The Rise in Flintshire

Visited today for breakfast, I ordered poached eggs on toast, I couldn’t eat it, I had one bite, very very strong taste of vinegar, very unpleasant. Paid the full bill after informing staff, poor really!

Lovely breakfast, good quality ingredients all well cooked. The sourdough toast is gorgeous. As an added bonus bought some sourdough to take home along with a ginger cake. Both delicious

A great place to go for breakfast. Freshly cooked bread and cakes on the premises. I could not resist buying the lemon cake to take away. The breakfast was lovely, friendly staff and a very clean cafe

What a Gem on a place! Have now been several times and look forward to the next! Staff are attentive and food fantastic! The bakery is amazing and always buy something to take home! My favourite so far is the cherry loaf with icing glaze on top! Place is always busy and clean. There is attention to detail. My only suggestion would be to roast the tomatoes with the Avacado on sourdough toast. Top marks from me!

This was our first visit to the cafe so we hadn’t understood the need to book. When we arrived all the tables were taken so the friendly staff found us a sofa in the back room until a table was available. We were able to order our food and be seated at a table before it arrived. Lovely choice of lunch options which were all delicious and filling. Service was prompt and friendly despite the cafe being busy. The cakes in the bakery looked too good to miss so we took some home for later. We hope to return soon.

First time visiting and what a joy it was! Breakfast was wonderful and as for the bread, pies and amazing cakes-yummy!!!! The staff were so lovely, the place spotless and we can’t wait to go back!

Terrible service from start to finish waited 10 mins to be seated and another 10 minutes for drinks which were in a bottle and a can, and 45 minutes for one pizza at lunch time. Waitresses used to be lovely on previous visits but on this occasion they were not attentive and couldn't care less that we were there, their faces said it all. We had no napkins cutlery etc table wasn't cleaned either. Had to take pizza away in the end as had to be somewhere else and would be late, I was given a flat packed box and expected to pack up pizza and potato salad myself thats when I went over to ask for a manager who in fairness was very good apologised and packaged up for me. She seems to be the only one who had a smile on her face too. Real shame as when first opened it felt welcoming and attentive, not anymore. Food isn't as good as it first opened either, children's menu is really poor too hardly any variety. The pizza wasn't great either won't bother in future.

Top notch cooked breakfast at the Rise in Buckley. They have an on site bakery and the bread is beautiful. Place is clean, spacious and modern. Staff are friendly and the food is fantastic. Been twice in the last couple of months, wife has also been for lunch and was very impressed. Would recommend for a visit.

Lovely cafe. It is amazingly clean, has a good selection of cream cakes and bakes. There is a bakery onsite so you can even buy fresh bread. Nice menu for breakfasts, lunches or just tea and cake. Lovely friendly staff. A great little cafe.
