The Spa Hotel, in Fylde

Good food from a well-planned menu which changes from time to time. Ingredients are of very high quality and the preparation and presentation are to a high standard.

The food here is always top notch. We love the spa and lunch, and prefer it to the afternoon tea as the food option. This is because the lunch is always such a delightfully delicious treat. Today I had battered broccoli with whipped tofu which sounded interesting. It was such a taste sensation and I hope the photo does it justice. My main was a crusted piece of salmon with pasta which was also lovely.

Had the pleasure of dining at The Orangery yesterday - from arrival to leaving everything was perfection. The dining room is beautiful, light and airy with quality furniture and comfortable seating. Service was impeccable - every member of Staff was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. The food was beautifully presented and flavours were amazing. Pulling all this together with absolute aplomb was Les (Maitre D / Sommelier) who ensured all guests were happy and everything ran like clockwork. We had a wonderful evening. Thank you .

We stayed the night so had an allocated £35 each towards our evening meal here. Sat down to read the menu and was immediately disappointed. ONE vegetarian option for the main meal.. it just feels like I'm being forced to order whatever they've decided to offer as vegetarian whether I like it or not! And the vegetarian starters were some weird, sweet honey things that didn't seem appetising. I asked the waiter if that was the only option and she did then offer the vegan menu. Three different choices for starters, main and dessert. Why aren't these choices just on the regular menu?! So I had three falafels with a spread of hummus, and my husband had literally just one ladle of tomato soup (no bread,butter,cream, croutons) both of these were £8?! Main was a tempura battered broccoli and tofu bao bun thing which was okay. My husband ordered the vegan burger, to which the waiter responded "If you've ever had a McPlant then this is ten times better"... I don't want our expected food in a fancy restaurant to be compared to McDonalds!! But he was right, maybe a thicker burger and chunky chips but otherwise the same... The mains were £24 each so again overpriced for what they were. I can however recommend the rum and raisin rice pudding on the vegan menu, that was the only best bit really. Highly disappointed and ruined our anniversary break

Very good food, each course was delicious. We had a two course meal as part of a day spa, good choice and good service. Would recommend

My husband and I went for afternoon tea as a birthday treat from my son. Very disappointing indeed, the sandwiches were tasteless, and made from very cheap products especially the wafer thin processed chicken/turkey, something not expected at Ribby Hall. There was also no lettuce or tomato on any of the sandwiches, extremely bland and resembled a child’s lunch box sandwich. The scones were hard and brittle and we had to share a pot of clotted cream ( we did not eat the scones) the brownie was tasty but the lemon cake in pastry was soggy. Nobody came over to ask if everything was ok and the only contact we had with staff was when we asked for the bill. Very over priced for very poor quality food - we would not return

Taken out for a surprise lunch by my daughter. Food and service was excellent. Andrew Hotel Manager was so welcoming and advised on a great wine. Lunch and quality of food was excellent. Staff very efficient. Would definitely recommend. Can't wait to return.

The best meal I ever had. The food was absolutely wonderful, beautifully presented and crafted with great care. The staff, especially our waiter Les were very attentive and especially caring of my intolerance which was brilliant as someone who usually struggles to find a range of suitable options at restaurants. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough.

The service and attentiveness is spot on. Wonderful staff. The food is fabulous and beautifully cooked. The portions are small but they are perfectly formed. There are plenty of sides to choose from.

My friend and I stayed two nights for a spa experience, eating dinner both nights in the Orangery. The service was exceptional, knowledgeable friendly and discreet staff looked after us wonderfully. Though the menu is quite limited, the choices are varied and the food is executed perfectly. The wine and drinks choice is great too.

Unfortunately my main course was unacceptable and like a student budget meal. I am a vegan and they made this for me especially. Why go to the trouble of having a vegan main option on the menu and no vegan starter? It was basic spaghetti pasta, with hardly any sauce, zero taste e.g. no garlic or chilli. I had 2 bites and couldn’t eat anymore so went hungry. The other dishes were lovely but this was unacceptable quite frankly for a double AA rosette restaurant (for any restaurant really).

Great but no where near enough food and I am only small (size 8). Aside from that great service, v friendly, cozy atmosphere, choice of wines, all good. Breakfast was great - plenty of food and could ask for more if wanted.

We cannot find any fault whatsoever with this lovely restaurant. Service was 10/10, especially from somellier, Les. Food was beautiful. Wine was great. Surroundings were lovely. Our first visit but certainly will not be our last. Utterly fabulous. X

Afternoon tea for a friends 40th birthday, food was wonderful no complaints whatsoever we all enjoyed it very much. service very disappointing as mentioned by others, non attentive, no offer of more drinks, very long waits for more drinks once finally ordered, this definitely needs addressing. no one came to take payment or tell us to head to the till after asking for our bill, i would 100% return for the food but not the service.

Starters were very good prawn cocktail and pate we both had steak frites decent steak pepper sauce cold had to reheat fries lukewarm nothing else with it for 18 pounds very poor value, sweets nice but overpriced, service excellent, won't return very overpriced.

Took a friend for afternoon tea. I had been previously and had an enjoyable experience. Sadly on this occasion the experience was very poor value for money. Tasteless sandwiches and extremely dry scones. The cake selection was ok but very tiny.The pea croquettes and cheese savoury items were probably the best part. The staff possibly need some extra training as they didn't return to the table to offer further drinks and had to be stopped as they passed. It's rather disappointing to have to write this as the location is great for me however this is a very popular market and there are a lot of places to choose from in the surrounding area.

Lunch after a wonderful aqua thermal journey at the spa including a mud easily. Warm welcome from Mark and all staff friendly and attentive. Superb food. Will be back.

Visited the spa for the day, the Aqua Thermal journey and treatments were fabulous. Shockingly disappointing was the afternoon tea in the Orangery. The food was awful, sandwich fillings poor and tasteless especially the cheap thin turkey. We were given no options of fillings and all on white tasteless bread. The pea and potato croquette was ok but the mango and cheese filo bite nearly burnt the roof of our mouths it was so hot. The scones were dry, one small pot of cream on the plate to share between 2 and no option of butter and the small cakes were equally poor, a raw soggy brownie a tiny cube of lemon cake (that was the tastiest thing on the plate) and the others we left as looked so unappetising. Had to ask for more tea as no staff being attentive. Used to love the orangery but won’t be returning anytime soon and certainly not for the afternoon tea.

lovely up market restaurant, we were here for afternoon tea which was splendid, very nice selection of sandwiches cakes hot pastries juice and tea, only thing missing was a miniature bowl of soup, I do rate my afternoon teas on whether you get a soup or not so it would have rated as perfect if it included a soup, bonus beautiful setting and grounds and you can get to see the spa which is incredible and will make you want to book an experience in the spa which we did book

We had dinner and breakfast and the service and food were excellent. There was a nice choice including for vegans. We had chicken breast, steak, smoked haddock and broccoli tempura followed by chocolate fondant with marmalade ice cream. Everything was delicious.
