The Spot in Croydon

I went to try these tacos afyer seeing a glowing review on Tik Tok. To be honest I thought it was ok at best. I ordered the Cajun chicken tacos with Garilc and Parmesan fries. On sight when I opened the box I was underwelmed. There was very little chicken in the taco and costing £5.75 for one taco I would expect it to be full. The chicken is shredded into tiny pieces and I could just about see the guacamole at the bottom. The Garlic Parmesan fries were very small and limp in places and although I could taste Parmesan I also expected to see some Parmesan on the fries. All in all it all tasted ok but definitely not worth the price.

The website says they are open on Wednesdays but when I arrived they had closed because ‘we didn’t have customers’. Two people at the desk who told me that, I’m sure the owner wouldn’t be impressed on a busy night. They closed at 6pm. Poor.

I've eaten the same meal at the spot the two times I've been there (halloumi taco & black bean & tofu taco). I've been ill after eating there both times, my most recent visit was very severe and I experienced food poisoning causing me to throw up. Please review how you Prep and store your ingredients.

Me and my girlfriend ordered from here just over a week ago. We were happily surprised at how good EVERYTHING was. We ordered the bang bang shrimp and smoke garlic halloumi tacos and shrimp sliders which come with fries. The portion was more than decent, we were actually surprised by how much it was. It was quite messy and sloppy but the taste…. Banging! It all had so much flavour. Would definitely order from here again.
