Beautiful restaurant and beautiful setting. Food and drinks really good. We visited for a quick drink as we passed the local area and ended up returning the same day for a roast dinner. We are returning later in the week for more yummy meals. An excellent choice for great food, service and wine!

Met friends here for Sunday lunch. Nice table near fire as requested. Good efficient friendly service. We had three beef dinners and a fish and chips. Excellent delicious food. Cannot recommend highly enough. Thankyou to all the staff. Great experience for us. We will be returning.

Very nice food. I particularly enjoyed the coleslaw, the apple and winter berry crumble and the coffee. All served very fast . Might be back later this week!

A lovely setting, cosy and friendly. Unfortunately the experience was let down by some pretty run of the mill food offerings. This is a great pity as it could be amazing.

We went on the Thursday evening before Christmas and there was noone else in there apart from our party of 4. The food was OK but expensive for what it was and whilst the place is well presented there was little atmosphere coz it was just us 4.

What a lovely cozy, Christmas lunch! We were greeted with a bright smile from Jack, who made us feel very welcome. Tasteful Christmas decor and music surrounded us, together with a log fire burning in the corner... What a gorgeous atmosphere! We chose from the Weekday special menu, (lots of choice) which at two meals for £20 is excellent value. I had the Cottage Pie, which was absolutely delicious and the accompanying seasonal veg was perfect. The Hubster chose Thai Green Curry, always a winner for him. Hot drinks are also included in the price. Earl Grey Tea for me, Flat White for the Hubster (I told you it was great value!) We love it here and will definitely come again. Well done everyone

I was pleased when it was suggested that I was being taken to the stables for my birthday meal. I had heard good things about the place and I wasn't to be disappointed. The food and service were both excellent. The food, in particular, was extremely good in terms of execution appearance and taste. Equally, the service was attentive without being intrusive.

We found this place by chance on Britstop, They were the only ones in the area that answered the phone 😊 We have traveled up and been more than pleasantly surprised. Warm welcome in the restaurant, lovely atmosphere with people enjoying a Birthday gathering, and others enjoying their meals, staff were more than accommodating especially with slight changes to the dishes. We enjoyed a sirloin steak cooked to perfection, a pizza which hubby really enjoyed and we shared the halloumi skewers. For dessert we loved the sticky toffee pudding which was absolutely delicious, needless to say we left very happily stuffed. Everything was clean and tidy especially the toilets we could use as we were in a camper. Lovely quiet night slept well and refreshed. to be welcomed back in the restaurant for breakfast which again was perfect, we both had cooked breakfast and a side of croissant, My hubby would say I am one of the fussiest eaters going but wow to the sausages one of the best I have eaten and that really is saying something 😊 It was lovely to see the farm dogs walking around the chickens walking freely around the whole place 😍 Kids go kart and toys to play with, beautiful lake in the middle. Now off to see the seals 🦭 and will most definitely return here Thank you so much for your perfect hospitality 😊

This certainly wasn't slow cooked. I couldn't even cut it with my knife it was so tough. - Not enough gravy - The outside of the roast potatoes were so hard in places we couldn't cut them. - No one came round to ask if our food was OK even though it was plain to see the beef dish hadn't been eaten. - When we finally called someone over to tell them about the beef we had no reaction. - When the bill came and the beef dish was questioned they took 20% off that dish (about £3) which hardly compensated for a very disappointing meal. - The waitress said no one else had complained although we witnessed the customer on the next table wrap her beef in a serviette to dispose of later. Stumbled across this place on our way back from Mablethorpe. The staff were really nice, we sat outside with our dog and had hot drinks and scones, which were lovely. We were then greeted by the owners two border collies who were the absolutely cutest!. We would definitely recommend going if you are dog lovers/owners.

Absolutey fabulous food was exceptional the place was nice and warm with a wood burner in the corner the prices were good for the quality of the food I would definitely recommend this place to eat and would definitely visit again thanks...

Had Sunday lunch, everything on the plate and the staff were excellent, pork with crackling on the menu, no crackling on the plate, but charged me £1.50 for a Yorkshire pudding.

Over the week, between 4 of us, we have probably had the many dishes from the menu. From Stuffed Mushroom to Hunters Chicken Burger to Sticky Toffee Pudding. Of course not everything was to the satisfaction of everyone but that's life. If your wondering, I'm a plain person and the BBQ sauce was a little too spicy for me. Place is very clean and tidy, good atmosphere with background music and low lighting. Toilets as the rest are immaculate. The staff are cheerful, friendly and can give and take a bit of banter, when time to do so. Good beer, Good wine, Good service = Fantastic evenings. Thank you.

We had a fantastic Sunday afternoon in the BBQ Hut for 7 people. The food was great, large meat potions, plenty of lovely salads and large fresh rolls. I asked for a gluten free roll for Mum and a gluten free Caesar Salad was offered too which was much appreciated. The service was great! I'd thought we may have to go to the restaurant to order drinks but we were very well looked after with someone popping in regularly to check if we needed anything, offer helpful advice on using the BBQ, bring drinks and side orders. They even found us some marshmallows and sticks to round off with! There are toilets in the main building right next to the hut which were handy for hand washing during cooking and they were sparkling clean. There were plenty of BBQ tools so we could use separate tongs for raw and cooked food. Table space is limited but there was plenty of room on the benches for salads and drinks. It was cosy and comfortable especially when it poured with rain outside. A lovely experience whatever the weather. Thank you!

Really enjoyed the food even though we waited just over an hour for our starters. Me and my partner had prawn cocktails to start and a roast beef dinner as our main. It was worth the wait, heavenly mix of flavours and plenty of beef left us feeling well fed and satisfied. Provided with extra gravy upon request. The only thing I’d grumble about is the price £62 when the rest of our group seemed to pay less for the same, not sure if the server had put it in wrong when it was time to pay. Overall though a really pleasant experience, good job we had nothing planned in the afternoon.

Just had one of the best meals we have had for a long time. Partner had the ultimate burger and omg did he struggle in the end think the burger won. I’m gluten free and they were brilliant. Even made me pepper corn sauce. Thank you for a lovely meal.

Fun spot and fantastic staff. We went for drinks and caviar, and ended up having dinner in the bar as well. Many rooms within the bar are one table only so very cozy. Food was excellent, service as well. We will defiantly go back, likely stat at the property as well. Dover Sole was very good, as was the Caviar service.

Great for lunch. The resident dogs were a little intrusive at the table but otherwise a pleasant place for lunch. Toilets clean and accessible.

I would highly recommend the stables bar & restaurant. I went with my family to celebrate a number of birthdays. All the waiting staff were very welcoming, friendly and the service was great. We preordered our food as we were a large group and our food was delicious. The setting of the restaurant is beautiful, fabulous for relaxing and fantastic for the children with the space, park and animals. I would not hesitate in booking here again. Such a fab find! Very impressed with everything on offer, from the play area for kids to the choice of food - including the best bacon ever on the Hunters burger (highly recommended by our 9 year old!). Will definately look to return here x

Food was nice. Not as nice as some places I've eaten from, for the price you pay, I feel having to stay there just to get a discount isn't good. Food was a long time wait. And then, when told there was a hair in my partner's food the server just said ooh. Was going to ask for new plate of food but would have been waiting a long time as the service was really slow. I get they could've been busy but you ask people to come in for extra time off, it isn't hard.

We've driven past the Stables many times but never stopped. We thought we'd give it a go today and it was faultless. I had a bacon, brie and cranberry ciabatta. The ciabatta was very fresh, the bacon was the best I've had in a long time. Beautiful and thick. We shared a portion of chips which were fresh cut and not frozen. Coleslaw was hand made. Mum had a jacket potato with prawns and she really enjoyed it. The sauce came separately so the prawns weren't drenched. Dad also had the ciabatta and he thought it was great. Wasn't overly expensive bearing in mind the food was fresh and hand made. The room itself was lovely and we had a walk round the grounds. Definitely worth a visit.

Have been before, it is a nice place to eat, but had reservations, but decided to go again. Staff are great, but. Starters were ok but the mains to be honest should not have been sent out, I had scampi for a change as it has been a long time since I last had them. They were sent out piled on top of the chips, and the scampi was burned and hard. Cut through the coating and the scampi had shrunk and very dry. I did complain and they replaced the meal which was as it should have been in the first place. My Wife ha Salmon, which had very burned skin and dry Salmon but edible. She did not want to send it back as I had sent mine back. This was a kitchen fault as a good chef would never send food out like that. We have owned a restaurant so know what I am talking about. It is a shame as we have a holiday lodge nearby and not many nice places to go for a meal.

Only attended for a funeral, bar service was slow and the food selection was limited, it was a beautiful setting and a lovely day which made it a nice experience

Such a lovely place to go for meals. Often go to mablethorpe for a long weekend and always book here for food. Might even stay in their accommodation one day. Great that they have dog friendly parts too!

Very disappointed as have been before and loved it. Unfortunately not up to same standard, my son found a dead fly under his egg when he cut into it, then as the waitress had taken it away I looked at my husbands plate, only to see a dead fly cooked into the side of it. The waitress was mortified, she got them to redo them and refunded them both of the bill. But the more I think about it the more disgusted I feel.

Food albeit a tad expensive was okay. Service good. I was expecting something grander after viewing their website. It’s situated in a holiday park, with lakes for fishing and plenty of things for children to enjoy, chickens rabbits etc. would visit again.

Really nice food and really nice atmosphere Will definitely be coming again

Just returned from The Stables after calling in for lunch. We have eaten there many times in the past but today was awful. No real ale whatsoever and when we asked for the cushions for the egg chairs we were sat on we were told that they had no idea where they were. Food took longer than normal and we ordered Bacon Brie & Cranberry loaded fries which were overcooked and all were crispy. We also ordered a Club Sandwich. When I took my first bite it all tasted burnt so then I checked the toast which was black and had been hidden at the bottom. A lot of the bacon was just fat. We have in the past had some lovely meals here but as we were sat nearest to the kitchen all we could hear was singing and laughter. Maybe it would be better if they concentrated on the meals more! We were waiting for staff to collect our plates but I think they could see we had left most of the meal so didn't bother to come over to see if we had enjoyed it even though they usually do come over to ask. We made a point of going over to the bar to express our disappointment but was just told that they would let the chefs know. Today's experience has put us off returning in the future!

We had bottomless brunch with the ladies of the family and it was brilliant. The service we received was really good , they kept our glasses topped up for the whole 90 minutes, the food was delicious and the surroundings are beautiful. Definitely worth a visit.

Great food Great service good price fantastic for being out doors in summer

This use to one of our favourite places. We always highly recommended to friends and family. The last two times we’ve been we’ve been really disappointed. My husbands coffee was spilt on him, no apology the waiter laughed it off and didn’t offer to replace, instead went to discuss who took their fag break first. Last week we went were told we’d have to wait an hour for food which wasn’t a problem, we took a seat and waiter, 45 minutes passed and we still hadn’t been given menus or offered any drinks so we left. Spoke to a few other people that also had the same service and felt that the site had grown however staff numbers hadn’t grown with it. Main bar staff are longer police or welcoming, really disappointed. When I have mentioned to staff about it, they were less than interested with our feedback.

Good food and attentive staff, what more could you ask.

Had Sunday roast all 5 members of our party really enjoyed , will definitely be revisiting soon.

I'd just like to update my review. Due to health issues, I had to turn a table booking into a take out meal. They were really accommodating and the food was excellent! Thank you ever so much team Stables for making that happen. You rock! Popped in with my wife and parents just after Christmas and had a fantastic meal. Between us we had two fish and chips, and two steaks. They accommodated various preferences and dietary requirements for us. Price was good and large portion size was appreciated at the end of a 200 mile drive. One of the best steaks (medium rare for me) I've ever had to be honest. Can't wait to go back.

This is a very difficult one. We attended a wedding which was wonderful, well kitted out. Beautiful food and good service. Clean tidy and beautiful outside area. But the price of drinks are nearly london prices. But again very beautiful lovely for kids and great food

Found this little gem just down the road from where we are staying. Gorgeous setting. We sat outside under the gazebo. Food and service great. All left pleasantly full up. 3 stars for atmosphere as 2 collies roaming loose and snarled and snapped at our dog and sat by us looking for food. Other than this it was all fab and we would definitely visit again.

First time here and will not be the last. Good food and good ambience. Really enjoyable evening.

Last Thursday I came to see PAUL Humphreys. We were in a tipi far to small. So noisey outside and a group of drunken ladies laughingly and making fun of people reading. It was not fair on PAUL or everyone else that payed to see him. Maybe think more about it next time and have it in room. No one could concentrate on there readings.

We popped in here as we were passing, the food was great, the service was really good, very clean, nice beers on tap, we are holidaying in the area next year and will definitely come here again for a meal, we are also looking at coming here for a holiday too as the site looks really nice and quiet too

Food was nice enough but didn’t blow us away. We were the only ones in there to start with and they put us on a small wobbly table, which wasn’t ideal. When we left, there were two more tables eating so they were not overbooked. Wouldn’t say it was particularly cheap either. However, it was very smart and tidy establishment.

Went to bike meet, bar-b-q and live band, was great, lovely place which we will visit again 😀

Lovely welcoming restaurant with great food at good prices. Stand out dishes are always the fish & chips but the onion rings also are fabulous (I judge a place on its onion rings!). In the summer the outdoor area is lovely; we are in the tipi one evening as although it was a nice evening, it was a bit chilly. Cocktail s are good too! Plus, if you are staying on site (& I urge you to do so) you receive 10% discount in the restaurant - win, win!

Having owned a static caravan close by for the last year, we call here regularly. I had my 60th Birthday Party in the Tipi, we call in for drinks and we have had lots of meals! Every visit has been wonderful! The food is amazing, the staff are fantastic, especially Dan and Jack who are fabulous hosts and nothing is too much trouble! Totally recommend the Stables Bar, looking forward to another summer next year!

Up here visiting family, and we popped in last night for a glass of wine and then booked for dinner tonight. We were not disappointed as we had a lovely meal and we were very well looked after by Jack. Thank you for having us, and we will look forward to visiting again when we are next in the area.

Lovely place! We really enjoyed our meal there whilst on holiday in a nearby cottage. Great food and excellent service. Would love to visit again in the summer to sit in the outside area as it looks lovely.

Stopped off for lunch with the missus. Lovely place. The food was excellent. I had Haloumi fries, followed by Grimsby fish and chips....couldn't eat it all, but it was beautifully cooked and presented. We don't live too far away, so will definitely return.

I booked a table for lunch for myself and my husband who because of his kidney failure is always cold. We wanted to take our little dog with us and so booked a table in their tipi. The staff were so obliging and as well as putting the heating on for us they also provided blankets for us to use. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. We will definately be going back soon.

Me and my son went for a lovely meal here, our waitress was fantastic very friendly and welcoming. My son had homemade chicken nuggets which he loved and I had home made steak and ale pie and I would go as far as saying it was probably 1 of the best homemade pies I've ever had, when visiting again we will be sure to visit here again 😀

We came here twice last week, once for evening meal and second one for Sunday dinner. The tall waitress was hilarious and very welcoming. We were in the tipi in the garden both occasions. It was perfect as the restaurant was very stuffy! The food was great both times, my mother has stayed multiple times in the accommodation and just had a night in one of the pods with her friends

A belated thank you for a great meal and service to celebrate my husband’s birthday last week. Everything was perfect, and the extra touches were much appreciated, including the candle and balloons!

We have eaten at The Stables many times now and have always enjoyed fantastic food and service. The menu is always varied, food very tasty, it’s extremely child friendly and the staff are lovely. Our reservation had to be changed from Saturday to Sunday due to illness which they were happy to do and they still decorated the table and my cake to celebrate my birthday! Looking forward to our next visit 😊

We wanted somewhere nice to eat for our friends birthday but needed a dog friendly venue. The stables have set up this amazing teepee on the lawn to provide extra seating and dogs are allowed in there. There was a large group in there when we arrived but they left shortly after so we had it to ourselves. The service was excellent and the food was very good.

Amazing food and even better staff! Couldn’t recommend more, if you visit the midlands this is a must!! The ice cream is out of this world, locally produced and absolutely divine. Cherish the time at this wonderful restaurant.

Wonderful place to eat breakfast after an overnight stay, or visit for dinner! Always feel absolutely at home when I visit the stables, the service and atmosphere is amazing!

We've just enjoyed our second visit of the summer. The food is good, freshly cooked and our party were all served together. I was surprised that the specials board hadn't changed but there is enough choice. Our only grumble on this visit was that a large car was parked across three parking spaces leaving just one disabled slot that we managed to park our small car in otherwise it would have been quite a walk for my husband. Other than that we have had two positive experiences here.

We had sunday lunch and as usual was great as were the staff.nothing is too much trouble,really enjoyed. We will certainly return next year when on holiday at the grange and im sure we can look forward to the excellent food and service once again.

Absolutely lovely experience, the food was great (even my wife as a gluten free vegetarian) could eat here and thoroughly enjoyed a tasty dish. We ended up for a Sunday lunch, with 2 families. We were accommodated despite not having a reservation, and well looked after. Even managed to get some vegetarian options that were not on the Sunday menu. The food quality was great, quantities reasonably well and service was excellent. Won't hesitate to go back again

Decided to visit this place again after a nice visit last summer. Didn't disappoint. Lovely venue with space for our kids to play. They absolutely love the fishing lakes and the very friendly dogs. The food is really tasty and the staff are very polite. Would love to have this place on our doorstep.

We visited the stables whilst on holiday. There was 6 of us whoch included 2 children. The restaurant was clean and tidy with lots of choice to sit inside or outside. There was a wide choice of food to choose from on the menu so...

We had a lovely lunch here, sitting outside on the patio. Very good food and service and the warmth of the sun helped with the atmosphere which was relaxed with a nice view of the teepee. Plus there were Chickens wandering around not to mention the Border Collie.

After going to the Stables for years, I am sad to say, after our experience Saturday 19 August 2023 we will never return. It wasn't even so much as that the food was such poor quality, it was how we were treated by one staff...

Had a lovely meal here whilst visiting family locally.

Super cute spot in Mablethorpe - the atmosphere was great (singer in the outdoor area, decor inside and outside is pretty) the service was quick and friendly. The food was so good (I had the coconut curry and the raspberry pavlova, also the sticky toffee pudding was amazing and the hand cut chips equally as good, the others I was with chose and liked the fish and chips). Sorry there is no photo evidence but the food is presented aesthetically and in an appetising way. Also New Jeans were playing in the background which is a great add-on to the atmosphere. To speak quite frankly, there is not many places to eat in this area because it is so small, so I appreciate that this restaurant can provide a vibe and good food even in such an isolated place.
