Small pub,friendly people, not tried food as yet

We always look forward to returning back to Little Italy & was pleased we managed to get booked in for Valentine's Night. As always, we were greeted by friendly & warm staff with excellent customer service. I always love that you can tell the staff are genuinely happy to see their customers arrive. We ordered the Cheesy Garlic Bread & Risotto Balls for starters, they were both very nice. We especially enjoyed the sauces served with the Risotto Balls. We ordered a child's Spaghetti Bolognaise & X2 10oz Fillet Steaks for starters. Our daughter loved her lasagne and cleared her plate. Genuinely, the nicest steak I've had it, the veg served on the side was delicious too! For desert we ordered Children's Ice Cream, New York Cheese Cake & Profiteroles. All were very nice! The team had made a fantastic effort for Valentine's the Resturant was decorated beautifully, the atmosphere was perfect! We loved the little lamps on the table they gave a nice cosy feel especially as we were tucked away in a corner booth. Thank you for a lovely evening!

We have been staying locally at the Cherry Tree Holiday Cottage and have stopped in many times for something to eat or drink in between Exploring the Peak District. We have been very happy with the service and the quality of the food. When we come back up this way we will be sure to stop in again! Us as well as our dog have been made to feel more than welcome by the staff!

We had reserved a table, arrived and told where to sit with the drinks we ordered. After ordering the food, we waited and were happy when our food came. At that point we were told were needed to move tables as there was a large table coming and they needed our table. We moved from table 6 to table 4, squashed in the corner on a wobbly table. Moving our belongings, drinks and food. At this point my meal of steak, was cold and I returned this. My partner ate his meal and mine arrived after he had finished his, not quite the meal out together we were hoping for. My partner once I had finished ordered a dessert, Apple crumble and custard. This toom a considerable time to come and was luke warm at best. We went to pay and not asked if our meal was ok or offered any apologies for the experience. For somewhere we normally love, visiting today has marred our thoughts on the place considerably.

Lovely little pub with a great selection of beers and a friendly atmosphere.
