The Ship Inn in Thurrock

I recently visited The Ship Inn Restaurant in Purfleet and was thoroughly impressed! This charming spot exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere is quaint and comfortable, perfect for families and friends. There are no pushy waiters, allowing you to enjoy your meal at your own pace. The facilities are impressively efficient and hygienic. The restaurant welcomes kids and even has a friendly dog at the entrance! You can also catch live sports, making it the best sports bar in Purfleet. They even have a last call bell!!!!!🔥🔥🔥 Enjoy the outdoor patio on sunny days and affordable beer at £4 per pint. The food is fantastic, with vegetarian options available. The waitresses are super-efficient and friendly.

Nice pub,food on offer is made by staff who don't seem to understand little portions. The food is well worth a pint or two.

Typical ”builders pub” only went as I happened to be on a training course in the area and wanted to catch the football match.

Supposed to close at 12 on Friday but it was close earlier .. I was there at 11:30 and it was shut

The experience in this place was so lovely, everyone is friendly especially boo behind the bar and the food was good and the atmosphere was welcoming :)

There is a free car park, food is good and very cheap. We paid £35 for 4 plates, and 3 drinks. The waitresses are always helpful and polite, however, they always forget one thing about the order 😅😋. So, we use to eat once in a while. You should too.

Nice independent boozer. Shame that there was no real ale on draught. That said, £5 for a large glass of wine and £4.30 for a Guinness wasn’t bad at all. 😊

Atmospher and drinks are great. So it the service. All of my friends and I got food poisoning from the food.

Clean and comfortable. Staff is great and the atmosphere is friendly. There is a limited selection of drinks but "it'll do" for a meeting with friends. Also... Parking is limited. As pubs go, this is bang on EXACTLY what you'd expect!

Nice little pub, friendly staff, huge beer garden, pool table, sports and delicious food. Oh, there's free parking too. Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is there should be, or I'd like there to be big comfy sofas/chairs.

Clean pub, friendly welcome from bar staff. Had chicken curry, rice & fries for £8, big plateful, well cooked, tasty & hot! Real ale was a good pint & at £3.35 was a decent price. Would recommend & return.

Last went there in 2007 and must say that it's still as good now as then.... Food selection a bit more streamlined than before but reasonable given where it is.

I'm a new user of this pub but despite a tired interior l wouldn't want it changing. Beer is of excellent quality and price. Food is first class. Exactly how pub grub should be. I felt awkward at first but l have had acknowledging nods from locals the last time I went in. Give it a try.
