Went for the mixology experience with Fin as hour host. Drinks were great, Fin was a great mixer who kept things simple yet fun. Drinks tasted amazing as well as the food they brought out in between our drinks. 10/10 would recommend and would come back again :)

Cocktail masterclass with Fin was fab! Would highly recommend. Fin made us feel very welcome and comfortable, explained the cocktails and answered all our questions. Cocktails were really great quality and definitely worth a visit!

We were the only folk there so not sure why we waited 45 minutes…but when it came the food was delicious and they went the extra mile by preparing a birthday treat for me. If you go leave enough time as it takes a while but worth the wait. Lovely waitress and nice extra touches.

Absolutely amazing experience the food was 100% also the amazing service our servers were Ben and Rhiann who were fabulous at looking after our table would highly recommend

I never had any food that’s why I put a 2 star but I feel it would be good as they are on aberdeen restaurant week?. We are doing cocktail making it’s the mixology one was very good!! I would maybe take hand sanitiser with you though as your hands may get a bit sticky ahah.

Friendly greeting at the door, table service and great food. Brilliant atmosphere, staff have a laugh with you. Excellent example of good hospitality.

Myself as a freak into excellent service, delicious food, modern decor, great ambience, beautiful, tasty cocktails and elegant wine glasses I choose Spiritualist because I thought this venue would meet all my expectations. I wasn't wrong. This bar stand above and beyond to make sure my event Farewell for 52 people would run smoothly. I would like thank the Head Chef Jamie for being so helpful, empathetic and creative. Jamie along with GM of this venue came on theirs day off to control my event which I'm very grateful. All my friends and family were impressed how the place was prepared and organised so they feel comfortable and enjoy the night. They never thought that kind of event this place can organise. We have had a buffet style dinner and everyone enjoyed. Highly recommend Spiritualist for any event such as birthdays, family events, graduations etc.

We booked in for a mixology class for a pre wedding celebration, it was a great experience! Great price, delicious cocktails and perfect atmosphere, our Mixologist Ryan was fantastic and all the staff were lovely. Would definitely go back again.

lovely cocktail bar in a good location, service and standard of cocktails were very good! Only downside for us was the machine to make the smoke bubble was broken & some stock missing for the cocktails we requested! Apart from that a good experience 👌

Cocktails and service was nice but food was a bit of a let down. We ordered 6 small plates and was barely enough for 2 of us. Food quite bland and not very exciting. Asked for more pita bread for the hummus but was told I'd need to order the dish again to get more bread so the kitchen can track the stock... Lol. Rather disappointing. Service was nice tho!

We were a group of 34 who reserved the back area for a hen night. It was the absolute best time. Perfect place to celebrate. Borislav organised everthing we were looking for and couldn't be more helpful when we were planning it as well as on the night - buffet food and cocktail trees were amazing, as was grazing platters. Couldn't have asked for better. Many thanks to all who were working that night (15 Jun), it was very much appreciated.

Service is a little slow but there is really nothing to complain about in this place. Very pleasant few drinks.

Was in Friday night with some friends. Our waitress Riann was amazing, she was busy as the bar was packed but still made time for us and was very friendly and attentive. Cocktails were also very tasty! Will be back

The food plates are very small and the food isn't the best, all quite bland flavours. It was so loud that we literally had sore throats from shouting at each other over the table. The food took forever to arrive and didn't come all together so we were waiting 5-10 mins for rest of the dishes to come out. The salt and pepper chicken was absolutely delicious but sadly only got 4 small bits on a plate.

Absolutely fantastic experience for my friends Hen Do consisting of over 20 people. The staff were so helpful in the run up to the event, and incredibly attentive during the event as well and really went above and beyond. Would highly recommend here for an event of any size.

THE best in Aberdeen. Always fabulously tasty, good sized portions and high quality ingredients. Particularly recommend the lamb, which is always tender and delicious, never stringy, and the shanks which is crisp, so flavorful and the perfect starter.

I want to start this off by saying the drinks and food themselves are lovely, however this is where the good times stopped! My friend booked for a medium size party of us for nibbles and drinks to celebrate a birthday, thinking it would be a special evening. We were so wrong! We were dealt with by a young-ish girl with dark hair, who never introduced herself (rude), but we picked up that her name was something like “Flo” or “Florence” (as used by her colleagues on the evening). We waited an unruly time for our orders, and when ordering/asking questions this young girl responded with snappy remarks and one word answers, followed by eye rolling. I did not expect to attend a special celebration to be spoken down to and made to feel threatened by a teenager/young adult!! My poor friend who was celebrating her milestone birthday was left feeling as though she was treading on eggshells! We felt ignored and due to her approach with us, as if we could not ask for anything or even go up to the bar. As someone who has worked in Aberdeen’s hospitality sector all her life, I will be passing this experience on to my past and present colleagues, and will not be stepping foot in this establishment again, despite The Spiritualist being my favourite haunt for years, which is a real shame for myself, my husband and our friends.
