Not very nice people who run this pub there attitude has lost them a lot of custom this pub is going to be and Aldi real soon.

Always go there for football steak pie and chips is fantastic

Really good home cooked food at excellent price

Came today 3 March 2024 there were 12 of us the food was excellent lovely big slices of beef, the sweets were lovely atmosphere was great the staff were friendly would definitely go back.

Went here on a Saturday night a couple of weeks ago. We had 2 mixed grills, one chicken curry and a scampi and chips Mixed grills were definitely worth the money and the portion sizes were nice and a decent amount of meat. Peas were a bit hard but other than that food was great. They have some of the best chips I have ever had as they are more like homemade ones you would fry, not greasy. We will be going back on Friday as can't get those chips out of my head! (Pregnant so cravings are REAL)

Quiet evening with the lads having a chat and a beer. Barman was ace, even remembered our round from the last time we went some time ago.

Hadnt been for 2 year decided to go this sunday wasnt impressed very cold no heating on & my lamb had a lot of fat on it portion size small one small scoup of mash potate roasts under cooked wont be going again

Lovely little pub and pretty good food

A definite hidden gem. The food is all home made, even the chips. My kids won't normally eat chips yet they wolfed them down! Its all tasted great and nothing was too much trouble. I'm very pleasantly surprised. I've put 4 stars because although the pub is immaculately clean, it does look slightly tired and could do with a furniture revamp maybe?

My husband said it was the best meat pie he's ever had. Tea £ coffee £1.50 and 2 meals for £9 wow

We have been for food at The Royal Exchange 3 times in the last 2 weeks. Absolutly beautiful food. Was amazed that you get real home made chips and not frozen ones. Very good value for money. We both were full after each meal. Staff very friendly and welcoming. They do Sunday lunch which we are yet to try. Would highly recommend anyone to call in and have a meal and drink. We will be going when ever we can. 👍👍👍

We had Sunday lunch which was excellent plus they always have a couple of good draft beers. Friendly staff and atmosphere.

Excellent food and friendly service...

It was a quiet place around 5 pm. If you want to eat plan your presence accordingly as food are served at certain times (Mon - Sat: 12:00 - 14:00, 17:00 - 20:00, Sun: 12:00 - 16:00). We ordered as starters Cheesy Potato Wedges and Chicken Goujons, they were really good, plus point for the wedges as the cheese was not only on the top, but on every layer. For mains we had Cajun chicken and 10 oz gammon steak. They were huge, on the photo only half of the steak is visible, however the fries were a bit oily, had it been like the wedges in the starter, would have been better. Overall, pleased with the experience, and excellent prices (probably one of the best in the area).
