Friendly staff and delicious food. Good variety of food and drink on the menu.

Great place with good food. The menu is simple but interesting and tasty. Coffee and cakes equally great. It would be great to see another branch open in south Cambridge

Very busy, had to sit outside, polite service drinks arrived in good time, can’t be said for the brunch meal….waited a long time, poached eggs semi hard, bechamel sauce in croque Madame and cheese content lacked any flavour.

Been a few times and so far have had the eggs Benedict and French toast which were both delicious. Always lovely food and great service.

This is the best café dining experience I have ever had. Staff were very polite, professional and on the ball. The food was of exceptional quality. Wonderful atmosphere and a reall warmth and buzz. I have only been once, but my wife was on her 4th visit. Very easy to get there on the guided bus. Booking is recommend on their system. Will definitely be returning. Thanks to all the staff team too.

An airy yet cozy cafe on the corner of a cross roads. Even walking up to the station house you are greeted with warm festoon lights and outside seating which I am hoping to come and sit in when the days get warmer soon. We were greeted immediately and shown to a table. They served us quickly and kindly with a genuine care for our satisfaction and what we needed. All people working there seemed happy and well looked after and I certainly hope that is the case. The drinks were perfect (2 breakfast teas and a large flat white) and used hot numbers coffee beans and I suspect maaaybe Tea co. Loose leaf tea (as an avid tea drinker I can guarantee it’s a good brew!). The food was also great and not extortionately priced for what it was. Well balanced, good portions sizes and nice variety, particularly for vegetarians and also a couple vegan options. (Dad had the Croque Madame I think, me and mum had the avocado and feta on toast with added Haloumi that definitely improved it, would be nice to maybe see this added anyway to it just as the standard option?) We were wished a wonderful rest of our day on the way out and left full and happy. As always I only review places to either warn you or recommend them to you and this is a definite recommendation!

Staff and coffee are great. The food portions look to have shrank as the poached eggs were tiny on our avocado toast. Hopefully it was a one off as this place is nice.

We have been before and had decent service and food, but today was extremely poor and we actually gave up and left before ordering. Firstly when we asked for a table the host seemed a little rude, telling us that there were no tables available inside but that "if there was a free table outside we could sit there". So we went outside, found a table and sat down. There were waiting staff around but no one brought any menus. Eventually we caught someone's eye and asked for menus, but no one came back to take our order. Again, the waiting staff were around, but seemed not to notice us. Two staff members were sat at a table behind us, either on a break or having a meeting. Quite a bizarre experience and rather than get increasingly irate we decided to leave and eat elsewhere. I can imagine service being slow if they were rushed off their feet but there were several empty tables by the time we left and the waiting staff were clearing those rather than taking our order.

We had two appointments in Histon with a break inbetween to decided to visit the Station House, Ist impressions were good, a warm welcome and immediately shown to a table. On reading the menu its immediately clear that this is no standard lunch time cafe offering, no sandwiches, ploughmans etc, instead its a brunch menu using good quality ingredients, we tried the protein bowl and the smashed avocado, both were very good. Yes its a little pricey, but we felt we received good value for money

Positives: great location right by the Guided Busway stop Nice outdoor seating area Indoors had a nice vibe with different areas so it never felt overwhelmingly noisy even though it was busy Dog friendly- always a bonus in our book Food was lovely - we had a French toast and a vegan breakfast Appreciated the bottle of tap water when we sat down Negatives: Slow service. Our hot drinks took a while to arrive but worse, I’d finished mine before the food arrived Not a fan of coffee in glasses without a handle. French toast nice but a bit more syrup drizzle would have been welcome To sum up, while undoubtedly tasty and very instagrammable if you’re into that sort of thing, we felt it was too pricey. It wouldn’t stop us going again but it would have to be a special occasion when we did so.

A little on the noisy side, but it shows life. Enjoyable visit, just coffee this time.

We stopped by for brunch. Overall it was very nice the setting is good and it's nicely furnished. There was a bit of a wait for our table even though we had booked. We found some of the portions were pretty small and it was a lot to pay to be still hungry, particularly for the kids.

After visiting several times for work breakfasts which have always been good I decided to take some of my family yesterday. I really wish I hadn’t, first thing my wife asked the waitress is “do you serve Oatly oat milk?”. The polite young waitress confirmed that they do serve this brand so put our orders for various flat whites and breakfasts through. We had 2 x Shakshuka and a Turkish eggs. Both Shakshuka each had an additional options each which were bacon and feta, the tiniest amount of bacon bits and a minuscule amount of feta (a couple of crumbs at the most). were added, I don’t check pricing generally but £2.50 extra for what would cost under 10 pence is ridiculous. This is aside from the Shakshuka being the worst we have ever had, not sure if it has only been put on the menu recently but you wouldn’t expect it to be so watery so we left half each. Going back to the coffees, my flat white was so milky I had to ask for an extra shot of coffee (which they charged for), my wife said hers was definitely not Oatly so I went and looked behind the counter only to see a carton of her most hated oat milk brand, Glebe Farm. When this was pointed out to the waitress she said “oh, it definitely used to be Oatly, that’ll be £55 please. I did notice that she quickly blanked the tip section out on the card machine. Somebody more senior would have dealt with this more professionally.

So lucky to have this gorgeous place in my village. The best!

Great place for a coffee and a snack - waffles are a speciality

Best cafe in Histon for sure. Menu was good and varied, I needed a couple of things switched on the dish and staff were more than accommodating. Also seemed very child and baby friendly which I appreciate and I will return with my toddler! Lovely atmosphere :-) I have been to the other cafe in histon and would say that this is far superior in terms of menu, service and child friendliness. I also liked that there were not dogs running all over the place! My only very slight suggestion is to have the option of eggs cooked in different ways as I much prefer scrambled eggs with my breakfast :-)

Came here while waiting for my partner to finish an appointment. The food was amazing and tasted great! Definitely will be back when in the area. Would very highly recommend it if looking for a cuppa or some food or all of the above.

The food is fairly nice, although the potion sizes are very small for the price compared to similar places in the area. The service was very slow despite it not being busy when we were there. We had to ask the staff several times to get the bill.

Great little coffee shop with a very good range of food options and.excellent service. Very popular. There was a little confusion about our booking but the owner recovered the situation brilliantly. Visited again and still as good. Definitely a place to visit and support.

Had an afternoon coffee and cake with a friend this afternoon. Coffee was just right deliciously mellow and the lemon drizzle cake lemony. Staff were extremely pleasant. The atmosphere was homely and relaxed. Thank you.

This is the third time I’ve pre-ordered food and had to wait more than 15 minutes past the stated pickup time, despite placing my orders at least two hours in advance. The staff was very unwelcoming and seemed offended when I politely mentioned that I was in a hurry. No one even offered me a place to sit while I waited. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place despite the decent food, and I will not be returning. If you cannot honor pre-orders at a pre-determined pickup time, please be honest and transparent about it.

The Station House is right by the guided busway and a good spot to stop off from a cycle ride or walk or just because you fancy a cuppa and watch the world go by. Choice of indoor or outdoor seating, friendly service and a good range of cafe items. I just wish there was a choice of eggs with the breakfasts/brunch. I just don't like poached but that is all they do.

Just popped in for pastries to go for a team breakfast, first time going in along my cycle route. Lovely cafe and staff, the pastries were wonderful and looking forward to some time stopping longer for eat-in breakfast at the Histon Station House cafe!

Enjoyed the food. It was busy but they managed to squeeze us in despite not having reserved a table. They just let us know that we needed to be finished before the next booking.

Owner (David I think) is a rude man. Food is basic and if you want lunch at lunch time don’t bother as just lazy selling breakfast all day

The food tasted and looked very nice, the service was friendly, however they sat us next to the cutlery tray, slightly annoying as we had booked days in advance. Also annoying was the fact we couldn't hear ourselves speak as one of the members of staff continuously cleaned and sorted the knives, forks and spoons. The clatter and noise of metal cutlery in your ear as you try to eat and enjoy a conversation was extremely painful. The noise lasted the whole time we were there so we decided to leave shortly after we ate which was not our intentions. Maybe clean and sort the cutlery in the kitchen or somewhere away from the customers?

Amazing brunches, fantastic coffee and lovely staff. I adore their Turkish eggs, so delicious. Separate children's menu is a really nice touch. Dog friendly. The waiter taught my daughter how to make a Cape out of the blanket they provide for sitting outdoors, she loved it! Highly recommended

A friend and I had a delicious lunch here - I had the Turkish Eggs and she had Smashed Avo and Feta. Both were declared delicious and made with fresh good quality ingredients. It's not cheap - both our dishes were £10.50 which is a lot for lunch so it's not somewhere I would go regularly. I do appreciate this will be because they use good quality (and hopefully local where practical) ingredients. Being charged 30p extra for decaf coffee was odd, making a decaf cappuccino £4.10. The service varied - it was very good when we arrived and our first coffee and then lunch arrived in a decent time. We then wanted a second coffee after we'd finished but waited 20 minutes and no one came so we went up to ask. We were told that someone would come over to take our orders but 20 minutes later no one had so we had to do some fairly boisterous waving to get attention from the lady who'd served us. Lunch took over 2 hours because of these delays which was okay for us that day but if on a lunch break would not have been. We hadn't booked so were lucky to get a table (and thankful) as it was quite busy. I find the furnishing a little harsh and loud and also am not a fan of coffee coming in a glass with no handle. As my children would say, I guess "I am not the target audience"! I will go back for special occasions as all the staff were helpful and friendly and the food was excellent.

Such a fantastic brunch spot. Am a regular here and have never been disappointed 😊 Difficult to pick a favourite from the menu as everything is so good! Coffee is amazing too. They get their beans from Hot Numbers, you can actually buy the beans there also.

Was meeting a friend in the area so decided to have a beer and a chat here. Service was good and the space was clean. In general the place had a good atmosphere.

My regular cycling stop off. Very pleasant spot. Nice friendly staff.

The setting was lovely, the service pleasant enough and the food arrived promptly. What's not to like? Well, the fact that for £14 the all-day breakfast consisted of one small sausage, one piece of bacon, one piece of toast (cut in half, so served as two separate pieces), two small eggs and a spoonful of baked beans! Oh, and a slice of black pudding and a *single* mushroom. Luckily my wife didn't want all of hers, so I ate her egg and half a piece of her toast; but we both left still feeling hungry. I mentioned this to the waitress who served us but she wasn't remotely concerned, so I doubt anything will change. A nice spot for a coffee and a chat but don't go if you want to be fed properly.

If you’re stopping off for a quick BLT and a half larger this is not your stop. Innovative combinations with thought to both taste and texture makes theses dishes worth trying and coming back too. The ginger and lime lemonade was a delight. The only downside for me was the pairing, the lemonade with the beetroot was a failure and solely on me. Trad Poached eggs were perfection.

Visited for a quick business coffee recently. However, have been a number of times previously for food and drink and it’s always a hit. Staff always friendly and the place has a buzz about it. Love it.

During our stay in Histon we went there for breakfast every day. Food is perfect (I even think the cook is world champion in cooking poached eggs). Service very attentive and friendly.

If waffles are truly “homemade,” ours must have been several days old. Plus, quite small for the price. Too much acidity in the juice to appreciate the flavors.

Good breakfast and brunch menu. +Lunch bowl is a very good size, great ingredients, poached eggs cooked perfectly 🥰 Shakshouka + big portion, with 2 poached eggs, I've added extra feta cheese and bacon(next time, probably just feta). - not spicy enough, and I'll probably prefer pitas with it, rather than sourdough Overall, it's a great place, I'll strongly recommend it and come back again.

Nice place to stop for a meal along the guideway. Several lunch options that I’d never tried before. I chose the shoushaka and it was delicious. The brunch options included traditional favourites. Others had Turkish influence too but generally with the option to add bacon. Lots of drinks options including alcohol and not.

Food looks lovely, but only had an almond croissant with "hot numbers" coffee, hence giving 3 stars, lovely place to go for coffee with my lovely sister in law 🥰 will definitely be back soon for lunch. Nice little place with good quality options, however the prices are a bit off putting, almost £30 for two drinks and a couple of bacon/sausage baguettes doesn’t represent value for me.

Have visited a few times now and have always found the service and food very good. I'm sure a lot of people are now feeling the pinch of the incredible hike in prices but feel that the prices being charged here are quite high. I don't think that any of the basic ingredients of the food being offered are that highly-priced but feel that they could well out-price themselves if not careful. Just my view here.

Food is beautiful here but the service is shocking. I have just stood here and waited 20 minutes for 2 take away coffees. There’s not a single sense of urgency from The staff here whatsoever it’s actually funny to watch them stroll around like it’s empty in there.

What friendly, supportive servers! They're nice to each other, nice to the dogs and kids and families and people on their laptops. They even proactively look for ways to make people comfortable, going out of their way to do nice things even when things are going along just fine. Very grateful for great servers.

I have only recently discovered Histon Station House, even though I've known it has been there a few years. I've been there with my wife a few times now in the last month or so. It's been a great place to stop on a bike ride with lovely staff and menu. I highly recommend trying it out.

Just outside of Cambridge, nice walk and near a bus route. Coffee used is Hot numbers, which seems to be on the more acidic side. Staff were very helpful and did not take long for the food to arrive after ordering. Had the stuffed French toast with lemon Mascarpone filling and fruit on top. A really nice decadent flavour, I just wish the toast had been a little thicker!

First up in our capuchino was hardly any coffee. It was more like baby chino. So I gave my cup to the waitress and said so sorry this has no coffee it seems, or I asked for another shot of coffee, she said it is best I give you espresso which we agreed. We'll two issues first they charged us another £3 or whatever for the shot!! When the coffee arrived it was just milk with some bitter cacao on top without asking ask weather we wanted or not. This was I believe so that you have a bit of taste of bitterness. Extremely disappointed we had breakfast there after 3 failed success to get in for breakfast. It was our first visit. So my breakfast I had poached egg and shamelessly half a avocados is advertised for something like 2.95 if you want that on your bread!! Which makes tge full avocados nearly £6. I am all for 100% or 200% profit for any shop. However, for a noisy small cafe in histon Road to charge their avocados more than ivey or anywhere in the middle of Cambridge is ridiculous. It was our first visit &:we were testing it to go with family & with friends but we won't be visiting. When we shared the news with friends, they all said they have heard it from another friend!!
