I heard recently the pub gonna reopen on the 29th November or 30th

No disabled access, numerous steep steps, needs re-decorating and refurbishing. Pleasant staff.

Good pub, staff were friendly. Food baskets is a good idea I’ve never seen that before. It was good pub grub too.

Excellent food as always, lovely staff and fab decking area to sit out in the sunshine

Came for a birthday Sunday lunch . Good meal and a good atmosphere was enjoyed. Will visit again soon.

Used to be a great pub - with a real fire, great Sunday lunch and Lancaster Bomber on tap. Now it's gone seriously down-market and is full of loud chavs who shout at each other or fight inside and outside. A real "gift" to the community.

Great local pub, good atmosphere with really good staff. Food is great and have regular changing specials alongside their usual menu. Home made Chips are amazing 🍟👌 Sunday dinners are the best I’ve ever tried. Literally❤️ Family and dog friendly, fun events for kids advertised on a regular basis during holidays and bank holidays. Great place to be!

I went for dinner on 22/7/2020 i had own made pie chips and peas the pie was big and i can honestly say the steak and mushroom pie was full to the top and lovley i even took a photo so people could see, the prices were excellent and affordable my wife had home made lasagne chips and garlic bread and it was also excellent and tasty the food was piping hot we will deffinatley be going again good luck to the new owners and covid rules apply

Top notch homemade food, highly recommend chilli burger and cajun chicken, desserts were spot on too, very friendly and welcoming. Table booked again next week 👍

Come here same time every year to meet friends for a meal. I am a wheelchair user and they are extremely helpful and accommodating. Wonderful hosts and service. Food very good.. Throughly enjoyed it

Called today with the wife for Sunday dinner Friendly and helpful. Good food and most importantly nice and hot, something we have found lacking in some places.

Just been for a roast dinner. Was the worst roast ever, artificial mash, couldn't eat it. Dried up roast potatoes. And few bits of fatty lamb . Carrots and Yorkshire pud were ok. Kids meals were ok. Staff pleasant.

Proper home cooked delicious food, has to be the best lasagne I've eaten anywhere! Can't complain about anything, the people were lovely, nice clean establishment. Definitely 10000% reccommend. Enjoyed every mouthful of my food!

Very disappointing was taken for Mothers Day food not at all the standard it was when we have been before will not be returning

£4.10 pint of larger. Expensive for a local pub. Otherwise ok.

Great food and staff, had a great time.

Went a few weeks ago in a party of six for a birthday meal. The food was standard and i left the chips they were cheap and nasty. Although the steak that others had did not look to bad. My partner needed to charge his phone because his daughter was in hospital and hed been busy working all day and it had little battery. The bar man said there was a charger available but he had his phone charging. The bar man could of perhaps been a bit nicer and charged his phone later. In fact he should have put the customer first and been more polite.Not a good atmosphere no one was impressed with the staff or the tasteless cheap chips.Wont be going again will stick with the Crown at Mow Cop good value for money and fantastic home cooked chips.

Had a nice steak with a rich Stilton sauce. Also had a nice Stout on tap.

Good Food, Very Nice environment. Very Nice People. Thankyou very much. I would suggest that you re-consider your rather out of date policy not to accept contactless payments less than £10. I think you will find more and more people will find this unacceptable.
