Lively local pub. Popped in to catch up with work colleagues, staff very friendly and polite will definitely pop back again soon, was a busy place great !

Played Darts here tonight had an amazing night with the home team from the Romiley made the Cathays Dragons very welcome had a great laugh very welcoming I would go here again.

A very attractive pub from the outside. Fairly basic inside. As with most Brains pubs that have been taken over by Marstons the availability of Brains beers is severely limited.

An extremely pleasant place for you to relax, chat, and enjoy a good beer. I was curious to check out the pub (it had been on my list of places to go since I arrived in Cardiff), and on Monday night, the opportunity came up. The space is very large, comfortable, and has a perfect playlist (whoever chose the music deserves an award!). The atmosphere wasn't crowded since it was a Monday, and there were even elderly ladies doing their crochet and drinking (I thought that was the BEST—I almost set a new life goal and joined them). A good variety of beers were being served, all at very fair prices. It's worth noting that for dinner there were only sandwich and chips options. But I went for the drinks anyway, so it was great. I recommend it and will certainly return (to become a member of the crochet and drinking club)!

Excellent friendly real old school pub. Not been before. Popped in for a quick one on the way to the Wales game. Definitely will go again. 😁👍🤝

A pretty dull and uninspiring place. Reduced rating - garden is nice enough in that it’s big. Doesn’t allow dogs which is odd. Staff can be abrasive and drinks selection in terms of beer is extremely poor. Also it’s weirdly over lit in terms of interior lighting.

Lovely pub.. At least it is on a Thursday/Friday late afternoon/early evening. Haven't been in any later. Great beer garden (but no play facilities for kids)!

The best pub in the Canton/Pontcanna area. Tuesdays are great. So is the weekend. Sunday lunches are fabulous.

Can't rate food as only stopped for one quick drink. Big beer garden, some of it under a marquee. Good service, nice atmosphere.

The Sunday roast is lovely and made feel very welcomed by lady that works there. Will be going again for sure. Probably the best Guinness in the diff also.

They don't do food regularly, the staff sometimes seem quite grumpy, and despite having a beautiful garden, dogs aren't allowed.

A traditional community pub, popular with local people, families, visitors and tourists. Multi-roomed off a bar at one end of the front, there is also plenty of outdoor space. Light and fairly cheery decor. A friendly atmosphere, attracts people of all ages. Often quiet but can be noisy when busy. The handpumps usually have Brain's bitter and Marston's Pedigree for traditional ale. An completely ordinary range of other drinks with limited premium or higher quality offers. Some craft type beer for those who like it, and some wine choices.

Myself and my girlfriend Anna enjoyed going to the pub. The owners make us feel welcome and the staff are friendly behind the bar. The jukebox lights up the mood

Lovely veggie Sunday roast, huge portions, lots of vegetables, creamy mash, roast potatoes, parsnips, veggie gravy and jam sponge for desert. Friendly staff and good home cooking.

The ladies who over see the bookings for Sunday lunch and who cook and serve it. Are a credit to this establishment. They care so much about what they give the customer and so passionate. I went on my own at 12pm on Sunday 2 October 2023. The lunch was sublime their and nothing but nothing is to much trouble for them. Thanks Ellie 😊

Food lovely and staff are friendly. The best part as an allergy sufferer it’s a safe place. As dogs are only allowed in front half of pub inside and out and rest is dogs free

The Romilly is a lovely pub, local to me too. Lovely staff, lovely drinks and I love the jukebox. My boyfriend and I often visit, always use the jukebox and are always happy.

Great place to watch TV rugby match

We had a lovely Sunday roast. The food was gorgeous, big portions and came so quickly. The staff were absolutely lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. Prices were so reasonable and would really recommend!!

Came down to watch from N. Wales to watch Wales v England and called in for a pint & a Pizza. Found the pizza , beer & staff so brilliant that we returned after the game . Our drink of choice was Brains bitter which was like drinking liquid gold but without the price tag . Clare & Nicola behind the bar as with all the other staff were a breath of fresh air.Ian the landlord a true gent . Cheers Diolch

Regular Brains ( or maybe Marstons) pub. Visited on a Monday so a bit quiet but friendly enough.

Stunning dart board and company

I have visited the Romilly a few times and find the staff there are very friendly and hard working. The toilets are the cleanest toilets I have seen in any pub and always smell so fresh and clean.

Had a lovely evening on Thursday. An Italian night with lovely food and a couple of Guinness. Great staff and atmosphere. Thank you all involved.

Had a wonderfully festive Boxing Day here. Everything first class, bar staff a great laugh, excellent hand carved ham rolls, well kept Guiness. What's not to like? Proper boozer.
