Royal Scot in Stockport

Simply fabulous pub. I love it so much in there and I always feel very welcome. The landlord is nice and friendly and a great pizza chef. Toilets are clean. It’s just great honestly you should go for a visit if you’re in the area.

The family that runs this are the best of the best. The pizza is elite and the pints are 👌. Atmosphere is A1

Went here for birthday party,13 July 2024 very small pub. But staff were friendly. Dj played some good music.

Great day at The Royal Scot watching rugby. Lovely venue. Great service from the lads behind the bar. Very dog friendly. Pizzas very good

A great pub with lots of atmosphere and friendly service. A good variety of well kept beers although two were off during our visit whilst the barrels were being changed. But why is the pub sign a painting of the Flying Scotsman and not The Royal Scot?

We went in as advertising 'pizza & pints'. Was disappointed to find that was not what we got. Price is only for pizza, so not what advertised. Other companies that advertise meal deals provide food and drink. Bar staff quick to take order and serve drinks, but food service very slow.

What a lovely warm pub its nice when walking in, its just get used to people in the pub when your a regular sometimes.

Decor is great, they are pretty friendly and always a craft beer on keg which is great. Miss the food, but they have let me bring chips in before!

Great pub - took some pals who were more than impressed with the beers, took it up a level with the Pizza's which we all thought were fantastic - will be back of course !!

If there was ever a reason to go visit one of your local pubs, this was it? Pie and Mash night [Fri - Sunday nights] Probably the best Pie and mash ever. Seriously, dont under estimate how good this is & miss the chance to taste the excellent slightly oversized pies, from the pie menu which covers most tastes from balti to beef & ale. Runs winter months to start of summer.

Spent a lovely afternoon in this cozy, beautiful pub. Really good choice of ales and the beef pie with mash was delicious. Loads of filling in the pie and super creamy mash. Great background music and brill staff made it a perfect afternoon!

Friendly staff and great menu of pies. I had the keema pie with tumeric mash and spiced gravy. It smelt so good that I forgot to take a pic before I started. It tasted so good and the mash was so smooth and buttery. My other half had the slow braised beef which was stuff full beef.

Great family friendly pub which does a seasonal pie and mash menu Friday Saturday and Sunday. The pies are locally sourced and are really tasty. A real value for money meal and a winter warmer

I didn't like this place straight after the renovation. It became a party pub for a while, great if you were one of the crowd. Crowds have gone and there's been a change in regulars. It's a great place bar staff are welcoming. I'm not a fan of Robinson's beer, but there is always a couple of great guest beers, so don't let the Robinson's this put you off.

We went for the Greek food stall. The gyros were delicious and the bar service was great.

A great boozer. Lovely Robinsons beer on draft - a proper pint. Log fire, clean and comfortable surroundings. No Sky TV. Why can't all pubs be like this place.

Absolutely brilliant experience provided by Luke, he gave the all round 5* treatment, service on point and pandered to our every need.

Beer from recycled cornflakes!.... gorgeous.. Service was top draw...allowed us to eat our chips an curry, from the equally amazing chippy over the road, outside. The chip shop owner even brought our snack to us an then returned to bin our rubbish!...was really amazing service you just don't come across these days

Sick in ash tray on entrance to pub. Staff walked passed it several times and even looked at it but did nothing. Very poor. Won't be going again....

Under new management and been refurbished. The beer here is always absolutely spot on and staff so helpful and friendly. Becoming really popular now.

A cosy drinking atmosphere, with an outside area to the front. It's a Robinsons pub so the selection of beer is always Robinsons but that's not necessary a bad thing.

Lovely landlord and landlady, warm friendly atmosphere. Good entertainment on every Saturday evening. Plus the people who drink there are a lovely friendly bunch!

Very friendly, very welcoming, open fire and lovely beers to boot. The landlord said on the phone, that the after 3pm menu is basic, but we found this menu to have homemade pies that were amazing. Far from basic. 100% recommend this pub.

New licensees have started pub grub menu 12-3pm excellent quality food and also have snack pies and pizza to eat in or takeaway in the evenings. Saturday entertainment on and great quiz on a Thursday.

Lovely pub with a warm and friendly atmosphere! The staff are all great and a cracking pint of San Miguel as well! I can't give 6 stars unfortunately!
