Saw this pub served Sunday lunch so popped in while passing. A small unassuming place, very cosy and welcoming. I had the pork loin and hubby had the beef which melted in the mouth. Loads of veg, roasties, mash and yorkies...yum. I had a Creme Brulee which came to the table flaming and with the instruction 'don't blow it out, wait till it dies down and warm your hands as you wait'. A couple of minutes later the crunchy topping was perfect. Lovely engaging host. Will certainly try one of their themed food nights.

We had a lovely meal enjoying a delicious slow roasted lamb as a Sunday roast. It had a generous portion of everything and we left having eaten happily. Dessert was delicious and a really generous serving as well. We were warmly welcomed after a late booking with them, served kindly and attentively. The Queen's Head is small on the inside making it a cosy and friendly pub with a warm atmosphere.

Went for the curry night. Thai curry not spicy as stated. Sauce had virtually no flavor and a strange texture. Tikka curry tasting nothing like a Tikka curry. Chef obviously has no idea how to cook authentic curries.

Wow really wished we didn't bother. I would not of paid £5.95 for it! Let alone £11.95. One roast potato ! Overcooked broccoli that looked like it was from frozen, peas like bullets, unpeeled carrots and over cooked, burnt Yorkshire pudding, the chicken breast could fit on a dessert spoon, and absolutely no urgency or concern when I expressed my disappointment to the waitress who said she would check that we had the right size. When the manager finally came over to collect the plates, he asked if everything was OK, again I said no and explained again! He said said oh the waitress did say! (Then why not come over earlier) I was told that's the price around here (the price wasn't the problem it was the quantity and quality) when I explained that we had one roast potato each, I was made to feel like I was lying ! And rather than try to resolve, he just shrugged and walked away. The saving grace was the teaspoon of cauliflower cheese! So we skipped dessert and left (yes we did pay, but before our meal came out) It's a shame as we often go out in large groups several times a month when we find somewhere decent and its in a lovely location. However, no location outweighs the lack of quality and service dished up with a large lump of pompous attitude. For anyone that is going here I hope that was just a bad day for them. But we won't be back.

It was long before Covid when we last visited. We loved it then and it's still good now. Very friendly staff, quick service and a good selection of food and drinks, despite only opening at weekends (for now!)... We had a vegetarian in our group but we phoned up and they were more than happy to accommodate her with something they don't usually serve in the evenings. Everybody enjoyed their food, which was reasonably priced, as was the drinks. Will definitely be back, and hopefully it'll be possible for them to open up full time again in the future. 😁 Side note - they had a (presumably) new lad starting when we came in. He did really well. Hope he's there again next time... 😉

Lovely pub, we visited Saturday evening and also for lunch as we were staying a short distance away. Food really nice reasonably priced and served with a smile on both occasions. Bar staff really friendly especially one guy we chatted to. Gardens outstanding, there is a beer garden and also another area for glamping only which looked amazing with beautiful tents and well maintained gardens, even had two dovecotes. Would definitely recommend.

Never in 76 years have I been served a meal like it, the chips looked like they had been soaked in bleach, and tasted as bad as they looked, and my lamb and rosemary pie was totally inedible. Was well worth moving inland from the rowdy pubs that frequent the trailer parks around Skegness and Chapel Saint Leonards. The Queens Head offers a welcome calm and space that is absent nearer the coast. The staff were attentive and friendly and the variety on offer was wide. We, my wife and I, both chose the sirloin of beef. We both found the beef a little bit underwhelming, resembling more a thick slice of roast beef and certainly not medium as requested. However, it was still enjoyable and everything else was excellent including the flaming creme Bruce which my wife loved.

I liked the decorating, 2 fresh roses on the table and it had a homely atmosphere. The staff were friendly. My son had the roast and I had vegetarian nut roast. Both meals well presented and the first thing we both said was it was actually hot, very rare from our experiences. My son said his meal was lovely and I couldn't stop talking about the cheese nut roast which was the best I had tasted over all my years of being vegetarian. Staff asked if everything was ok and did we want extra gravy, we both said it was perfect. The price with drinks was usual for Sunday lunch. A little gem of a country pub. I will be back.
