The food is amazing and incredible , especially the hainan chicken,nasi goreng and the prawn cake 😋😋😋AND it is also very affordable. There is also parking space next to the Bredbury station 😆

Visited today and all the food was fantastic. It’s a pub. You order drinks at the bar and knock on the kitchen door to order your food. If you are after some authentic food then I would recommend giving it a try. We ate the ho fun beef noodles, katsu chicken and hainanese chicken. It was all lovely and the dipping sauces were great. Can’t wait to go back.

Very good Asian food in British pub. Cozy vibes. We ordered the Hainan chicken on rice, satay chicken skewers, pad thai and seafood laksa! I loved the soup of laksa and Hainan chicken comes with all three sauces which is rare. Highly recommended!

A lovely little gem with curry and Indonesian dishes: Hainan chicken and laksa noodles are good. It is also served with milk tea and lemon tea in Hong Kong style. Of course, you can get a few drinks of coaktail and beer inside this pub.

Amazing food AMAZING, do not go here if you're after a high street Chinese because it's not high st and it's cooked to order so you have to be prepared to wait . Highly recommend.

The pub has become rougher, but with Chinese food. The food was just slammed on the table with zero manners. Go somewhere else.

Appalling service, bad manners and food just thrown on the table. This is not a restaurant it is a pub just serving chinese food. Staff stood around smoking outside, sat on windowsill and overall really quite bad

A bar reinvented by a HongKonger

Could just be growing pains from recently reopening with new owners but not doing Guinness in two parts is a bad sign — seems to be a more food-oriented place though which is fair enough However, the staff were very polite, and helpful so I’ll give four stars, and hope to try the food in future instead of basing my experiences solely on pub expectations — seems as they’re all becoming restaurants in drag these days (if not more commonly apartments, and just straight up restaurants) Incidentally, it is situated adjacent to Bredbury railway station

A nice friendly pub that serves a decent pint and welcomes well behaved dogs with their thirsty owners. Well done, food is also now served. Been coming here since I was in my late teens, even the dog enjoys his visit.

Came for Sunday lunch. Very reasonably priced and the quality was great. Came here because they did lamb Sunday roasts, allowed dogs and was kid friendly. Will definitely be coming back.

A really nice little pub just next to the train station for easy access. The food is good and the drinks selection is too. The outdoor seating is nice and cozy and lively in the sunshine. The staff were super friendly. Thanks guys.

What a lovely atmosphere being created by Mick & Becky new landlord and landlady of The Rising Sun, warm and welcoming, we had beef Sunday lunch which was excellent, all fresh and pudding was delicious will definitely be visiting again.

The rising sun is now under new management February 23 offering a lovely warm atmosphere with home cooked food

Food was good but was like eating it in a empty house waiting to have some life pumped into it

The food was edable but the beef was awful and the customer service needs addressing we were offered no condiments and no one came to ask how was the food I am not a fussy person but that beef was not nice

Went for the first time since the new management and for the quiz night. Had the best time. Good priced drinks and food, great atmosphere, friendly staff. All round excellent time. Will definitely be going back and probably becoming a regular. It's also in a perfect location for if you're planning a night out in town, or drinks after a day's shopping. Can't recommend this pub enough!

Had a fabulous meal at the Rising Sun tonight with a good friend of mine. The food fabulous and the staff really helpful and friendly, especially the cheeky chappie who served us. He recommended the chilli pulled pork burger and he wasn't wrong. Gorgeous. Will definitely be back x

Me my sister and mum decided to come to the rising sun for some lunch and some drinks on the 30/4/21, the food was apsoluley lovley and our server whos name was Ashley was very polite and attentive! Checking up on us regularly and keeping the drinks flowing! Even when we had a slight problem with our order he sorted it out straight away! And we couldn't be happier! We would come back just because of Ashley alone but the food but a big bonus!! And deserts were lovley 100% recommend!!

Visited 24th Aug 2019 for tea. The steak pie was amazing! My friend had the fish and chips which was also very good. Huge portions and good value. All the staff were friendly and polite and Lucas behind the bar was doing a great job! Will definitely be back. Thank you

Didn't see it before the refurb as new to the area, but looks good and cosy. Had the rising sun burger which was excellent and the missus enjoyed her ceaser salad. Enjoyed the Friday night live music but agree with the previous reviewer, ditch the trough in the gents! #splashback

Good food quality from this local pub which has re-opened yet again after a short closure. I genuinely wish it will continue to trade in the long term. Very friendly and helpful staff. Wish them the best.

Great food, lovely staff & quiz night is good fun 😊

Food was good, prices reasonable. Service was pleasant but took a long time to get food, kids were getting a bit unruly whilst waiting. Some communication to tell us how long would be good, then I could take them out for a walk or something.

Somewhat lacking on the cask ale front. Now only does one cask ale. Looks a tad tired too.

The food and drinks were great, when we visited it was a lot busier than usual and there was a rather long wait for the food. All things considered I would definitely recommend The Rising Sun.

Recently changed hands only reopened for a week or less. Friendly owner, girlfriend and chef. Selection of beer .... funny that for a pub . Definitely now my local . Update ... (some comments above removed as now eaten here) Been open for a few weeks now and I go here once or twice a week although last week was more. Coming on in leaps and bounds . Quiz night last week. Live music tonight (i am not there tonight). Family Halloween day soon. Ate last Sunday ... Sunday lunch was great. Catered for my veggie daughter . You need to ask what's for pudding as there was more than on the menu available

Popped in from the train station and found they had three real ales on tried all three all very good and bar staff friendly as well
