Stumbled across this place while out dog walking in the area. Myself and a friend called in and was met by a lovely lady behind the bar. Friendly attentive service and a great little sun trap in the beer garden at the back. Called in here twice while visiting the area. Very friendly and chatty locals and lots of friendly visiting dog walkers. Will definitely be visiting here again when in the area.

Called in for a drink one Saturday afternoon. Only one bar staff on and she was very attentive with a warming personality. A very friendly pub with reasonable prices, we will call in again when we're in the area.

You wouldn't even know this place was a pub from the outside it absolutely took me by surprise when I walked in to meet my wife on her works night out .....definitely a little local pub with it being in a small town . The beer was good staff and locals were friendly and a good laugh . Also has a great outdoor area at the back .

The pub is a local to the residents they don't do food but serve good beer in a dog friendly atmosphere it has a beer garden at the back and parking is on the street.

Had a few drinks in the garden, great atmosphere! I had 1/2 chicken roast, everything fresh, roasties lovely & crispy & you could taste the butter in the carrot & swede My husband had fish & chips, very fresh & fish so white Great meal, service friendly , definitely recommend x

Stayed in Haverigg for New Year and found the Rising Sun. Lovely village local which was dog friendly. Nice atmosphere, friendly and welcoming. Great busy little pub would definitely visit again.

Nice little pub. Quiet during the week but then most places are. Decent selection of drink.

Good real ale with excellent service

No hot water and the pints are so watery it tastes like cheep cordial would not recommend unless you do drugs

Stumbled across this establishment. Nothing to write about the inside, but for a little village pub, this was ideal for us holidaymakers. A decent pint of Guinness and lager. Pub was spotless as was the bar lady. Our dogs were allowed in and i felt bad that they left a bit of hair on the carpet as it was immaculate. We will visit again

Nice venue with two areas and a rear paved garden. Plenty of good beers on tap, pool table etc. Worth a try. Extremely Dog friendly with one part of the pub for dogs and owners. We pop in for a drink after a local dog owner suggested it. The staff where so friendly to our dogs even given them treatments
