I'm immensely impressed with this venue, first time, very welcoming and when inside I was shocked with the charm of the place. Incredible interior, great drinks and fab music. Thanks for a great night.

Lovely interesting venue with typical Greene King offerings

I went to the re-groove, lovely place but as it was tickets, I wasn't expecting to be squashed like a sardine most of the night. By midnight there wasn't a single piece of dance floor that wasn't swimming in drink.

Great night, laid back with no vaccine passports etc required. Bar staff friendly and helpful. Good music, good dancefloor, decent facilities.

Attended the 80s and 90s nite fab nite me and all my friends really enjoyed it

I liked it. It has changed hands, I hope good things happen to this place.

It's a far cry from what it used to be like a few years ago but it has new owners now who are trying to get the good times back so time will tell if they succeed.

Nice surroundings, feels like it's from a different era. Nice food - my lasagne was the most meaty I've had, and the chocolate Brownie had walnuts in it - so nice to be different.

Cold place ,No kitchen on weekdays.

I ate here and the food was good but the cleanliness of the place is questionable. Lots of dust, dirty tables and dusty window ledges, cobwebs, etc I think they need to hire a cleaner!

Popped in yesterday for a quick bite to eat with the family. Stood at the bar and two barmaids made no attempt to serve me. When I approached them and asked to order food a lady came over to ask where her meal was as her family had nearly finished theirs and the barmaids just looked lost. Anyway after over an hour of waiting I asked them when the food would be ready and again they had no clue what was going on so I had to keep repeating the order. When our dishes finally arrived the brought a the wrong dish for the children and they had to wait longer for theirs. Food was not worth the wait really bad quality and looks like it was just thrown together no apologies from the staff when they took our plates and walked off. Big shame as we had eaten here a while ago but the place has gone down hill since, no real sence of management or service skills. I know it's just pub grub but if you can't get then why offer it.

Arrived during a reggae sound check music was awful other people complained definitely worth making sure the time is right for your visit

Friendly staff, nice food good service and good value for money

Staff really friendly but beer was bloody awful ..

I was attending to an injured bird in the street which had wandered near to the outside of The Rep, I put my drink bottle and sandwich down on their outside table while attending to it.  The owner came and I explained the situation, but he started acting passively aggressive towards me and did not care in the slightest about the sick animal, he only cared that a non-customer was on his property. He said “give the bird to me and I will deal with it”, in a way which I understood to be a threat to kill the poor thing.  There were 3 other tables and there was no one sitting on any of them, so I was not obstructing any use for customers. Is it asking too much for someone to show a little bit of kindness and understanding to others these days?

Scruffy. Not the lively bustling place I remember. No staff and awful coffee.

Charged £13 for a Doombar and medium wine! Lovely place but won't get ripped off again.

I visited at noon on a Thursday. The food was excellent and affordable, service was prompt and friendly. I ordered Prawn and Avocado Salad which was a large potion, fresh, with large prawns and dressing on top. I had a large diet coke all for under £10. The Rep is sadly tatty(not in a shabby chic way) and in need of vacuum. I'll go back tho, and recommend the food and staff.

Came in tonight for a beer, some event on, a couple of guys shouting on the mics, from a few years ago this place has gone down hill. Supposed to have premium Bose sound but was underwhelming if at all poor. Manager needs to sort this out! Used to DJ here a few years ago and always had a great crowd! Let's hope they improve things

Been in today as a three for food and drinks. Lovely food, had the burger and 2x Chicken and leek pie and food was fresh and good portion sizes. £22 for the whole think. Great value for money & the bar staff were lovely and friendly. Would recommend!

Classic place to chill and have a laugh

What an experience, had poledancer and everything! what a great place for a romantic anniversary meal

Place was empty apart from a couple of people, getting drinks and food ordered took forever and waited 45+ mins for the food to arrive, only ordered a cheeseburger and bbq wrap, service was poor, food was cold when it finally arrived, would not recommend this place, normally recommend greene king places but not this one

No longer a Greene King pub but now independently run and renamed to Rep.live (although the signs outside haven't changed). Nominally a music venue specialising in showcasing singer-songwriters but it re-opened with just one act booked and there don't seem to be any more lined up. Range of drinks is now more limited (and more expensive) than before and the bar staff appear to be Inexperienced. There are two menus on the tables but one hasn't got any prices on and there's no indication of food service times. There is no wi-fi and we were encouraged to leave (by them turning all of the lights full up) at 8.30 on a Sunday evening, as they had decided to shut at 9.00. This used to be our regular Sunday evening drinking place but we've now moved to the Cock & Pye down the road. Unless the new people at Rep.live can make it more attractive to customers, I fear that it will be a very short-lived venture.

Food very slow and the place wasn't busy. Ladies toilet were either out of order or disgusting never seen anything like it, looked like a male public toilet they obviously don't checked hourly. It's gone down over the years.

Great food and service. Well furnished, in a central town location.

Warned there may be wait up to 40mins for food but in fact it came hot and well presented in only 20mins. Def worth another visit.

Been going for lunch every 6 weeks for months and the food has gradually deteriorated.Last time we had a jacket potato each and there was about a tablespoon of filling and so called salad was disgraceful. We won't be going again or will we recommend it in the future.

Continues to offer good food and family atmosphere. Families during day enjoy stopping to eat and towards evenings the pub has a good social atmosphere for people meeting up.

A massive venue and good for all occasions. There is a variety of places to eat with however many people you want and the food is relatively cheaper than any other restaurant in Ipswich. However, the food is not always cooked fully or fully in date such as stale bread in sandwiches. But overall a great place.

I had Fish & Chips, could only eat the fish as the batter was very greasy & over cooked. Will not be having the fish there anymore.

Quirky interior. Friendly staff. Good quality good. Typical gastro pub menu. Good beer.

All ages gather in here & good for a Friday or Saturday night out as they play banging tunes new & old & the beer is fairly priced too.

Good food - interesting live music occasionally

Went to the Disney quiz and the app kept breaking and not working so we came one of the last teams, ordered alcohol during that time and it gave some of us a stomach ache, glasses where sticky and men's toilet doors are broken. Quiz was great but app used was terrible

Dont make the mistake of ordering food here the waiting times are awful kitchen staff cannot cope .Came last year exactly the same truly avoid they have not learned the lessons that the kitchen staff are not able to cope.

Went there for lunch earlier. Was told food was going to be about 40 minutes. An hour later it turned up and was pretty average food and my burger bun was dry and brittle. Other places who are just as busy manage to get food out much quicker and better quality and this isn't the first time the Rep has been late with food since I've visited. Not really acceptable.

Always enjoy this place, a good few years of popping in for a little bite to eat and a glass of cider. Great place to relax.

It isn't a patch on its old days, when it was a great night out and super busy. But it is still pretty good. We went on Saturday night and it was quite quiet even at midnight, but the music was good, old nineties and noughties stuff.

Toilet door locks and seats broken, no paper. Utter crud hole.

Lovely food. Beautiful restaurant. However, I’ve been in twice first time staff were lovely great service. But I went into today and went to ask for one of the buckets and some knives and forks and he said how many and I said one (meaning one bucket) then he just wrapped up one set of knives and forks. And I said I need 2 sorry...and he rolled his eyes and the lady was quite rude as well repeatedly asking what table number I said the long table upstairs and she asked me again what table number and I once again had to repeat myself!

Went there for lunch once, nice atmosphere, staff, service and food which I think is well priced. Love to go there again and I recommend it to anyone.

Today I had the sausage and mash ... I ate it because I'm hungry and don't waste food but mash was like cement way to thick ... sausages were nice and flavoured so good choice on that and the chutney is alright ... gravy is too thin in my opinion, disappointing as I trained with one of the chefs that works here and I know what that person can produce... side note peas over cooked as well ... I like this place alot but today has been abit disappointing
