Quite the best grilled fish I can remember. Brilliant chef. With a great wine and a few friends. Perfect Friday evening, and really competent servers. I look forward to the next time.

Probably the best fish and chips I have had in London. Not greasy, crisp thin batter and fresh flaky succulent fish. It's just that the price of fish has gone up like everything in this country so you are looking at £20 a meal. My only qualm would be (and although I know it's not traditional) is to have the chips with skin on. Nice to sit outside on a summers day too to have your fish and chips lunch.

Fish portion wasn't large, more of a small medium. Food was tasty.

I was blown away by the quality of food, every dish we ordered, was superb, good size fish generous portion of chips. what really impressed me, that you have choice of how your fish is prepared; battered, grilled, gluten free or matzo meal. The service was fast and efficient, our waitress Valeria was polite and accommodating. The atmosphere was pleasant not too loud. We will definitely come again in the near future

We were seated and left completely ignored—no menus, no water, nothing. The waiter who seated us was too busy chatting with a colleague within clear view to even acknowledge us. After waiting with zero service, we walked out. Disappointing and unprofessional experience. Would give 0 stars if given the option.

The restaurant is the typical fish and chips place. They have a fancier saloon next to it, but the prices are higher. Got the large cod and chips to share between two people, and ended up sufficiently full. The workers were really nice and friendly.

Indifferent service - we had to go find our waitress in the kitchen to get more water and later, to get the bill. The food was mediocre - definitely not worth a £20 Uber fare.

Had the whitebait and chips .. Was happy with the whitebait … but unfortunately …. And this has happened before I served with old wrinkly chips .. not good when your paying £10 .

Loved the fish and chips plus mushy peas. £25 may be on the pricey end for cod and chips (eat in, £17 takeaway) however paying for quality and there a pricier fish and chips in London which are not as good.

The food was really tasty – fresh, warm and served super quickly. The waiter was very friendly and attentive, you immediately felt at home. The atmosphere is a real eye-catcher: old-fashioned, but in a cool way. I was particularly impressed by the huge metal octopus in the middle of the shop - it looked really cool and fit the maritime atmosphere perfectly, almost like on a ship. Absolute recommendation!

Taste really good, and staff was nice& friendly

Advertised as the most famous fish & chips in town and being expensive (25£ for the most classic version), the place clearly lacks authenticity. There were only a few customers in the restaurant and all of them were tourists. In addition the fries were quite taste-less, I wouldn't be surprised to be frozen fries. The amount of food served was a lot, and even too much, I would have loved to pay 3 or 5 pounds less for less food.

Generous portions and piping hot - what's not to like? Great value for money too - £11 for cod and chips. One of, if not the best chippy in London. - 2025 update - has this place changed hands? The quality has fallen off a cliff. The fish cakes were inedible, the chips dry and the large cod really not very large. Much better chippies out there.

Regular customer i come here Sundays often for a warm fresh meal and this place never disappoints! Great outdoor space now too. Oliva and Valeria were amazing

Had a very nice meal today. Everything was nice and fresh .Time was taken for my friend who is gluten intolerant and staff were keen to follow her requirements.

One of the best fish and chip experiences I’ve had in years. Perfectly crispy batter, fresh flaky cod, and chips that were golden on the outside and fluffy on the inside — exactly how they should be. But what really stood out was the atmosphere: warm, welcoming, and clearly run by people who care about doing things properly. You can tell when a place takes pride in their food, and this one absolutely does. No fuss, no frills — just great fish and chips, done right. Highly recommend.

An authentic British fish & chips. One of my all time favourite f&c restaurants in London. The fish is crispy outside and juicy inside. The portions are large and well worth the price imo. They also have a take-away shop next door.

We were in the takeout restaurant. The prices are steep and by German standards a portion of fish & chips is very expensive at around 18 euros, but it tastes very, very good! The fish comes with remoulade, mayonnaise, ketchup and, traditionally, vinegar if you like. Very good!

An excellent restaurant that truly deserves a full rating. While the prices are slightly above average, the portion size and taste absolutely make up for it. It would be great to see more soda options like Barr Cola or Kinza Cola added to the menu. The traditional fish and chips dish is especially outstanding and delicious.

Great food, great service, and a dreamy aquatic setting to match. Staff really showed care and attention, definitely on my list of places to return to.

Seems to have changed, loved going here but the staff on tills are now unfriendly and the chips were dry and over cooked. Also, they precook too many so they aren’t always hot when they serve you. In fact, we had to throw them away. Such a shame.

Fantastic classic fish and chips place which is also halal. There service is relatively fast, always fresh. Food tastes really good but generally I would stick to the fried stuff rather than grilled (from my own experience). Sausages are also really tasty for an indulgence! It can be tricky to park if you are doing take away. I haven't been to restaurant but it looks quite nice. There are plenty of spots to eat if you did want to eat from the takeaway. You still get served in the same way and boxes etc. Really recommend this place.

I love the layout of the restaurant. At the back there are fish in their tanks. Makes the atmosphere calm . The food a bit pricey but it's Central London . I'm glutenfree and they have gluten free batter as well for the fish should you wish. I had no reaction to the battery so it must be gluten free. The service is outstanding

Prices are very hit and miss depending on who serves you. Chicken nuggets and chips for 2 people has been charged at £13, £13.50 And £14. Queries result in being told that the prices have just gone up. Every time? Good great.

Good quality fish & chips. Around £40 for two people including sauces and soft drink. The staff are very nice however, shouting the ticket numbers repeatedly makes you feel like you’re in a canteen. Wouldn’t recommend dining in if you have a pushchair/kids as can get a bit hectic when busy and most seating his on high stools.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience here! From the moment I walked in, the service was warm, friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Olia, the manager, made sure we were comfortable and well taking care of throughout the entire meal. The fish and chips is one of the best I’ve ever had! The fish was perfectly cooked, flaky on the inside, with a golden, crispy batter that wasn’t greasy at all. Everything tasted fresh and was clearly made with care. Highly recommended if you’re craving a proper fish and chips experience done right!

Perfect service, gets fish and chips ever

The restaurant has an amazing decor including an aquarium in one of the sides. However, the popcorn cod and chips were just average. Service was slow despite the fact that the restaurant was nearly empty!

We were greeted at 5.45 with “good job you are early we are closing at 7”. There was no background music at all and we were the only customers in the restaurant. Other guests then did arrive and the bell kept being pressed as our food was ready. When it arrived it was cold and unappetising to say the least. We were asked how our meal was and when we said it was cold we were offered a free pudding!! The final bill was reduced by 20% but that is not what we wanted expecting a good meal. We will never be returning.

Somehow soggy yet dry at the same time fish and really bland. They forgot a few items from our order along with everything arriving cold because they let it sit on the counter for half an hour before delivering. The salad had spoiled mushy cucumbers in it. There are enough actually good fish and chips shops near by, would not try here again.

We always wanted to try it to see what the hype is about and while we enjoyed decent fish and chips we still could not quite understand the excitement. Again - decent fish and food place with good service. Worth a detour - probably not albeit we will be back when we are in the area). Thank you

Great variety of seafood dishes. Fish n chips were good although the second order came out better than the first. Onion rings were great!. Restaurant service was good enough but it is understaffed. The 2 staff were serving and working at a frantic pace. Wasn’t always easy to get their attention but when we did, service was excellent. Food was served without much waiting time.
