes their food, as it's bland. Last visit, forgot drinks & Mcflurry after being asked to park up. Previous visits forgot sauces with a nugget meal, forgot burgers, over cooked food. The list goes on . I wish it was good, I live over the road,it'd be handy but hard no on that one. Here's hoping it improves at some point as I don't have any choice other than to use it until even my child refuses to eat it.

Awful! Like most of the McDonald's in Britain the staff are lazy and rude! The food is put together like a dogs diner and most of the time you get parked for something as simple as a cheeseburger! Understandle if it's busy, but when there's 6 or 7 members of staff and 3 customers the math just doesn't add up!

Shocking experience, Young shift manager didn't know how to run the shift. Poor older lass was running around on her own, while her colleagues were generally standing doing nothing and chewing gum ( health violation) 🤢 .

This place has went so downhill the past year but tonight was awful. Waited 20 m for 2 mcflurrys then when I questioned it because people way after us were getting large orders the young manager basically threw our ice creams at us was so rude and said they aren't melted in a mocking tone. Actually unacceptable to leave food sitting out that long when so many staff just stand about

Usual McDonald's food, service a bit slow, young guys on floor unhelpful, too busy talking to their mates who were eating there

Ordered 2 medium fries 2 drinks and burger and chicken nuggets opened the bag and there was no chicken nuggets!! And paid for them as well! 2ND review update. Ridiculous, and had a frappe that I ordered but it was all ice! May as well of been a iced latte.

Absolutely plummeted in the last 5 months on almost every occasion. Tiny McFlurries, cold fries (that at 02:00 we saw being reheated), a serious lack of sauce on burgers (from Big Mac to Big Tasty) & hard McNuggets, Selects & McCrispy that were also dry & must have been sitting out for a while, Prices have shot up (like the rest of the market) but the quality has nose dived. Such a shame as for years this was the best McDonald's in Dundee.

really bad service had to wait 15 minutes on 3 diet cokes because no workers could be bothered serving it. heard them talking about drink then ignored us.

I went with my granddaughter to sit in, but when we got there, it was overflowing. We were disappointed. We just got a takeaway.

Staff friendly and helpful, ordered via app arrived promptly

Definitely not fast food, waiting 20minutes for a small order. 8-10 staff standing having a laugh and joke at the counter. Why do customers just accept this as the norm now ? Poor customer service all round. Asked for a refund as I couldn’t wait any longer and low and behold my order appears on the counter in seconds.

Long wait to be served in drive through. When I finally was served the order was wrong ( which I didn’t notice till home ) and the chips were soft and cold. Btw the milk shake machine seems to be permanently broken and it’s usually the only redeeming feature of the food from this establishment. Not a happy customer! - this was a one off !! Have been back since and was what you would expect from a McDonald’s… fast stop gap food that saves you cooking when your too knackered to cook ! 3 Stars as service varies from awful to super friendly .. is what it is !

It's a McDonald's and you can expect the same standards and menu as all others. Service is quick and efficient.

As far as Mcdonalds goes it's pretty good. My only small complaint is I always ask for ketchup, and if I'm asked to park up its always forgotten about.

Usually good, however today got home after 5 minutes to find the food freezing cold and the big mac meal missing. I couldn't be bothered with the hassle of going back.

Our waiters name was Callum Clark and he was phenomenal cleaned all our things was very friendly felt happy

my coffee was finished before order arrived, only to find it was wrong. kitchen staff were to busy messing around, it was also cold. asked for refund and staff disappeared, couldn't hang around as had to go to work. never going in there again.

Basic McDonalds, but the service has slowed right down. Takes around 10 to 20 minutes to get your food when it used to take no longer than 5.

Absolutely disgusted and just raised my point to who I assume is a manager. They have just filled a bin with obviously unsold food and i questioned why, when there are so many people struggling now with 'eating or heating' options, that it wasn't simply given away. But informed it's "inedible" despite it coming from the same area of where the other customers goods were coming thru from grill and that all the money they've lost due to it had to be accounted for!.... More interested in the profit and loss rather than the kids going to school tomorrow never eaten tonight or that person on the street with nothing. These big food chains need examined.... Next time you spend 99p on that cheeseburger at any McDonald's in the country, think about that person or parent who can't afford it while this bunch are binning good food. I use McDonald's for coffee only .... Next coffee purchase will be severely grudged after seeing that tonight! Gubsmacked honestly!!

20 chicken nuggets for my 3 year old grandson and he ate the lot and he is,a lean boy

Really helpful and polite staff, food order has always been perfect, we've had no problems here at all.

Usually good service but my last visit to McDonalds Ethiebeaton was slow the food was warm but not up to this branches good standards. still out of all my visits I would take it as a one off as the McDonald's at Dundee Milton is persistently bad from waiting for food to being look warm and terrible staff attitude and the management never seemed to care.

Had a very nice experience on m holliday to Dundee. The staff was hospitable especialy a ladd called Aaron who helped me and my wife when we had trouble with the orderering machine.

Was asked to wait in car park for meals to be delivered, that's fair enough, they were busy. Food arrived very quickly, which was good but on opening the bag, one portion on frys was jammed in on its side and the frys were spilled out everywhere. Then there were no sauces in the bag. So I had to then walk into the restaurant, be rude by jumping the queue, shout for assistance to ask for condiments, all while our food was getting cold and my sons mcflurry was rapidly melting in the 28° heat. After saying excuse me to get attention several times, I was eventually acknowledged. When I explained the issue, the girl at the counter served me quickly but it definitely wasn't service with a smile. Afterwards, back at the car, my son said his frys weren't very good. Mine were fine, so I didn't think much of it, until he left half of them, so I tried them. They definitely weren't from the same batch as my fries. They were tough, chewy shrivelled and old, like a batch that had been reheated from earlier on in the day. I realise it's a fast food service and it's all youths who are employed there but surely there needs to be some quality control and management of the service that's provided?!

Waited 20 mins for a kids happy meal and 2 coffees and milk shake and burger was not hot had to take back and then they never gave my kids drink with meal and milk shake was like water never been that bad before put me off

Waited 1hour for delivery the driver said they couldn’t fine my house the food was cold will never order again from McDonald’s

So we’ll ran compared to the branch at Longtown road Dundee I travel an extra 10 mins to avoid that shambles of a place, needs shutting down

Went with my family around 1930, Thursday 14th July. The restaurant was half full at the time so plenty of seating. However, we could t sit anywhere as the place was absolutely filthy. Empty food and drink cartons lying about, sauce all over the tables and seats. I’ve seen cleaner pens in a zoo! Definitely not a place humans should be eating in. Whoever’s owns the franchise needs to get a grip. It’s clear you’ll happily take our money and serve up what can only be described as substandard food in a setting that I wouldn’t even let an animal set foot in. You should be utterly ashamed of yourselves.

3 times in the space of a week now I’ve came home to find I’ve either no fries or no burgers or wraps in my families order, happened lots and lots over the past while in fact , absolute scammers, how hard is it to pack a meal in a bag without messing it up, wouldn’t be so bad if I wasn’t 4 miles away from the place I went to get it I’d have been right back round but to get home to unpack and realise you’ve basically left out half the order I paid for

Visited at tea 6.55pm. Disappointed in the cleanliness of the place . Trays and food rappers on empty tables. Plenty of staff in the back but no staff clearing tables or emptying full bins. More interested in serving delivery orders for deliveroo. Quite a few customers waiting on there orders for at least 5 minutes. Sorry to say this has gone down hill. Very disappointed especially when my order was not correct.

I only started going back to McDonald's because when I went during lockdown I was told they could only serve me outside if I wasn't wearing a mask. Now the masks have been removed in Scotland they can't stay this to me.

Food was hot enough but the floors were disgusting.Bin not emptied so couldn't put my rubbish away.Trays with food all over the tables.More concerned about getting the deliveries out.Manager should be sacked.

Don't really get the big attraction with McD's. For me this is somewhere you go when travelling, hungover or in a hurry. Get a better burger from almost every pub that does food.

Ordered from drive thru told to wait in car park food came we drove across the road taking two minutes. In that time food became stone cold and two chicken nuggets disappeared. Really surprised that staff can't count.

Chips and burgers go cold quickly! Food seems to go cold quickly. Drive through, can be very busy at certain times. Close to Asda, Pets at home, Wicks. Asda 24 Hours fuel.

Not procesing orders through as they prioritise drive thru, and orser in shop building up as staff are not able to shout out loud numbers to people collect their orders. Worst McDonald’s I’ve ever came across , half wrapped frozen food , items missing , no sauce even though it was paid for and the free sauce wasn’t recieved , no straws either . Oh and you’ll be very very lucky if you recieve the correct order I mean the might just get mixed up with a chicken mayo and a cheeseburger 😅 if your struggling for a job just bang a cv In here stating that your incompetent and you’ll be hired within the hour !!!

Unfortunately not as expected. Fries were not good enough. They were warm, not hot and far from crispy.

Having not used for while as the previous twice the order had to be returned as both times it was incorrect. So tonight 13/11/21 gave it a third chance.. first impressions bright and clean inc car park.. but that is the good bits! now Mcdonalds like to use the word "resturant" and welcoming.. this branch is about as wecloming as a brick is through your window!. no greeting no hello nothing... used the machine to place our order(all good) until it tells you to take your ticket.. there isn't one !... wait for the order which was not too long to be fair.. observe all the "crew" which are all wearing hats and busy inc a lad cleaining.. two however are not wearing hats !.a lass with bright red hair who fiddled ever few seconds with her face mask!...not the best if it is sucking in lord knows what and then getting that on your hands!. so the order ...the second non hat wearing gentleman who i can only describe as stocky with grey hair and few teeth ( probably not the best customer facing individual in the place) near grunts as he passes the order up....no hello ...hi...smile or whatever,...or even enjoy i point out the order is wrong on the drinks...no apology but does replace it... you can hear the staff saying can't get the manager now of days? he was the manager? food was okay nothing special... will i return.........why would i!..
