Subway in Angus

Building was freezing (guy told me they get told off for it all the time but it was still too hot for him), there was only one fridge of produce so half the menu was missing, and the food we did get tasted terrible, my partner got one of the menu sandwiches and actually said “there’s no way subway can sell something that tastes like this”. I for sure, will never be back.

Shocking service this afternoon. Stood in queue and told will be with you shortly only to then be ignored as they served the young lad then came in behind me after they watched me waiting .

The service when in store is always amazing - the staff are professional, friendly, and accommodating. However, anytime I order for delivery, the order is frequently wrong. For example, today I ordered a sandwhich on untoasted Italian bread (I always order Italian and untoasted because I have sensory issues) but it came on hearty Italian and was toasted. The most common thing wrong with my orders are that they come toasted. The staff need to slow down just a little bit and pay more careful attention to what is actually on the order.

Served by Rachael, excellent service, polite, friendly always smiling. Kindly separated my foot long, so I could spread out on my journey to Aberdeen. Very impressed by Rachael.

Highly disappointed with the food from this restaurant the food was freezing cold and had 4 crinkle chips in the box and a few hash browns missing don't understand why u have a delivery service when people getting cold food and missing items

Awful. Women behind the counter gave me meat instead of a vegan option, didn't realise until id started eating that it was wrong. She didn't even apologise, her colleague said sorry and sorted out something Daft women needs sacking.

Well, you know what you are getting here, food and drink wise. This one is fine, service is good and they had everything I was after. My experience is it's often quiet too so getting served is not an issue.

Food was good, staff were also really careful to wipe down surfaces, change gloves etc, for the gluten free sub. Will be back.

Husband has just come home with the worst Subway I have ever seen. Bread stale, and hardly any filling in it, definitely won't be back in the Forfar one any time soon

The girl who did my sub was really sweet and chatty. Sub's good as always 🥰

The staff member was fine but service slow. But the portion sizes was terrible On 3 occasions now the portion sizes on a foot long or salad boxes is terrible, small amount of chicken in salad box but pay another £1 then get a little bit more.

As always subway sandwiches are the best but more than that the service was excellent. The chap that served us was friendly and chatty, it was late and he was on his own. Other than my nephew and I the shop was quiet but he was obviously trying to clean up before closing. Their was no meatball marinara left and my nephew phoned my sister to ask what she wanted as an alternative. Suffice to say things got confusing as he took her order passed it to me and then I passed it to the member of staff. This became a bit of a joke with the staff member joining in, making the whole experience much more fun and enjoyable. Considering it probably would've been easier and quicker for him if he had just taken the order. In all the sandwiches were excellent and I'm certain this was in part due to the laugh we had with the staff in the shop. Well done, highly commendable.

The guy who I took to be the manager spoke to both staff and customers like something he trod on he was obnoxious, intimidating and sarcastic!! Is this not the same obnoxious rude “Daniel” that used to work in Arbroath?

Staff usually great. But do check your receipts as nobody is perfect.

Ordered a 6 inch sub. Bacon, cheese. Only 2 bits of bacon. Didn't even cover the roll. More veg than anything. B didn't taste either the bacon or cheese. Waste of money

Subway visit was exactly as expected and no different from any other visit to a subway. Service was good and fast. Savvy2019x is a cracker, (see below review). Rather than a museum, he goes to Subway for his art hit! No mention of the taste of food from his visit to Subway. Perhaps if it had looked like a Renoir but tasted like his nether region he would have been happy. What a dork!

Ok If it was ever open at 7am like they have on there shop window 3rd time in a row I've been between 7 and 7:30 to find door locked and no one there

staff member friendly and helpful. Salads looked a bit passed their best some of the cucumber was frozen. The bread roll not fresh and the bacon and cheese filling rather tastless. All the meats looked processed has gone down in standards will not return

The girl that served me was lovely, however the store got busier as we were getting served. She was on her own and asked who I'm assuming is a regular to shout through the back for support. Another member of the staff came through and told her that she should be 'able to serve four customers on her own and that she'd need to speed up'. Felt heart sorry for her, as that's not how you speak to members of staff, especially in front of customers. The food was good, however the presentation of it was lack luster, as it wasn't covered properly.

Lovely little shop! My fiance and I are regulars (every other day) and have gotten to know the staff really well. Alex and Sarah always help us. Alex always makes the BEST sandwiches, while Sarah always keeps the atmosphere friendly, lively, professional, and comfortable for everyone. Sarah especially is quite a hard working gem to the store in my opinion and makes our experience very enjoyable..enough that we're always coming back! Definitely recommend this shop and definitely give props to 'em!

Always great food at quite reasonable competitive prices, good atmosphere, and above all, always a warm welcome from all the staff at the Forfar branch. Also the food is always of a good standard and fresh..... 9/10.👍

Loved this restaurant when I lived in America and I am so glad they brought it here. Friendly staff, great food, excellent location and not too much money.

it was OK service was good food ok.

So slow. Last visit I was 13 minutes, this visit I was 11 minutes. Never an apology or thank you for waiting. I have seen the owners actively stopping staff trying to use their initiative to help people who are still waiting. Then again it's generally the owners who are the slowest at the job lol.

A great alternative when you don't feel like having a burger or pie. The items on offer are always fresh and the combinations you can make are only limited to your imagination! There is a loyalty card scheme that's well worth the plastic it's printed on! :-D

It's a good place to eat and there is lots of great options. There is kids meals and also vegetarian meals and is very quick and easy

Decent healthy (if you chose wisely) food. Slightly on the expensive side but nothing too drastic

Everyone knows what they are going to get going to a Subway, what makes the Forfar branch stand out is the very good service you get from the lads behind the counter. They are superb.

Above and beyond.... As a chain they are all pretty much the, same....its only the staff and quality of service that differenciates one from another....this particular shop has fantastic staff who not only go out of there way to meet your individual needs but endeavour to exceed them....they are fantastic with the wee ones and patient with the fussy....if you are a tourist they are also quick to answer any local queries and offer recommendations....

Poor service, kept being told they didn't have anything left as the close soon even though they still had 2 hours to go. Not impressed at all.

Went in on Sunday morning for a few breakfast subs. Unfortunately, it was the unhelpful boy working today, which meant there would be lots of sighing and muttering under his breath. I wasn't disappointed! Straight away there was impolite muttering of dis-contempt under his breath about my order. A rush away to an area to the back of the store, followed by a look of death (to me) about my order. I ended up walking out as no-one deserves to be spoken to nor treated in this way. I will go to another store where my custom is appreciated. This isn't the first time that this person has been like that to me. I thought Subway was about variety and tailoring a sub to your requirements? Not at this store with this person. Generally, this is a good store and the manager is very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, he will need to keep a closer eye on his staff and their bad attitudes to customers. I won't be back to the Subway in Forfar as it's just not nice to be treated this way.

I love subway and the choice of foods. Great value and can be healthy eating. On down side no delivery any more. Plus the platter doesn't allow any changes. But all in all a nice treat and better than McDs

Forfar is lucky enough to have a good Subway available. There is a young man there who has worked there for some time and he is excellent with the customers. We are all about the steak and cheese and our son the meatball sub. Clean establishment which is Always a plus.

Ok so for £1.59 you can have sausage and egg 6 inch subway with choice of bread. Pay an extra £1 and it's a delicious foot long breakfast feast. America is to blame for a lot but in bringing us Subway it gets 5 stars. There are always deals on too for the discerning (tight) customers. Fast service and high hygiene gets my vote of approval.

As subways go this is the best ive visited polite staff decent helpings of food no long wait to be served like others in angus.

Called into this branch of Subway today for a coffee and biscuit. Excellent service from Ali. Price good as well and so nice to see someone who clearly enjoyed his job. An excellent ambassador for Subway
