We booked a table as The Red Lion is quite small inside and it's usually quite popular! We each had burgers: The Chicken Stack and The Naked Burger. Both were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. This was our second visit to The Red Lion and we'll definitely be back again soon.

Just tried the tapas night and it was lovely. Great price for food and drink with a lovely log burner on the go. Would definitely recommend and will definitely return

Just been to Red Lion at Shirland had Sunday Lunch Chicken Kebabs katsu sauce Belly pork and a roast beef dinner and the biggest puddings I have ever had sticky toffee pudding and ice-cream and jam sponge and custard. It was all absolutely delicious and so reasonably priced a lovely experience will definitely be back 10 out of 10 for food and 10 out of 10 for staff thanks again x

Spoken to the pub about the fact that everyone seems to park outside my house stopping me from parking on the street that I live on and parking all along the street even though they have a car park ! And all I got from the pub was them blaming the near by school… last time I checked schools are not open at 8pm…. Disgraceful

Popped in for a quick drink, stayed for food. We weren't disappointed! Food was freshly prepped, landlady was lovely, clean, smart but comfy pub. I wish we lived closer coz it would be our fave.

Cosy little Pub, that serves fantastic food. My husband and I had the 2 for £15 burgers, which are served every Wednesday. I've got to say they are delicious! Great atmosphere and friendly staff. I'd definitely recommend this pub.

Have you ever searched for a place where everyone is so welcoming, somewhere warm, clean, hospitable and good food? I have since lockndown and finally found it here. If you're not a dog lover then it's not for you, peoplecomenhere to socialise with their dogs and thoroughly enjoy themselves. 10 out of 10 from me

Called in for a beer I had pint Farmers Blonde it was a perfect pint.The beer garden is lovely the owners built outdoor seating and TV brillReally friendly I had meal which was good would highly recommend it

First visit to this pub staff seem very friendly. Sat outside the only down side was a barking dog in the corner with his owner, really should of been asked to leave.Will try it again tho

Plenty of seating outside, even when it's a bit wet there is undercover seating. Good selection of beer.

An old haunt of my passed father and grandfather. I dropped in today on a whim for the first time ever. A lovely familial atmosphere, great pub grub and some top drinks. A superb experience and some superb customer service. I recommend!

Lovely owners, make you feel welcome. Spent new years eve here, lovely people great atmosphere. Look forward to my next visit when in the area.

Forget any negative comments on here this was the previous landlord, now under new management and it’s a lovely place to go, great food, great beer and a warm welcome

I think the new landlord and landlady are really trying to make a go of this pub, thank God. It's a lot cleaner and more hospitable. Only gripe I've got ( and please don't shoot me down in flames ) is I wouldn't like to eat whilst dogs are in the same room, as much as I like any animal, I wouldn't go for a meal to be sat next to one. Hope you pair stick at it and who knows one day there may be a restaurant.

Small pub .really dirty.good do with a good clean smells of drugs .ie weed .looks like all can do with a good wash .SERIOUSLY gone down hill .will not be visiting again .!!also landlord openly smokes inside the pub next to the woodburner telling customers how much vodka he as drunk in 1 day .open house help urselfs.

Love this place,! serves great Friday fish and chips! also home made Monday pies all varieties, pulled pork is my favourite! Sunday quiz and meat raffle for £1, it's a great family + friendly atmosphere and welcomes everybody, I do recommend that if ur passing by to pop in for a beer as it's the best around! 😊
