It was early evening, a good meal out !

Made a rare trip out with Shaslic as he was treating Mrs MDL to his Christmas present. Day 7 on the advent calendar was a trip to the Red Fort. A long established and traditional restaurant in need of a little TLC. The food was good and generous. 4 poppadums and chutney. We shared a shaslik main as a starter. Then two of the chefs recommendations. A lamb satkora and a chicken shaorisha. A ginger and onion pilau and a well done naan. Took a lot home. All washed down with 5 pints of Cobra. Just under £70. Enjoyed the early doors visit.

Not sure how they have a 4.6 rating. This was the worst curry we've both ever had in our lives. The tikka masala was bland and tasteless and the naan bread crumbled apart so couldn't even use it to scoop properly. The paneer was cut in tiny parts and also wasn't cooked well (plain) other places tikka it off. The rice was the only dish that was fine and I don't think it's cheap either.

It's a thumbs up from me. Lovely takeaway. Great food. 👌 Looking forward to eating at the restaurant next time.

One of South Manchester's hidden gems. From the outside and the surrounding area you might just pass by and never even notice but this place serves the best Indian in south Manchester and at unbelievably reasonable prices considering today's prices and the cost of living. I've tried Indian food throughout the world and UK and this place is my favourite. The staff are super friendly you can tell it's a family run business. They go the extra mile to ensure you are comfortable and even bring little unplanned extras for you to try out. Definitely worth 5 stars .

This place is a little gem. We had the tandoori chicken biryani and tandoori butter chicken with pilau rice, paratha and aloo gobi and everything was delicious. The food quality is miles better than anything you'd get on the curry mile. The staff are so lovely and have known many of their customers for years. It's my new favourite Indian restaurant and I highly recommend you visit!

Lovely little Indian restaurant. 5 course meal for under £15 midweek. Excellent value and great food in a lovely atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely food both takeaway and eating in.

Even though we’re local, it was our first time tonight. Everything from the service to the food was enjoyable. The lamb achari was amazing, tasty and melt in your mouth. The service was on point and the value was good too. It may have been our first time but it won’t be our last!

Scoured Cheadle Hulme for a decent Indian takeaway as was disappointed with the two we usually use, found Red Fort because of it's excellent rating, placed a few orders in the last few weeks and I have not been disappointed, food is always delicious! It's also a lot cheaper than other nearby Indian takeaways 🤑 You also always get a small taster dish if you collect!

We've been coming here for years. The food is always delicious and the staff are wonderful, nothing is too much they're so caring and kind.

Had chicken Madras(takeaway)really authentic and tasty. Friendly and fast service. Will definitely be back for more !!Also you must try the chicken Achari what a really tasty dish "yummy" !! A good local Indian restaurant !!

We as a family visited Red Fort after viewing a good rating. Once we visited it was the best experience we had in the UK. 1. Homely atmosphere and extremely nice hospitality. 2. Best indian food in UK away from balti and curry options 3. Affordable price. 4. Lots of additional stuffs offered including ice cream for my daughter 5. Nice staff, nice interior , nice ambience Would highly recommend and go again when we go to Cheadle.

Ordered the keema rice, lamb tikka jalfrezi and a chapaati Could tell ingredients were fresh would give it 10/10 definitely be ordering again

Ordered today for the first time, ordered a pasander which was a very bland korma, and a lamb masala which was even worse. Will not be ordering again from here, have never had such a bland meal!! Waste of money!

Small independent restaurant with good choice of food at very reasonable price if you use the 5 course offer Sunday to Thursday Need to support local businesses especially when they have been affected by the virus.

Came here last week for my granddaughters birthday, wasnt disappointed. The food was amazing, all 10 of us thought it was delicious. Been coming here for lots of years and can honestly say all the staff are brilliant and so attentive. Thankyou for making my granddaughters birthday meal memorable.

Since moving away from Cheadle Hulme, the thing I miss most is the Red Fort and the wonderful Mr Dass. Delicious food and a charming host. I hope to pay a visit in 2019.

My husband and I came here tonight for the first time. We were delighted with the first class service, quality fresh food and relaxed ambiance. Highly recommended.

Service was exemplary. Interior is a little dated. A hidden gem in Cheadle, if you're going for a curry. This is the place.

Called in for a meal Good deal at £10.95 But not as good as the last time we were there. Some 30 years ago!!

Excellent food. Friendly family run and love the fact that they have been there for years fantastic value for money and we've never paid so little for outstanding food almost to good to be true but this one is. , we love it here and come back every time. Highly recommended 👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

When it's good it's really good and when it's not it's average. I've been a regular here for over a decade as it's very handy, reasonably priced and on a good day just like having an Indian mum. Mr Das, Mr Roy and Mr Mir are fun and always welcoming. I've had some top notch food and also some average food. One example was a king prawn curry (which carries a supplementary charge) around February which was chock full of 10-12 king prawns as big as your finger. Compared to the same curry in July which has about 5 maybe 6 bits, and I do mean bits (pea-sized). The rest of the curry sauce and other bits of the meal were fine. I was with friends otherwise I would have mentioned it to Mr Das. Worth a few visits if you're in the area as it's never a bad meal.

Old fashioned but tasty food and friendly.

My friend and I went for a meal and had the 5 courses for £9.95 offer. Couldn't fault the starter or main course and they even swapped the tea/coffee for an ice cream! Shame that there was only ourselves and another couple in the restaurant as it did lack some atmosphere. Other than that the food and service were excellent and I would certainly recommend it If you like good quality Indian food at a very reasonable price.
