It is a lovely place to eat. It's also great if you like railway history.

The Gluten Free english breakfast was just wonderful. I would definitely recommend to anyone with intolerances or allergies.. Nom nom.. 😋

Went for a 60th afternoon tea treat for my sister and was promised a booth only to get there and be told they were being done up and someone should have rung you. Afternoon tea was nice and the staff were lovely. The venue is really interesting. Kind of wish I had had food off the main menu as I had food envy when I saw what others were having. Parking is woeful which is the real downside.

We brought my grandson here a few weeks ago he loves trains . We really enjoyed our meal , nice & cosy in there with the fire . Lovely atmosphere & staff . We ll be visiting again .

Went there for a meal and the menu selection was nice and atmosphere great, the train carriage tables are cool, overall great price/menu/service would recommend and go again.

Wow sure this used to be a run down station years ago. Now it's a well preserved and presented place. Intresting local history and a great bar with friendly staff.

Passed this place so often - first visit. Great food, lovely staff and beer not bad either. Will definitely be back. Went today - 9 colleagues. They really looked after us. Good food and beer. Would recommend.

Limited menu, unfriendly but fast service. No price on scones, was surprised they came with cream, butter and jam but that was reflected in the price. Great location and really interesting upstairs part too. Brilliant access to the train station.

Feedback: for the roast, make some roasted carrots and parsnips and add some nice braised red cabbage. Also try and include an extra roastie or two and use proper home made roasties! A little tight as it's mostly cabbage and brockley with only two slices of meat... Just details like this that could make your roast so much better and more worth the value. Have you also changed your source of sausages? Had a breakfast and they seem different from a quality perspective

The food is always lovely as is the service. Great to see and read all about the history of the station and surrounding area. Train carriage adds to the feel. Certainly would recommend! On this visit three of us had cake and coffee. Limited choice of cakes.

The station held a wake for us in the function room. Sue was so compassionate and the service and experience was fantastic. The food was brilliant and all staff were attentive! Couldn’t have asked for more!

we had a wonderful lunch here on our way to Yorkshire. Our 3 year old daughter was treated like royalty by the friendly staff, who went out of their way to be welcoming - she had the time of her life! great spot to stop and play at the train station museum in the carpark, lovely food with good healthy options

This is a must place for breakfast and am sure for other meals and occasions. I can only go by the breakfast something for everyone. My choice is good old fry up couldn't fault it its a proper fry up freshly cooked not one of these self-service places. Seating is plentiful you can even book a booth giving it a railway carriage theme. It's very nostalgic with local history pictures and things to read about the area.

We had our anniversary party at The Station Cafe yesterday lunchtime and they did us proud. The food was excellent, as was the service. Nothing was too much trouble for the lovely staff. Our guests were blown away by the surroundings and all the interesting artefacts, several of them are planning to visit again when they have more time to look around. 10/10.

Our 15th Wedding Anniversary today decided to have a ride out and try the station hotel for some lunch, the pub and restaurant is amazing it’s a working museum and it is spotless the staff the food the whole experience was delightful could not of had a better day no matter where we chose would highly recommend The Station Hotel thank you to all staff and management for a great service and experience.

homemade potato pie chips & peas was beautiful by kelly the cook the staff was friendly and the service was good. A young gentleman who made our day by searching us out in the car park with money we left on the table what honest staff you have working for you . Had a lovely meal in here. I was very impressed with the whole restaurant. It has loads of history all around the place. You can sit at a table or in a carriage. We sat inside a carriage. All the staff were very helpful. The other customers were fun too. We had a cheese and bacon omelette for £8.95 and a tuna and mayo sandwich £5.85 also some drinks it came just under £20. We booked a table. I would recommend booking a table. This restaurant has everything, great food and great train history. A definite place to check out

This is an amazing gem of a place The food is fabulous, as is the ambience . Sue and the rest of the staff are professional and friendly and cannot do enough for you. My mum enjoyed her wednesdays here and it was the perfect place for a celebration of her life . Compliments all round and see you soon .

Well worth a visit. A beautiful station turned into a fabulous cafe/bar. Victorian style at its best, so well thought out and decorated. A cafe with style and atmosphere. Great food, staff and decor. We got a train from Urmston to Irlam just 6 mins. Then we had a lovely lunch and drinks at this great cafe.

Definitely be back again for some more cake. Some of the best I have ever tasted in a long long time. Apparently made by a young man there with obvious talent for baking .

Was told by member of staff childrens meals £2 after 4pm Orded 2 childrens meals at around 4;05pm i had pie, chips, mushey peas and coulslaw under £11:00 2 ice cream tubs and 2 ftuit shoots , a coffee and a glass of coke £30 :35 No recipt given as he threw it in the bin - wonder why !! On paying raised the issue as seemed too much as it was after 4, staff member re entered same info, guess whst same price Won't be back clearly not a meal deal Theres no longer a kids play area as the station box is there , no longer family friendly as they have romoved the childrens train and padlocked gates . Very annoyed and very dissapointed

It's a complete mystery how a place where so much effort and investment has gone into creating a really great atmosphere is incapable of making even a half decent cup of coffee. My second visit and sadly I won't be going back.

There are two standout features of this pub that warrant a 5-star rating. Firstly, their full English breakfast, while not the absolute best in the area, is certainly a strong contender, offering a satisfying morning meal. Secondly, their cakes are simply delightful, boasting delicious flavors and generously sized portions. I've visited this pub multiple times just to indulge in these treats. Also, it's dog friendly.

The coffee is unusually bitter tasting. They charge top dollar. The person behind the counter has no customer service ability, and barely grunts at you.

Adorable building with a charming vintage railway theme; enjoyed sitting in a booth which was like a train carriage. The breakfast was standard, offering a classic full English. Although there was a minor mix-up with the order, the staff quickly resolved the issue. Pricing is reasonable.

The most welcoming and friendly staff 100% of the time. Food is reasonably priced and very decent. Great for a cheeky brunch spot. Or quick coffee before catching the train. Indoor is kitted out nicely too - lovely roaring fire over the winter.

my wife and i came for afternoon tea , as i am a railway collector myself, we had a nice quiet time , the place was very clean the manners of the staff were impeccable and the food and presentation was very good , thank you all very much

Excellent pub with an interesting railway theme and great service. We were served at our table so we could watch the trains go by and didn't have to wait at the bar.

My brother has learning difficulties. He’s about to turn 74. He loves food, not that you’d know to look at him, and trains so what better place. A few of us booked up for breakfast. In our party we have veggies, gluten free and carnivores. All were catered for beautifully. The lady serving us was wonderful. She spotted my brother’s delight at all the railway memorabilia and gave him a book on steam trains. He was thrilled with it. We’ve been with friends and with granddaughters. All of love every minute of our visits and we’ll be back again without a doubt. There’s lots to see too.

We had afternoon tea which was wonderful. Didn't expect the starter it was lovely. The staff were very helpful, attentive & friendly. Atmosphere wonderful. We will DEFINITELY be back again & can't wait.
