The Regent Brasserie in East Dunbartonshire

Was in for lunch with my mother today (28/12/23) as part of her Xmas. The food as always was absolutely delicious, Meeki and Sophie were very welcoming and friendly, chatting to us and making sure we had everything needed to make our lunch as enjoyable as possible. I had the mince padora to start which is insanely tasty, mum had veg pakora, which she assured me was equally as delicious. For mains I had the ch tikka sig and my mother had the tikka main meal with a bhoona sauce, both were superb, and very well presented, I had a nan and mum had a chapati, both of which were fresh and tasted great. Overall we had a 5 star experience and would both highly recommend lunch or even dinner at the Brasserie.

A true Kirkintilloch Legend, been here for so long and still as good as ever. Amazing food, great value and what a welcoming place to go, staff and owners make you feel like family.

Definitely not my cuppa chai! Below average Indian food and definitely not great service.l had to ask for our table to be wiped down after we had eaten once our plates were cleared. I can only think that the reason this place has survived as long and gets the favourable reviews it’s received is because the locals tend to stay local! Definitely not on par with restaurants further afield. I’ll definitely not be back.

The starter was excellent. Staff are very attentive .The main meal wasn't as tasty as though it would be, but all in all we went home stuffed .

Meat was very dry on main meal and the starters tasted of grease. Sauce was watery with main meal. Put most of it in the bin.

First time eating here and it's lovely inside. Spacious and nicely decorated Stsff really friendly and as it was out first visit they went above qnd beyond which was lovely. Food was delicious. Poppadoms to start crispy and yummy. Mains were really good and portion size was big. Nan bread was lovely too. Defo go back

We came in yesterday for our lunch & it was my first time in this lovely restaurant the nice guy that served us couldn't do enough for us the food was absolutely beautiful & we had a few drinks do they were great will definitely be back & I would recommend it to anyone will be back again to 😋😋

Very expensive lunch menu! You have to pay extra for most meats unless it's boiled chicken.

Would of gave 5 stars but waited a while for our drinks order had to ask twice about them but food made up for the wait

Staff were so friendly, couldn't do enough. Food was phenomenal, one of the best Indian meals I've ever had, very authentic, tasty and reasonably priced

Foot was great ,could be a better choice of draft lager ,but they do have plenty of bottled beers, service was great.

The number one restaurant in kirkintilloch are you kidding me. Food arrived after 2 hours. Average food bit not helped by being stone cold and the fact the food had dripped out of the containers. First and last tone I'll order from them. Just a tip. Maybe they should take less orders and that might make them more professional

Food in here is absolutely 1st class and would highly recommend a visit. Now one of my favourite Indian restaurants. Fair distance from my my home in the west end of glasgow but will happily travel every time. Make sure you order their garlic nan, its the best ive ever had.

Friends treated me to a birthday meal, it was a lovely evening with fantastic food and great service 😊

Came here tonight for a meal with the family. Jamie and all the waitors made us feel so welcome. We were made to feel comfortable and always had service with a smile and a good laugh. Food was amazing also and will definitely be back in the near future.

10/10 I tried the venison curry just wow, meat fell off the bone,the flavours in the sauce was outstanding 👌 would definitely recommend trying,certainly be ordering again,thank you for a delicious meal 😋

Totally disappointed. Non existent service. Walked out after 25 minutes waiting for order to be taken. They were more interested in their takeaway service. Never again!

It was a very poor experience waiting one hour for starter's and then waited another hour for main dirty dishes were sitting in front of us for to long staff had to be flagged down to get drinks and at the end we had to cancel them. I will say they did say they would take the last round off the bill. I am unclear if they did as the bill was hand written and unreadable. Also they had alot of things missing off the menu. The food we did receive was excellent and that's the only reason I give it 2 stars and even then that's being kind there are better places to go in kirky. I won't be back not worth a 2nd chance

Food really good great value for money if anything to much food . Only complaint was waiting for a drink two drinks took 15 to 20minutes . Overall well worth the visit

A joke of a place, driver arrived 25minutes after leaving the restaurant, its a 5min drive! Food was freezing cold, called the restaurant and the attitude of the man who answered and claimed to be the owner was shocking and told me to complain to just eat and hung up on me, ridiculous service and food feels that cold I thot it was an ice cream

Outstanding, remeberd going to restaurant years ago food and hospitality was great. Orderd delivery and was amazed, taste,quality and delivery perfect, delivery was safe food on door step, delivery driver keeping social distance and making sure job was done. Well pleased

Food was lovely. High quality and fresh. It was so good that we ordered it for delivery a few nights later. Looking forward to being able to visit again when restrictions are lifted.

Ordered a delivery round about lunch time, asked for a creamy tikka masala, ended up getting a korma, was to tired to complain about it so i ate it, sauce was lacking in flavour, chicken was dry, can't say i would hurry back anytime soon.

A superb nights dining. Service was excellent, pakora starter was simply the best I have ever eaten anywhere. Will be back very soon.

Used the regent for the first time tonight; normally use Bombay dreams but I have to say this is the best Indian take-away I have had in ages. Cannot recommend it enough.

Used to always go to Regent Brasserie for sit in and takeaway and also for Xmas dinner on a few occasions. Have had two takeaways recently and not impressed. Chicken overcooked therefore tough and chewy. Have cooked better in my own kitchen. Thought the first time it happened was just an off day for their kitchen but sadly not. Won't be returning and will happily drive to Mango in Bonnybridge for a tasty curry instead.

Completely shocked at the cleanliness of this restaurant. Dirty floors, seats, tables and toilets. Given the current circumstances you would think cleaning would be done but this isn’t done to any standard. Dirty high chairs and toilets that look like they haven’t seen any bleach in months. Genuinely shocked that anyone could eat here. The restaurant was quiet so really can’t understand why it was so dirty.

Had a bar lunch on sat can not fault the meal it was very nice then we got the bill they charged us £5-50p for 2 cans of cola 1 diet and 1 ordinary cola nothing I hate more is being ripped off Asda 30 cans diet coke £7-50 it's time they popped down to Asda and got some

Yet another lovely Meal at The Brasserie this evening. Meeki and his staff always go that extra mile to make sure you have the best possible dining experience. Food, staff, and ambience all amazing, prices very reasonable too. What's not to love. We will definitely be back in the near future. 10/10 x

Just had a delivery from here and I have to say the food was a amazing and would definitely recommend the Tandoori mixed grill and Lamb Bhoona. I can't wait for the lockdown to end come for a sit in meal. I never rarely review as I'm so fussy but it was lovely

First time we've used The Regent and will definitely not be the last. Got a meal for two with a couple of extras. Meal was excellent, great quality meat and very tasty sauces (Chasni and Rogan Josh). Very pleasant on the phone when placing our order (considering just how busy they are with the lockdown, that's more remarkable than you may think!). If I had to nit pick, I'd say that the chilli in the chicken poori was a little harsh. But overall, the whole meal was excellent.

Disappointing visit here for lunch today. Food was fine as usual but staff were slow and inattentive. It took ages to clear our table and bring our coffee/teas(which were cold) Not up time the usual standard,Meeki. You were there too and should have been more aware of what was going on!!

Just the right portion for lunch time and the staff couldn't be more helpful. We will go back.

The staff where amazing excellent customer service the food was excellent the restaurant was gorgeous I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and experience was outstanding and wonderful myself and my husband will definitely be back complementary to the staff and chefs and Jamie was outstanding and wonderful and he always put a smile on your face

Had a lovely meal on 5th of October, they were running a charity night at the time but the staff were great. Food was cooked well and tasted great, recommended.

Great to have the staff back again especially Kenny they are all so helpful and friendly .The food is still of the same high standard excellent .Would definately recommend it well worth a visit and reasonably priced .

The Regent Brasserie is more than just a place to go for a meal, it’s an truly authentic, friendly and relaxed dining experience, delivered by a great team who execute the very best customer service coupled with amazing food, whether you fancy a traditional curry a steak or just a glass of wine with a side plate of tandoori style chops they’ve got the menu and ambience just right, the pace is attentive but atmosphere is so relaxed. and enjoyable, well done, great night, great food, great experience, we’ll be back.

Service was shocking, 2 main meals were served had to wait over 10 minutes for third meal to arrive by which time all meals except the late chicken, were cold. Cursory apology for management and staff, took a further 15 to pay bill!!!

sadly when we were served our chicken pakora it was served with old brown soggy lettuce leaves that was meant to be a "salad" it had to go back. When it was returned the waiter said there was no lettuce and our new salad consisted of just red onion and peppers??? no salad! and my daughter doesn't like peppers. Shame on the lazy kitchen staff sending out that old withered brown salad in the first place. won't be back. And it's not the regent brasserie anymore its been taken over and called Jasmines..more expensive to

Brilliant service and excellent food, Meeki and his staff always make you feel special and the food is second to none.

It pretty good with nice decor but is a little expensive.
