I visited the ranch at the weekend with my family, for some reason they weren’t doing food, so we thought as we weren’t in a hurry we would stay for one drink and move on somewhere else to eat. We were served by a nice pleasant barman and when we were finished decided to use the toilets before moving on. The pub itself looked fine but I don’t think that I have ever witnessed anything quite as bad as the toilets, I met my wife outside and She looked like she was going to be sick, she couldn’t even start to describe how bad it was. We thought ourselves lucky that we hadn’t eaten there, because if they can neglect the toilets like that I wouldn’t like to chance the food.

Went to weatherspoons, disappointed by overbearing staff who wouldn't serve a shandy to a 27 year old and left crossing the road to find the Ranch. What a difference. Stayed for food and if was exceptional. I recommend great vegan and veggie choices and the chips where so good. Eat there you will not be disappointed.

Came in for lunch. Easily the best food in Bangor. The ‘stable lass’ burger is incredible. Staff are all lovely. Would come back 100%

I brought my partner out for a birthday meal to Y Ranch, we both got the specialty 16 oz steak on a stone for main and asked for a portion of buffalo chicken wings for starters. The steak came first, then the burnt chicken wings came. Steak was already 70% cooked, defeating the purpose of the “cook it yourself part”. The steak arrived with mustard and sweet chilli sauce??? Advertised on the menu as coming with the usual peppercorn sauce and garlic butter. When we asked the waiting staff for peppercorn sauce we were told that they are too busy (there was one other table of people), while all the staff sat at the bar on their phones. When leaving I approached the staff and explained that the cost of the meal did not reflect in the quality of food or service we received. I was told to speak with the manager regarding my complaint, then when I asked for the manager I was told there was no manager or chef in??? I was then told to “F*ck off” and that “I am sh*t” by a young dark haired female member of staff. Will not ever be back to this place, disgusting food, service and behaviour by the staff.

Not been for a long time very disappointed beef only cooled med still pink inside had to choose something else and Yorkshire pudding not nice tables and floor feels very sticky but staff very frendly

There’s a distinctly poor management feeling here. When you get served the staff are pleasant enough but getting served is the problem. When we arrived the bar staff outnumbered the customers 2:1! But there was great hesitation about serving. We looked at the very tempting videos of stone cooked steaks. Ordered on the App No drink. Asked at the bar. Ahh. Did you order on the App? Yes. There’s no customers apart from us so obviously no staff taking notice of App orders. Too many staff seem to assume they hide away in the back on their phone. Poor. Also toilet disgusting. Stinky, no soap, loose taps and no working dryer. Get a grip

Absolutely stunning food. Friendly service and great prices. Got to be the best steak i've had! Fillet steak presented on black rock so able to cook to my liking.

App failed to work so had to have table service, went to bar (with mask on) to get some extra drinks, and was confronted with a pleasant barmaid who was happy to take the order, before the manager, slouched over on his stool across the bar shouted ‘tell him if he wants to order, he needs to sit down now’, instead of directing his comment at me, he just spoke around me, as if I was invisible. Terrible communication skills, thankfully the other staff came over and apologised shortly after, but still awful none the less, desperately in need of new management it seems because he was awful from the moment we walked in, to the point at which we left after his little outburst, was embarrassing for everyone.

Absolutely awesome 👌 10 Lads from Nottingham was given the private party part even thou not booked. All had steaks and just wow. Cooked on rocks so cooked to your own liking. I can’t thank the owner and the staff enough for a fantastic evening. Nothing was to much and every request was catered for. I booked a section for my wife’s birthday and took balloons and a birthday cake down, plus there was certain allergies to cater for and everything was taken care of with great service, tyvm from very happy customers 5*

I was looking forward to a lovely carvery, however, it tasted vile. I believe the roast potatoes were deep fried, veg tasted like it was on the turn the meat was dry and tasteless. The staff were rude and unhelpful. Very disappointed. Won’t be back. No discount offered for our troubles.

Had lunch here around 1pm. The place was quiet in numbers with 1 other table of 4 in for the time we were there. We were able to sit anywhere and opted for upstairs where there was good ventilation to the outside garden. The staff were very friendly and whilst the menu was extensive a couple of items we planned to order weren't available and appeared similar for the other table. Not a problem in itself but would have preferred to know at the point of been handed the menus what wasn't an option rather than once decided and at the point of ordering. Burgers were great and the hot buffalo wings were definitely 🔥. If going again I'd give fries a miss, a bit on the soft side/lukewarm compared to the rest of the order.

A brilliant experience! Everyone was lovely! Food was amazing- definitely coming back - decor was fab!

Booked a table at the Ranch at the last minute. The place has a loose western theme with a pub vibe. The staff were terrific (sort of helped as it was only 6.30pm and there wasn’t many in). I ordered an 8oz Fillet on a stone and my wife had 8 Ninja wings with some Bacon Fries. Both meals arrived at our table in good time and were really good and tasty. Really good value as well, food was just £23.50 and the beet came in at £6.50 for pints of John Smiths and Carlsberg. In summary, good food, good staff, nice place and good value. What’s not to like!

Great carvery great staff value for money plenty on the plate only do 1 size plate and social distance will recommend to go for a carvery but you must book a table staff couldn't do enough for you

After a great review off a friend I thought I would support local new business. Great carvery and it was nice and quiet. Go give it a go
