The Shack in Mid Suffolk

Not a wide range, mainly burgers but really good food. The service was also good, not too many people in was wondering if this could be more of an evening venue. They offer wine beer as well as hot and cold drinks. We both had burgers mine was the buttermilk chicken which was really tasty. My husband was very happy with his beef burger. We both had them with cajun fries yummy. Price reasonable.

Sadly I’ve Rated this a 3 star purely for the fact our waiter/server was very polite. And the reason I didn’t complain or ask for a refund was I was so disappointed and didn’t want to come across rude to our waiter/server. We ordered a Mac and cheese, BBQ Wings, and a buttermilk chicken burger and I can’t believe how badly the quality of the food was and how it was cooked. The Mac and cheese was watery as in that cheese Sauce was like water! No seasoning what’s so ever. There was no thick cheese sauce present, the pasta was so over cooked it had tripled it size. I had the topping of pulled pork There wasn’t even a crumbled/ grilled top to this Mac and cheese and it was extremely poor quality and very sad to look at. And I only consumed 20 % and our server knew by me barely eating anything I ordered that I wasn’t happy. I wish now I would have took photos to back up my Review! The BBQ Chicken wings was fried and a drizzle of BBQ to cover them, the quality and the presentation was poor and I ate 2 out of the 5. The ButterMilk chicken burger was edible and that’s the only positive thing I can say. The Restaurant was clean, staff was friendly and polite but sadly I will not be returning because of the poor quality of food.

Really excellent burgers and fries. Large portions so full bellies all round. Good quality ingredients. Highly recommend. We hope other people try it so it does well!

Fantastic American style food, smash burgers are some of the best we’ve had, lovely sides and amazing milkshakes, great for families.
