The most amazing seafood ever. Drove from London with my partner to enjoy another fantastic meal. Every bite is full of flavour and will be back soon.

Mother’s Day lunch. Great menu and drinks selection. Staff friendly and attentive - nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent. Great atmosphere. We’ll be back!

We visited at lunch time and were seated by a delightful young woman. Menus were provided and drinks order taken. The venue is called The Seafood Shack. Call me old fashioned, but in my opinion a restaurant called Seafood Shack should have a reasonable selection of seafood. The only fish on the menu is a deep fried fish n chips. There are a dozen or so prawn/squid/mussels variations but an almost nonexistent fish offering. Sorry. Not good enough folks. We had a perfectly acceptable mac n cheese offering and a prawn/smoked salmon salad. Service was good. Prices are a little expensive given the frozen seafood on offer.

Came across this restaurant by chance after visiting the Sea Life centre with my wife, daughter and young grandson. We could not have been made to feel more welcome, with staff bending over backwards to meet the needs of my grandson who is 2.5. Food was excellent despite only having a light lunch

Having seen from afar, with envy, all the seafood boils in London venues, I was excited when I spotted Seafood Boil on the Seafood Shacks Instagram. I booked in and confirmed with staff that we would want the boil, as recommended. I have not seen Seafood Boil on offer anywhere else locally so this is a real selling point. The last time we frequented the Seafood Shack it was quite literally a shack in the Horse and Groom Pub car park in Rochford. The thing I liked about that was the ability to sit in the pub garden (or under shelter) with the pups. Now as an indoor venue, they are not dog friendly, although the do have outdoor tables (February on Southend Seafront, i'll pass!) but we actually had a dog sitter making this visit possible. I was delighted to see Chapeldown, an English Sparkling Wine. We started with some dressed Oysters which were delicious, and then the seafood boil. Great size and full of flavour. It was a little quiet for a Friday evening sadly, so dropped down on atmosphere. However, after Christmas this is understandable, so more than happy to give another go when I next have dog care later in the year.

We had a very tasty and enjoyable lunch here. Clean and tidy place. Service was excellent. No delays on the food delivery to the table. Very accommodating staff. We had the shrimps pil-pil which was amazing. The Crab dip was also really awesome not to forget the Lobster thermistor mains which was also tasty and perfectly done. Would highly recommend this place to anyone. Affordable prices as well. Shrimp pil-pil is not a regular menu item, but the lady said you can call and order in advance because we said that we will not come back unless it is on the main menu 🤣

This place is truly special, from the most attentive, friendly and welcoming staff to the most amazing food, which catered to everyone’s needs! The food choices covered our lovers/ non lovers of fish and also catered to our gluten free and lactose, intolerant needs. I cannot thank Sandy, Wendy and all of the team enough for making my husbands 50th birthday so special.. Nothing was too much trouble….the birthday band chorus just made the night! I would highly recommend this place for a special celebration, a meal for two, a catch up with friends or a spot of lunch after a lovely seafront walk… it’s just perfect! ☺️

We booked last minute and went over for a family lunch prior to our planned aquarium visit. We chose a hot Crab dip from the main menu and a few things from the specials. This included prawns pil pil and lobster thermidor. I recommend all these dishes. We requested the chef to keep the prawns pil pil on the menu permanently. So deliciously tangy and creamy with a spicy kick. We ordered a second serving of bread as well just to dip in the sauce. Everything was flavourful and utterly scrumptious, I would go there again next weekend if I didn't have plans already. Kids menu was great too. My son loved his fish and chips. Great service as well. Went here for valentine's with the missus, food was absolutely delicious. They have a new chef who out did himself, crab and avocado starter was excellent and roasted cod beautiful (says missus). I had the lamb in the richest gravy I have ever had. Top marks guys. Girls out front were also lovely and helped to make the night special. Highly recommend.

This is our favourite place to eat in Southend. The food is amazing and the staff always make us feel welcome. We cannot recommend it enough. Try a Gin Delight. You will not be disappointed

Fabulous meal! We chose the 3 course Christmas menu £35 but as one of us is celiac, one citrus and dairy intolerant they went out of their way to suggest alternatives so we were all catered for. Fresh ingredients and great presentation and plentiful too....
