Had 2 fish suppers batter nice crispy fish not overcooked chips nice 1st time here defo be back

Fish was eaten when I opened it up chips were eaten aswell don't go to this place

Typical chip shop supplemented with pizza, kebabs and pakoras. Nothing stand out though staff very friendly and helpful. Busy at weekends, serves late food.

Just received a just eat from these guys. Will be ordering again.

Been in twice and chips were brilliant first time black pudding was amazing would highly recommend nice staff aswell

Food was lovely although forgot to put cheese on my order, the guy did chase after me to let me know and gave me tubs of cheese which was really nice of him thank you that, the reason for the stars was I wanted to pay by card but said the card machine was down so lifted money out and paid by cash. Got my change went home everything fine. Me being me didn’t check my change till the next morning it was like 3 pounds change but got 2 euros back instead of pounds. Which I thought was really rude Considering we ordered quite a lot of food from them. We are going away in august so this will go towards spending money but it’s not the point. Customers watch your change if paying with cash

Waited a minute to be served as staff had conversation. Then told to wait for chips. Poor quality and quantity.

Ordered food on just eat at 10:05pm was still waiting for it at 11:10 pm got a notification saying enjoy ur food I’ve not even had it delivered

Always go here for our chippy. The guy serving is always polite, friendly and attentive. They work hard in here and the food always good. Before here I used to go to enzos and the fish was always dry. Where as here it's spot on 👍

We went into Sherwood as my daughter had won a prize of 2 fish suppers at the Mary Russell School fete at Christmas. The food was freshly prepared and was presented nicely. I would highly recommend a visit here and we will certainly be back.

Listen, you'll wait a while for the food but that's because it is freshly prepared. Well worth any wait as its the best tasting chippy anywhere.

£3.30 for a very small (burger sized) box of chips. That was annoying enough, but they were stone cold! Not impressed at all.

Decent chippy, great fritters, can be very busy at the weekend though and parking aint great as its on a very busy road.

Disgrace of a place 2nd time ordering from there and yet again after over an hour of waiting and them saying order is on the way it gets cancelled. Disgrace of a company.

First time trying and have been throwing up all evening after eating the fish and chips. Will not be back.

I have ordered from here on many occasions and always enjoyed the food. Also delivery times have never been an issue for me, even at the weekend.

Waited over 2 hours for a delivery absolute joke

Ordered 2 pizzas from them at 11.20pm and was due for delivery at my hotel at midnight. They did not show up and they took my money. Now I’m £15 out of pocket and no food, and both my son and I had just got back from the hydro, and needed food, so I ordered pizzas for us both. Now we’ll go hungry until tomorrow morning. Would not trust them at all. Absolutely disgusting. Anyone who gives 5 star reviews for this place must obviously be fake or/and work for them. Stay away from this appalling takeaway. If I could give zero stars, I would. This place needs shutting down. Rip off merchants they are. So if you don’t want to be robbed, DO NOT USE THEM! 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 I want a full refund for my undelivered food and also compensation for this. How anyone can rate this place anything over 1 star I don’t know, unless the reviews are fake (which wouldn’t surprise me). Next time I’m in glasgow, and want a takeaway, I will NOT go anywhere near this absolute appalling place. DO NOT USE, DO NOT BELIEVE THE GOOD REVIEWS. Listen to the one star reviews and you won’t go wrong. *Edit - I am now back home in Brighton and they still have NOT even responded to my message via their website on Sunday nite or yesterday.*

Disappointed! Everything was really really greasy and soggy. Actually in the bin it went have had food before and was much better.

Awright chippy does nice chips as well as lots of other types of food drink and snacks

Best fish ever great chippy and friendly staff

Asked "Fred" the fryer to put 2 fish 🐠 in to make the supper with chips 🍟 served separately. This is a good portion of fish & chips. my freind and I halfed the fish supper and both of half's were just right. Lovely fish (no wee scraggy rat like bits in batter lol) just nice white meat. Would leave a 0 star if possible. But ordered at 10:30pm fell asleep at midnight and the food arrived at 2:05am! Chips disgusting sausage disgusting gravy not even edible

Driver gave away food without requesting a name. Allowed food to be stolen. No offer or concern for refund.

We live in the Nitshill area and we always use New Sherwood as all local chippies are not good and here is quality.

Reason for the 2 stars is that, yet again, part of order placed online was missing when delivered and I was unable to contact you as the phone was either engaged or not answered. This time it was a Donner Kebab meal with extra BBQ chicken and Bacon which was not included. I am tired of paying for orders not completed. This marks the 3rd time issues with online orders. Sorry to say that will not be using again.

Food was very greasy and staff seemed more interested in messing around than who was in the shop , chicken nuggets not very tasty.

I'm a resident of 'seedhell' but food wise I have no problems with choice,as for a chippy the Sherwood staff,food,service and last but not least pizzas are top of the tree,people moan about the prices but quality is worth that bit extra,Andy and the staff well done only chippy you should order food from

Had a few meals from Sherwood recently and they've been absolutely spot on.

Food was delicious, I was a walk up and had to wait outside for 20 minutes, due to the covid protocols. Perhaps Friday night at T time was poor planning, some of the customers that had booked were a bit irate at the wait but the shop was very busy. Delicious food but go when it's quiet.

We ordered £23.35 worth of food my partner enjoyed his. I however got a £5.75 box of chips instead of the small special fish supper we ordered online. Which were lukewarm & spent about 30-40 mins trying to get through to them. 1st time I tried this place through recommendations, but never again will I use it, so dissatisfied, chips are going in the bin I'm so fuming. Ruined my night

Awesome Haggis Supper from a friendly establishment. In Paisley doing training just popped in on the off chance it would be good. Boy was I surprised.! Place is clean , staff are friendly would definitely go there again.

Fish suppers full of bones in my case 👎.. Others had various different things & they were best at average . I marked them with a 1 star because of the staff not wearing any masks & allowing a group of people gather in the shop whilst I was in there , plus they weren't the most hygienic ! 👎

Disgrace of a chip shop. Waited over half an hour while my husband and 3 year old sat in car freezing waiting. Staff running around doing deliveries, people getting served before others that are waiting first. Half an hour wait for fast food is a joke. Young lassies with massive ponytails in practically dangling in your food., watched her 3 times run her hand through her ponytail and never washed before touching food/orders. If they have to keep you waiting that long there should be more staff, never again

Do not sign up to order food!, the food is fine but you cannot stop the really annoying texts without paying!, they use the costly 'to unsubscribe text STOP to 88440' method and comes up 'SHERWOOD' on the phone so you cannot block the number.

A little expensive - I take it that your paying for all the cardboard everything is served in. Food however is very good. Crisp clean batter. Chips don't taste of dirty oil. Nice golden colour nice and fluffy inside.

Absolutely disgraceful service from the restaurant. Called me up and started shouting at me over the phone for not complaining directly to them! There was a hair embedded in the pizza but surprise surprise ‘there’s no one working here that has black hair’ I was told. Avoid this place at all costs, the food and staff are disgusting

Poor food Felt I was reliving Gordon Ramsay kitchen nightmares and was Gordon Ramsay trying food for the first time. Was never haddock in your life . Tasted like whiting Delivery time 90 mins Don’t order glass bottles online they just give you a can and charge you for a glass bottle Driver friendly too good for this place Go to a new place mate as this place as this won’t get many delivery’s serving muck like that Won’t be back

Brilliant chippy. Have ordered from here a few times now. Food has always been fresh and delicious and portions are not shy! Had delivery today instead of take away due to obvious reasons. It arrived early and was as fresh and tasty as before. Highly recommend and will definitely be back.

the chips are perfect here thick floury and soft, the fish when freshly cooked is a delight the portions are generous and the prices reasonable. Food inevitably isnt as nice if it's sat in the hot tray but that's true of every chippy. I wouldnt go anywhere else in Paisley

Not that it was ever THAT bad but since the original owner / fryer took the shop back it's been top notch. Definitely see a rise in quality, especially in the pizzas

Although the Delivery time and food was great, I recieved the wrong order. I ordered a Coke, Large chips and Role and Fritters. Instead, I got Coke, Large Chips and Role and Chips.

ordered at 9:11pm due delivery at 10:15pm shop phoned me to say to me be about another 20 mins due do problem with driver 11pm came. no food so phoned up shop and guy in shop very nice and said sorry about order and sent out fresh order for me and offered half price on meals as I am a regular customer with them and still happy to use their service which I have done tonight or staff fault friendly staff and helpful

food was horrible sausages were dripping in grease and all soggy fish was so soggy it all fell apart won't be using this place anymore and we always use the Sherwood never again £21 worth went in the bin

Staff are not helpful they are always talking to each other and ignore the most important person #TheCustomer fish had lots of bones it was cold and the chips were disscusting 👎👎👎👎also full of grease 🙈☹️
