Simply delightful way to while away an hour or two with some very good sardines and antipasti. A very pleasant young lady who was front of house was equally delightful and interesting. We will return for dinner before long! Thank you.

My husband and I have recently moved to Shelford and thought we’d try the wine bar one Friday evening. I stupidly booked the wrong week but when I rang up to ask if it could be changed, the gentleman on the phone was really accommodating and managed to fit us in that evening. We were made to feel so welcome immediately on arrival and the service was great throughout the evening. We had a lovely bottle of rose to drink and two boards of cheese and charcuterie (for one) to eat. It was truly excellent and we can’t wait to come back! 100% recommend this fantastic establishment!

What a great hidden gem! Stumbled upon whilst visiting Cambridge for the weekend and spent a lovely couple of hours enjoying the atmosphere and trying some of the fabulous wines by the glass. Bought delicious bottle to take back to have with our dinner. Will definitely visit again when in Cambridge next. Highly recommend.

Popped in for a drink- not made particularly welcome. Was offered a table to sit at, but a reserved sign was promptly put on the table. We asked about food, but was told it wouldn’t be available until after 6pm, but the table was required at 6.30pm. (It was 5.15pm when we sat down). We had two drinks each and olives and bread. Just short of £40, and included a 10% tip!! Very poor in these difficult days, so we left without eating.

Great wine and a nice place to sit and relax

Awesome food and smooth as silk wine. The owner was full of knowledge and his recommendations were spot on. I asked for a particular blend that is hard to find here in the UK and the shop had a few bottles to choose from. My wife and I were very happy after having a great meal, great wine, and a few bottles to take home. Keep up the good work y’all! We will be back soon 🤙

Great selection of wine and beverages

Lovely wine bar with friendly staff and atmosphere. They've got a large range of wines available by the glass, so plenty to try! The food is also delicious, well worth a visit. Definitely book unless you're just popping in for a drink.

Excellent range of unusual wines, knowledgeable and friendly staff,classy ambiance without being pretentious and simple affordable menu (although we didn't eat). All in all a nice change from the pub & the place to go to for that special bottle to impress your host.

This place is bursting at the seams with the best wines and a pleasant duo of very knowledgeable helpers, well worth the short trip out of town from Cambridge for a tasing evening. Putting the “great” in Great Shelford!

Since joining the wine club, and having some of the other monthly or seasonal mixed cases, i've consistently had some of the loveliest and most interesting wines. Just sad i didn't start coming here earlier.

First visit after driving past for months. Yes it's a wine shop (and a bloody good one at that), but there is a great selection of wines on the menu to drunk in by the glass, carafe or bottle. We had a glass of the Shiraz each and liked it so much we bought a bottle to come home with. Oh and the snacks, very superior and the bread is to die for! Can see this becoming a firm favourite of mine

Outstanding! I'm in NZ and ordered wine for Xmas gifts for people in the UK. Noel and Dan were extremely helpful in answering my questions and had a very good range of NZ wines on offer. The packages arrived exactly as planned and the recipients were very happy indeed. Many thanks for such great customer service.

Phenomenal expertise and access to some top class wines. A little off the beaten track but worth seeking out if quality is important to you. Easy to order online too.

Really nice atmosphere and friendly attentive staff - and as expected, a huge wine list. Even though I was driving I didn't feel short changed - the non-alcoholic orange wood Rocktails drink I tried was wonderful.

Excellent meal last night washed down with a cracking Zinfandel, nice environment and the very best service as you would expect from Noel and the guys. Top notch.

We went on a night when no hot food but their cheese and meat platters are fab. They also do hot cheese toasties etc on these evenings too so the choice is wider than I expected. Lots of lovely wine by the glass, carafe and you can buy any bottle from the shop, add £10 corkage and drink it there! So endless choice. We'll definitely be back to sample the hot meals!

A fantastic spot for a delicious glass (or two) of wine! The atmosphere is cosy and bright, being surrounded by bottles of wine is really unique - its such a stylish space. The team here are so knowledgeable about their wines, and the food was fabulous too! Can’t wait to go back
