The food was very good. I would recommend this place

Popped in for a last minute lunch,food was absolutely delicious, had a salmon dish that was one of the best I've ever had, hubby had gammon, which he judged brilliant. They have a really good selection of alcohol free drinks,lady that served us was lovely, and they're dog friendly, so couldn't fault anything, a bit of a find.Will return.

We visited for the burger deal at £15 (every Wednesday) which includes a pint of beer and fries. My partner said her veggie Moving Mountains burger was Excellent and she is very fussy about her veggie burgers! My Shed Burger was a bit disappointing in terms of taste.. It didn't look anything like the promotional pic on Facebook, not as much luxury filling or sauce sadly!!! It was not as good as the El Chapo burger I had here in the Summer of 2023 - which was outstanding. The deal makes the food reasonable value for money Service could've been a bit more attentive!!! Acoustics are a real problem here with noise from people chatting bouncing off the walls to create even more noise - how about curtains to dampen the noise??

Stopped going as the menu had changed and the steak pie was taken off. Used to enjoy going so we tried again. Table by the doors was freezing. I asked for blankets but they had none. One lady accidentally knocked a drink over, we went to fetch blue roll and we cleaned it up ourselves including the floor as no staff offered to help. I had pre ordered a steak pie the week before and the chef had agreed to do it but when we arrived he said he hadn’t had time. I ordered a plain chicken burger and asked for hp brown sauce,which they didn’t have, so I asked if I could have some beans, I was told no as they only open the can at a weekend. I then asked for mushy peas and was told the same. So then I said well what about a jug of gravy?? She said yes that shouldn’t be a problem but then returned saying the chef won’t make the gravy. We moved tables in the end as we were too cold, so when the food came my burger was covered in sweet chilli sauce. I did say I would have a spicy burger but that shouldn’t be seasoning and not sauce, I did order it completely plain. At 9-45pm I ordered a bottle of wine and they never let on that they were ringing last orders straight after and closing up. We had to stand outside which was rather rude. Used to be a fantastic venue but we weren’t happy last night. Need to sort a better menu for the future. To add to your reply. Sometimes it is about accommodating the customer?? If you could not have produced the steak pie as you said then we could have gone somewhere else. This was asked of me, but I said no as you were providing it special so I would have felt bad as all five of us would have enjoyed it. Really you should have contacted myself. I removed the dirty chair myself and got a clean one, the chap just took the dirty one away. However, the team should have been right over to say we will clean the mess asap. I can’t possibly drink a bottle of wine in 30 minutes so I should have been told, as I assumed you open until 11pm so apologies. I asked for plain chicken, no sauce, I should have been told that the spicy chicken was just a sweet chilli dip, not seasoning. I did inform this when I received it but she didn’t offer to change it, I had to scrape it off and eat around. However, the actual food is still nice. If it is so cold to sit and eat by the windows then maybe we should be made aware. I appreciate your response and will take a look at the new menu. I’m not here to tarnish your business as I have always highly recommended it as it’s quirky and usually perfect.

Great atmosphere. Food is great, a couple of pound more than a chain pub, but well worth it. Live entertainment on Saturday nights along with friendly hard working staff means it gets my 5 stars

We were supposed to eat there on Sunday only to find that they allowed dogs in which normally not a problem, but for the size of the place when it's packed and one is yapping it's head off we decided to go elsewhere.

2nd time here with my parents. It's a cute place for great food and new weird beer. From table in the corner 2 burgers and fish

Nice place to have a nice coffee without the hassle of going into town. Friendly staff. Clean , with interesting decor.

The Shed never disappoints. It's the best local pub around. Just when I thought you couldn't get better than their burger and perfect chips, their Xmas menu comes out. The lamb shank instantly melted in my mouth and is definitely worth the price!

Brilliant bar right on Maybank marsh. Some very nice lagers and ipas and gins etc, not to mention the tasty food. We booked a table on a Saturday night, and the four of us very much enjoyed the night.

Came for breakfast this morning, only ourselves in here along with one other table. 2 bar staff stood behind the bar, no acknowledgement on arrival, no menus and we were completely ignored whilst they stood gossiping. We went to the bar to try and order some food and some drinks. Food arrived and was put on the table with not a word uttered, after a few minutes we asked for some cutlery and queried some missing items on the breakfasts to be met with eye rolls and attitude. It’s abundantly clear that the staff have no interest in working and the “customer service” was pretty disgusting. Shame as when we have been previously the staff were so friendly and welcoming, the food was quite nice but due to the service alone we won’t be returning.

Booked a table for 17:30 and told there's no food available until 18:00 because the chef hasn't had a break all day. Sorry but this isn't my problem take it up with your bosses. The menus over the bar, the specials board... it's all designed for food orders. If you can't serve food DO NOT take the table booking.

First time at this lovely relaxing venue . Lovely Father's Day treat ...😋 The food was exceptional. A few of us had shin of beef , and it was cooked to perfection it just fell off the bone . The staff were so very helpful ( couldn't do enough to help out . ) Not a complaint of any of us. WE WILL BE GOING BACK AGAIN. Well, I've been back a few times now, the lastest on Saturday, 17 /2/24 . Had a food, Shed Burger. Well worth the wait and soo delicious. Nothing changed still as good as the first time I went .

Just got back from The Shed and felt compelled to write a review. This was a meal for 14 booked for my sons 10th birthday . All the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us right from initial contact. Promptly answering questions and dealing with specific requests. The food was out of this world and we are so lucky to have such a fantastic venue so close to home. Can not rate this place high enough and will definitely be back.

Called in whilst staying in the area. Tiny place but absolutely buzzing . Great food and drink, and a fantastic atmosphere just what you need after a weeks work.

Tucked away just off the Marsh the Shed is small a restaurant/bar. Only real downside is there are at least 4 TVs in the bar for sports. Great if that’s what wanted, less so in terms of atmosphere and having a quiet meal. Food is lovely, and nice selection of draught beer and spirits. Free parking close by on the marsh car park.

Nice place, good atmosphere but, booked a table for 20:30 on a Saturday, says last orders on food is 21:00 on the website. Wait for table, sit at table, get told kitchen closes at 20:00 on Saturday 😑 I'm not gonna book a table to just sit and drink, it's not the only way is Essex 😂

Place of relaxation, delicious food and good people. I am from Ukraine, I have been in this country for three months. The owners of this establishment are wonderful people. I enjoyed the conversation and the food. I RECOMMEND.

Came here for breakfast on Saturday,and this place did not disappoint... We were a walk-in table of 5 but we were seated promptly by Martha,we were told there may be a slight wait as they were busy when we arrived to which we had no issues. We ordered with Martha at our table and she couldn't do enough for us and made us feel very welcome,food actually didn't take to long a couple of us had the Nduja Hash and "wow" what a dish the rest had breakfasts which everyone said how good they were also,we never got to meet the chefs,but the food was awesome,we shall be returning without a doubt.

First time when I visited I waited an hour for food to arrive. It was really nice when it turned up. Desided to take my son for lunch on Friday got there for one , should be open at twelve we were told they didn't open until two . Went away came back and then we were informed they don't serve food untill five. Won't be going again

Took my wife, out for lunch from the Big Bites Menu. Ordered tacos and duck as a main and a bowl of fries. Food arrived quickly and was decidedly average . The tacos came with fries and we weren't told. The bowl of fries had so much salt they we couldn't finish them. No check backs and we were charged the wrong tables bill. Average food, tiny portions and poor service

Very very nice surprise at the bend of a small street. Everything was really perfect, from the service, the establishment and especially the cuisine! The burger was excellent, the fries were just as excellent! The desserts were just as delicious! The choice on the menu was sufficient, something to please everyone! In terms of beers on tap, there is also a choice. Congratulations to this restaurant!

A little gem of a place. Fabulous, diverse and quite unique menu, there must be a talented chef behind it. Had breakfast there recently, I recommend the Huevos Rancheros (Tortillas) on the specials. Looking forward to trying the main menu. Fantastic open mic night on a Sunday run by Shaun. Great little venue with a fab atmosphere and friendly staff.

It use to be a quirky cool bar but the last few times I have been it had football results showing resulting in loads of blokes taking up all the seats. Atmosphere flat as a Big Mac. So kinda like a bog standard sports bar now...

Popped in for a Coffee and ended up with a Chicken Wrap as well. Micro Pub with industrial decor, small and friendly, coffee and food we're well served. Next time I'll be back for a pint and see if the place is then worth an extra star!

Lovely little place, outside seating overlooks the Marsh which is nice...

Nice local pub with good, very affordable food. They don't have their own car park, but there are plenty of parking spaces on the street and there's also a free council car park right opposite the pub. The only downside is that the pub is quite small, so it gets really loud when it's busy. Definitely worth a visit though.

Well, this place was certainly a pleasant surprise....in truth, I saw the place and felt a little like it wasn't going to be all that good. I'm glad to say I was very wrong. I can't think of anywhere I've had better food! Great tasting food, great portions, great drinks and good prices. Also a very nice, relaxed atmosphere. Definitely somewhere I'll go again.

Extremely poor service, waitress would rather chat to friends than serve customers. Atmosphere was not what you would expect for an evening meal, very loud, more like a sports bar. Shame really as the food was good, hence the reason why we have given 2 stars and not 0.

Probably won't ever return here. Staff are nice but i wouldn't recommend this for a family. Full of drunks and food poor. Spent £70 and the Greek kebabs were awful. Two pizzas for the kids were nice though. Was expensive for what we got and the place just full of idiots in my opinion. Noticed they don't seem to respond to reviews here either so they obviously aren't bothered

Thr shed is always a great place to visit, very handy for anyone in Wolstanton and Maybank. Food is always great and at a good price. Drinks selection is great. However i quite often experience that they have runout of a fair few things on the menu, so maybe a bit of reorganisation in how they order ingredients would help. Edit 09/04/2022 Still a great place to visit, however with the current rate of inflation the shed had 2 options, up the prices or cut costs, The prices are pretty much identical but portion sizes have been cut by a good amount. Things like brioche buns have been replaced with cheaper alternatives. Still great but not as good!

Superb food and craft beer. Will be coming again.

Went for a meal tonight got there the place was full of drinkers watching football having to fight to get to the table there was no way we could have a meal in there we actually got people watching the screens over the table it was ridiculous we left after 10 minutes

Lovely food, I had chicken and ham one pot pie and my partner had steak and Guinness pie, home made chips, delicious, the chicken and ham fell apart in your mouth, will definitely go again.
