Been past loads of times .this evening decided to go in ,wasn't disappointed the food was superb had the Istanbul platter and a donner kebab .the staff were great very attentive and polite. gave me some tea and turkish delight while I waited for my food my daughters enjoyed the very tasty food will definitely be back for more

This place is a hidden gem in Walsall and will truly amaze you with their food and hospitality. If you’re looking for an authentic Turkish cuisine; grill guyz is a place you must visit! The chef has worked in top notch restaurants and is well experienced. The kebabs and sauces are mouthwatering. We had the Ankara platter which was delicious. Don’t forget to ask for the baklava it’s the best I have tried! and I have tried many from different places. The owners really look after you with their exceptional service and I would definitely visit again.

Great food always fresh best Turkish food in Walsall!

The shop claims to be Turkish but the "donner" kebab is cut so thin that it's cold before it even reaches the Naan. Real Turkish kebab is not cut with an electric shaver into paper thin strips of meat, they use a very large knife/machete and cut it by hand. The Naan itself doesn't seem to be freshly baked either, just re heated in the oven. Portion size is very small for the prices they are charging you'll soon realise the place is a rip off. Cutting the kebab thin mght make it "look bigger" than it is but I could easily eat 2 of their Large Donner kebab in Naan including the boxes and still have room for a small one on top + dessert. The kebab has hardly any weight to it. Most of the local kebab shops/chippies in the area do a Large kebab which has some weight to it and serves in a freshly cooked Naan. I've had much better, larger Turkish kebabs for less in London than what these guys are charging for a small portion in walsall's slum district.

I ordered first time and I loved the food. Ordered second time today food was disgusting. May be the donner just went cold due to distance but sending me old stale and undercooked baklava on purpose! When I called i was told fresh baklava has just been delivered. Don't know what the hell you sent me. To be fair when I called owner was very polite and understanding. Put hand up and accepted baklava had been undercooked due to incorrect oven temperature. Spoiled our meal tho.

Ordered in Grill Guyz second time, and food was absolutely brilliant there. When comparing price and quality to German Doner Kebab from Walsall, it is no compare. Quality/quantity and tasty are way better than GDK.I think the Grill Guyz is the one the best Kebab what I eat. When I bring my food home, my house smells fresh, wooden smoke. The best Turkish food in Walsall Tender succulent and juicy

Ordered here many many times. Always fantastic. Great service whether delivery or collection. Food is fresh and flavourful. Unlike anything I've tasted recently in the area. Run, don’t walk to try this place. I recommend getting one of their platters as you are able to try a bit of everything. Also, their homemade garlic dip to die for!!!!

We were coming from lake district and going to London, I check for some halal food close to Birmingham.Then we ordered on phone and collected food on the way back.It was super fresh and the chef was very humble offered us tea, fresh Turkish bread and olives complimentary. Extremely friendly bunch of people serving amazing food. Must Try .

First class service; very friendly staff; fantastic food; clean environment; good value for money and complimentary Turkish tea offered to my wife and I due to the long wait (just worth adding that we were told the donner chicken had just been put on to cook so would take time so I chose to wait). Top marks for everything!

Very good food but a bit too oily.

The staff were friendly and polite. The food was delicious, fresh and well presented. Everything from the lamb to the hallumi was perfectly cooked and very morish. Best meal we've had in quite a long time and we will definitely be going back time and again.

Was out of town from London for work, met up with a brother who suggested we try out GG, was welcomed by a lovely lady who took our order, confirming exactly what we were getting with a Platter for 4 adults, placed the order and they were kind enough to allow us to use the toilet and wash the hands. Turkish bread with salad and Humous and Yoghurt were served first, then along came the beautiful platter which has Chicken and Lamb Donor, Chicken and Lamb Shish and Chicken and Lamb Adana Kebabs as well as Chicken wings and Lamb Ribs, all this accompanied by Rice and Bulgur. Food portion was decent actually perfect for the two of us, might need to go bigger if there are 4 adults. Quality of meat was succulent, juicy and fresh. The spice sauce and garlic were on point and really complimented when dipping the meat. Very clean meat with no smell from donor meat unlike some other places. A vibrant nice bright atmosphere with some seating available, towards the end we were given Turkish Tea, one of the best I had and it was complimented with lovely Mint tasting Turkish Delight really hitting that spot leaving the mouth feeling refreshed. Staff were very kind and attentive offering more tea top up and the food preparation and cooking time took a little under 20 minutes which is absolutely fair. If ever in the area will visit again. I'm definitely a happy bunny about to cover another few hours on driving knowing i have had some amazing food, Well Done Team Grill Guyz

We love Turkish food it is similar to Afghan food, we were looking for a HALAL Turkish place for months as we always have to go to Mums area (Birmingham) to eat halal Turkish food. I am so glad these guys put the ad up on Walsall Muslims group this is how I found this little gem of a place . Delicious authentic food, top fresh food, excellent staff, friendly and making sure we are okay throughout our meal. Honestly faultless service we will deffo be coming again! They say they close at 10pm. Got therE 9:10pm to order and they was cleaning the kitchen closing up saying you can only have donner as the grill is being cleaned. Don’t waste your time with garbage from kfc, McDonald’s or dominoes pizza, try something different and go for some none processed freshly cooked food. We had the Ankara platter, so much selection of outstanding food, absolutely everything was delicious. Do yourself a favour and try here.

1st time eating from this place and it didn't disappoint. Got the platter for 2-3 and catered to our needs. It's tasted amazing food was cooked fresh so a little bit of a wait but well worth the wait. Every question asked was answered with knowledge and passion about the food and ingredients. This place is probably one of the best food places i have ever been too. The quality of the meat is out of this world. It melts in your mouth. 5* FOOD HYGIENE too. we ordered antalya platter and mix donner meat and chips. The donner meat is absolutely delicious, anyone with good taste buds will know its all authentic. Not the regular cheap donner you get in the chips shop full of spices. The chips is high quality, the bread is scrumptious. The salad was high quality fresh and crispy, loved the tangy dressing on it. Not the cheap lettuce and carrot and cabbages you usuallyget everywhere. What else can i say. It was worth the long journey. Would definitely return again.

I ordered a mixed doner kebab so my review is based on my purchase. I found the lamb doner meat salty, which means cheap low level product, the chicken meat was tasteless I’m guessing the Turkish bread isn’t made on premises which was pretty tough and doughy. I’ve purchased better lamb doner kebab meat from seagulls chip shop Bloxwich For the price I paid £9, I should have purchased from German Doner much better quality plus I would have got a meal for extra £0.50p. German Doner would be my go to place for a quality Doner meal or Seagulls for a cheaper but decent alternative 😊

Place looks clean. Service is ok. Food is fresh. When we were sitting there, it looked popular as they had good number of customers. I had theirs special grill for £17. That was a disappointment for me, but not because of the quality. It was very tasty, but the price to the meat amount is not adequate. It was overpriced in my opinion.

Went with my family of 10 today ate in . Ordered the marash platter. Perfect for family feast also my sister had the salmon and the portion size was very decent, lamb chops are great in size and quality. Everything about this place is fresh and quality. Only place in walsall where you can get real good donner not that fake cheap plastic stuff only thing id rate low is the chicken donner the cuts are too thin and should not be cut like that it ruins the taste portion sizes are also small i orderd a large but had less meat in it for a large staff at the till are nice but the other staff the owners always look moody n angry smile a bit a solid 6.5 out of 10.

If you want authentic Turkish food without having to travel all the way to Birmingham then this is the spot! The food was 10/10, good sized portion and reasonably priced. The staff are extremely friendly and take pride in thier work, the service was great, food came out promptly and we was even given a complimentry Turkish tea which was delicious. It was constantly busy, phone was ringing and people walkin in to collect thier takeaway order which is something I always look for as its a sign of quality food! Overall this place is definetly worth a visit!!

Absolutely 5-star takeaway restaurant. One of the best in West Midlands. I live in Wolverhampton but I will return as a regular customer. Greek salad, tzatziki, mixed doner and their chilli sauce brilliant. Very friendly staff members and nice gesture to provide Turkish tea while waiting for the freshly prepared food.

Great food here, we had mixed kebabs in Turkish bread alongside fiery chips and regular chips. The fiery ones were a little warm at first but a really nice flavour. The kebab meat was tasty, and not overly spicy. Will look forward to trying other things on the menu.
