The Chicken Box in Banbridge

Everything is fine except for the most important part.. THE FOOD. Worst thing I’ve ever tasted, nothing was fresh.

Ordered last night for the first in a long time for a family birthday dinner. What a disappointment. The new thick chips were really undercooked and hard, the chicken was overcooked and hard to chew. The curry sauce my son had was like dry paste which he couldn't eat because it stuck in his mouth and my other son had a mini kebab meal full of bones. Burger bap actually broke into pieces when it was lifted out of the box. Most of the £40 food went into the bin. The girls working did not work well together, actually fighting in front of myself and the kids about what burgers were ready and what was done in our order (the only people in the shop and the only order to prepare so I don't understand why it was so difficult). I was asked to start with if we wanted salt and vinegar on the first item made (almost 10 minutes before anything else was bagged), and then even though we said no to the first one it stopped mattering and they were put on everything else. They needed to read our order an insane amount of times and still couldn't remember what it was to get it right when talking to eachother. The girls were as polite as possible but they just shouldn't be serving food or working together. Used to be 5*, absolutely not any more.

Over 2 hours late , burger and falling apart , curry chip sauce all out the side on the paper hardy in the chip sausages burnt , cold , taste has gone done hill used to be fantastic , not now wouldn’t recommend , extra £5 delivery when your order of Uber eats ! (£10 for just delivery ( not incudkng actual food !

Great service all round, pleasant staff. Food was really nice, had the spicy chicken burger and a curry chip...The curry sauce is really nice and tastes like a Chinese curry. Next time I call in, I'll be trying out their New brown gravy sauce on chips. I've heard their brown gravy is up there too.

Ordered from here many times past 5 order have had something wrong ordered today bogof kebab 8 pound plus delivery both kebabs came with mayo not cheese and coleslaw i asked for also drinks never arrived when i rang up was told we dont have coleslaw right now and drinks would be delivered but driver is very busy then hung up on me on docket its says order price 11.50 delivery price 16.50

Food is great (when you can get it.) But when you arrive at the shop, an hour before it closes, and it’s closed. That’s not good. It would start to give you second thoughts about going back.

Can't complain! Food is tasty and portions large. Price is similar to other places.

Avoid at all costs, scooping chips off the floor to cook and serve to customers, health and safety hazard!!!!

Ordered delivery from here tonight…couldn’t be happier with the service and the food. We got the Chicken Kebab Meal and a Super chip. Both were delicious, will definitely order again

Unfortunately have to give a low review due to their treatment of customers. Ordered on Uber with Uber One at 5:30pm, staff then rang me to inform me that delivery would be an extra £5 (total £10 delivery fee) to my location. I told them that I ordered with Uber One and the standard £5 delivery fee was free and that you don't tend to pay delivery with Uber One. The staff member checked with a supervisor and said that was fine. When we ordered the delivery estimate was 35-50 minutes. It got updated saying that the order wouldn't be delivered until 7:30-8pm. At 6:30pm, the order was cancelled by Chicken Box. Frustrating because I've already waited an hour for an order that was never going to arrive! They could have rang me and explained the situation, or informed us at least that they can't deliver to our location and will have to cancel. If you can't deliver, don't be on Uber One! And a little communication goes a long way. (Also, £2.80 for sauce?? That's crazy).

Just got dinner from The Chicken Box, (which is under new management.) Staff couldn’t have been nicer, they were helpful and polite. Food was lovely, especially the chips! Will definitely be back!!

Got food and it cost £30. The cheesy chip had chicken in it which wasn’t sopost to be in it since the cheesy chip doesn’t have chicken. One of the young BOY workers was vaping infront of us and only put it away since they seen we were looking at them. Tables and chairs were so dirty. Also chicken box has gotten very expensive. Basically the place is bad and they smoke infront of ur food and they put things that aren’t sopost be in ur food into ur food like chicken and it’s dirty and expensive.

Great food but poor resolution to order issues. After missing a large tub of chicken sauce, staff agreed to include it in my next order - tried three seperate times in failure to get chicken box to include the sauce but management now don't believe as I keep bringing up the issue when I order. Unfortunate to give a low rating based on a £3.50 tub of sauce and poor handling, as the food is very good.

Best place in Banbridge.. 👌 Mmm.. Service and staff 100% great.

Got a meal last night and the chicken was pink in fact it was red with blood, taken a picture this morning and it is still bright red, never seen anything like it, not even from KFC will definitely not eat again

Love the place, I'm not a chip person therefor I can't comment on the chips, my twins love the chips tho, chicken burgers are always tasty, best thing tho I highly recommend are the wraps 👌👌👌👌👌

Regarding my last review everything has been dealt with amazingly and the owner has been super empathic at resolving the situation for my friend. Can safely say they have our custom back to get our weekly chicken kebab meals! So I would like to apologise and further thank them for their help

It always surprises me how long you have to wait on food in this place. Considering chicken is already done and in warming oven. So basically always waiting on chips. I've literally ordered here and went to Domino's and had pizza made from scratch and still made it back before my order ready.

Got a chicken burger with salad and sauce. Chicken was cold, undercooked and it looked like someone vomited on top of it. Absolute mess I wish I'd taken photos before I threw it in the bin. Rating 1 star because there's no 0 option. AVOID AT ALL COSTS if you value your life!

Not only decent and delicious portions, but when by accident doubled an order and could not cancel through JustEat , they did this for me. I strongly recommend this place!

Another one of those Hidden Gem of a takeaway located right in the heart of Banbridge, The Chicken Box is a great feel good takeaway for all you chicken lovers out there. Some great meal choices for great prices and with the fast and friendly service it's too good not to try!

If I could give this place a zero I would. Food was in essence a biological weapon. I ordered the chicken burger from "chicken box", you would think this would be their signature dish. Yet I was left with crippling food poisoning which required medication. I Contacted chicken box privately in which they suggested I provide a stool sample. One of my friends who also in the restaurant contracted food poisoning. Out of a party of 4, 2 members contracted this. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy and implore others to spread the word.

All food piping hot. Chicken ok. Chips ok. Had to wait a long time.

Nice people nice food and quick service

If I could give a less star, I would. Chips were absolutely disgusting. Went into the bin. Really bad taste to them, else really cheap dirt chips or oil was in bad need of changing. This has happened a lot of times and each time I leave it for a while before going back, hoping it would have changed. I give up. Will not be back, at least it will save me money.

The small superchips have always stayed the same size. The others the tubs have been getting alot smaller.

It’s a good place for fried chicken but to be honest I have never really enjoyed their chips though I know that a lot of people do.

Chicken can be over cooked and dry. Chips lovely with chicken sauce on it.
