Lovely location and great food - we had a light lunch, cake and hots drinks on a Sunday afternoon in February. Nice atmosphere without being overcrowded

We’ve been a few times now, mainly for lunch, but I think I’ve nearly always had an eggs Benedict because it’s good. Our latest visit was on New Years Day & the food & service was great as usual.

Hopes raised by nice ambience and friendly staff were let down by disappointing food - very mediocre coffee and an apple & cinnamon shortcake which seemed to have mislaid its two named ingredients. Can't remember when I last had my cake and didn't want to eat it :(

I've visited for lunch and coffee/cake on several occasions usually as a stop on a cycle ride . Nice modern food and as a cyclist I appreciate being given a bottle of water without asking. Also good that racks are near. The food is lovely and the service is great. The ginger cake is exceptional. Moist and made with fresh grated ginger. Maybe the best I've ever had. Scones came with pea shoots which is a nice touch. A regular stop for me.

The place was fairly busy (Friday, 1:30pm), not crazy, most of the clients seemed to be "socializing" more than eating. The food was good, well prepared and presented, but VERY slow to arrive. Wouldn't like to arrive hungry, and with limited time, during the "lunch hour"... The Espresso was not so great, luke-warm and quite bitter. Staff very pleasant and friendly.

Really good food yet poor and very slow service. In fact latter, left a bitter taste in our mouths resulting in us leaving and most likely not coming back again. Blue hair lady taking control in taking orders while other staff seems to be a bit lost and not doing much. I understand this is done to control the flow and not to overwhelm the kitchen but when you are told that there is a 20 min wait on the drinks it makes you wonder if it is personal! Not the first occasion either. Bearing in mind the nature of the business, it shouldn't take that long to make a coffee that's for sure! Have no issue waiting whatever takes for food, as long as there was a warm welcome and drinks on the table. Great place for brunch spoilt by one individuals attitude!

Unbelievably rude and poor customer service. This place was great when the guy that owned it was around to lead and manage service. Hate to single individuals out, but unfortunately it’s turned totally rotten (in terms of service) since the lady with the pink hair appears to be running things. Made to feel like you are an inconvenience, spend 15 minutes waiting for drinks orders to be taken despite multiple polite requests, and then told it will take 20/25 mins for our coffees to be made haha!! Spoken to like we were children and a passive aggressive undertone throughout. Perhaps it’s because we’re not the modern histon types (Henry hooray central). this is the second time In the last month we’ve received almost exactly the same experience, from the same individual - won’t be making the mistake a third time by returning again!!! (Shame as the food is solid…)

Sub-mediocre food at superlative prices lets down an otherwise nice café. We ordered poached eggs with avocado and hollandaise on sourdough. The eggs were a little rubbery. The sourdough was pretty tough. The avocado was just a halved avocado – this is hipster deconstruction gone too far, I’d like my food prepared a little more please! The hollandaise sauce was atrocious, it tasted like mayonnaise from a squirt bottle. We did however enjoy a flapjack and coffee.

We come here regularly for brunch and always have a good experience. Presentation is perfect and the service is mostly amazing as well. The outside area is really lovely to sit in and generally just a nice atmosphere. Food tastes amazing too. Only thing i will say is that there is only one toilet which can be a pain when it's busy and the portion sizes are small. As long as it stays like this however I will remain a regular customer. You won't be disappointed!

The food portions are ridiculousy small! I suggest you go to Stir coffee Histon instead - they are cheaper and decent sized portions!

Favourite brunch/breakfast place in Cambridge and I would definitely recommend popping in if you are in the area. There are so many options to choose from and there is something for everyone. So far I tried the French toast with bacon (summer menu) and the poached egg on a corn fritter (winter menu) and both were lovely. I also love the environment, nice and cosy to sit in the winter but plenty of outdoors seating to enjoy when it’s warmer. Staff is very friendly and service very efficient too.

We’ve visited the Station House many times since it opened two years ago but we are finding it is losing its charm. Gone are the days where every customer is treated well - now you arrive and it takes ages to be seated (despite there being plenty of empty tables and staff wandering around doing not a lot). The place loves bikers and couples, however when I go in with my young son or as a larger group I feel like we are treated like an inconvenience - especially by the colourful haired waitress who is only really interested in you if you have a dog. The food here is however very good, albeit slow. The Stuffed French Toast is a particular favourite of mine and the Big Breakfasts are very nice. The hot drinks could be hotter when they arrive - if you sit outside in winter they are cold very quickly! The “extras” on the menu to add to your dish are quite steeply priced and a reasonably priced dish can become expensive!

Such a sweet spot for breakfast/brunch! Gorgeous food - completely recommend the vegan breakfast (to share) and the feta and pesto on sourdough!!! Lovely service from Beth and Ant!

The Turkish Eggs were great and my husband's All Day Breakfast was lovely too! Both were served quickly to us, after we received our pots of tea, with leaves and strainer in the pot, each pot did 2 cups. Very efficient and lovely staff from waiting to kitchen staff. 😀

Favourite local brunch spot! Interesting menu with lots of options for vegetarians and people with allergies.

Second weekend in a row visiting. Had modern breakfast which is an excellent twist on a cooked breakfast. Today we had full English and waffles. Absolutely delicious! Also service with a smile which is always a bonus.

Cycled past this lovely old station and stopped for lunch. Delicious soup and bread sandwiches and cakes. Nice and clean inside and very friendly staff good customer service. Homemade cakes all at a decent price will definitely be back.

I went here with my family for brunch and it was perfect. I can personally recommend the broccoli beast smoothie - strange but scrumptious! There’s lots of outdoor and indoor space, gluten free bread available and plenty of cakes and sweet treats too!
