Taken to dinner by friends from Shetland, yeah I was surprised as well some people do like me. Any, no booking but a great welcome with no hesitation from the greeter and we were sat immediately. The food was fantastic, perfectly cooked,well presented and hot. As we hadn't seen one another in a while we just sat and chatted and were put under no pressure to leave. I recommend this place to all lovers of Indian food.

The food is always good quality, full of flavour and a delight to consume. Always plenty on your plate. Order was 45 mins late, unfortunately the food was warm/tepid upon arrival.

The food arrived late then when it arrived items were missing, called the restaurant and they said to come and pick it up and I explained we couldn't as we had been drinking so couldn't drive , he then said we will give you 2 poppadoms if we picked it up , I then said again we can't as we had been drinking to which he said walk but that would take half an hour and the food we had received would be cold. Not there usual customer service very disappointed and to say drink drive is not good. He said they couldn't redeliver as that would be over half an hour later as they were out delivering , surely they have a mobile phone to call them.

Food arrived late, cold, delivered to my neighbor rather than my address and the member of staff on duty wouldn’t let me speak and kept trying to speak over me absolutely appalling customer service and I am extremely dissatisfied with all of this

food was expected at 4.30. phoned up at 5. got told they knocked on door 4 times. no one knocked, to then be told they open at 5 so will be delivered at 5.30. arrived at 6.15. Had the karai which was flavourless and mostly oil. really dissapointment.

I have since spoken to the manager who accused me of lying and just like his employee kept trying to speak over me. This is absolutely disgusting. He also told me that if I wanted a refund I was to return the food to them before they would even consider it.

There actually isn’t a long enough time to say how late my meal was. 2 hours late! The excuse I got was that they were very busy. Yes. I get that but possibly ring me up to tell me a waiting time otherwise I wouldn’t have ordered my meal. I got nothing apart from pathetic apologies. No excuse me plus it arrived cold and I had to heat it up.

Visiting my son. Saturday order - was given between an hour time slot, it went to an hour an half - rang , it seemed the kitchen hadn't done my order yet , only 4 items, so it arrived shortly after. Should have a better system for supply and demand . My onion rice was the blandest rice that was hard to think it had been cooked in an Indian takeaway- wet, boiled bland rice with half cooked onions and bits of coriander for a fiver! Curry very average - £25 and no free condiments , sauces, salad.

Food was OK. Was marked ready as soon as I arrived but wasn't brought out for 20 mins. When I got home. The rice was Incorrect. The chips were missing. Rang the Raj. Was told I could drive back and collect some chips. But the rest of my meal would then have been cold. Told they couldn't offer a refund on the items with issues because the manager wasn't in.

More sauce than meat in ALL the curries we ordered , restaurant also forgot mint rhaita on a last order that was supposed to be included in this one, never received , after ordering was notified instantly saying delayed which it was. Disappointment

Food was alright, got 2 free poppadoms for being over an hour late. Feel sorry for who ever I spoke to on the phone, hungry Scott is not a very nice person

All food was great. We had a small issue with the thickness of a dish but they replaced it quickly and replacement was perfect. Delivery driver was lovely. Would get again.

Was informed almost immediately that the order would be delayed then received an update saying it was on its way. It finally arrived 30 minutes after that message. I called the shop to get an update and the lady told me it was already on its way before she knew what order I was then said it’s really far from the shop then said it’s really busy tonight, excuse after excuse. Food was cold and soggy when it arrived after assurances it wouldn’t be. £37 for two people was not the service or the quality I was expecting.

Curry was prawn it did not taste good at all the whole lot went straight in bin scampi was cold and soggy not happy

Chicken biryani arrived cold so through it away as I will not reheat rice and restaurant only 5 minutes round the corner so can’t understand why it was cold, garlic naan didn’t taste of garlic, Bombay potatoes were very good

It might have been nice but who knows as the driver dropped it outside the front door but im sure it would have been very tasty if it had stayed in the bag

The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, offered drinks and starters once seated, food turned up in good time and was full of flavour. Desert menu had a good selection though the deserts were hard frozen. My only gripe was a large noisy group of guys but it is what it is. Everything is reasonably priced and I'll definitely be coming back soon.

Not even average !!! The 1st time the curry was bland, and the naan bread too. It wasn't a spice curry, but I still would expect flavour at least. The 2nd time I went I chose a spicier curry, but still, apart from the hotness, there was no flavour. The 2nd curry also was quite greasy.

The food here was absolutely lovely, the service was amazing, staff are super friendly, and it is a great enviroment. They offer great value for money especially if your going as a group or it’s just the two of you. I got king a prawn balti curry and prawn bhuna curry, with a fish masala dish with tandoori roti, yoghurt with cucumber raita,vegetable bryani, and another spicy vegetable dish. Thankyou so much for having us and I recommend anyone to visit here and try the food, you will not be disappointed !! 😊😊 so glad I visited, haven’t felt welcomed like this in a long time ❤️

Excellent food and service, delivery is sometimes longer than estimated but it comes with an apology and is always worth the wait. Only ever use The Raj and regularly order from here for the last 12 years. Very fair prices for a good quality food. Also a warm welcoming place for a lovely quiet sit down meal too, even when busy, food quality and service is never compromised.

The mixed grill we ordered stated it would come with a plain Naan however none arrived which was disappointing after spending over £60. The food quality was good however and reliever was spot on!

Absolutely delicious! Food came slightly early, piping hot, and seriously tasty.

We got a takeaway and it was delicious. The staff were very friendly and the restaurant looked cosy. We will be back for a sit down meal.

Ordered our meals from this restaurant and they forgot to deliver a number of items. When we called we were told we hadn't ordered them! Funny that, because we were charged for them!! Be wary.

Absolutely freezing food and the restaurant is a 5 minute walk from my house and it’s the first takeaway I’ve binned and not left anything for breakfast , I couldn’t eat the curry because it was full of chunks of wood that I was scared to eat incase I choked on them , full bay leaves and cinnamon sticks in it so it went in the bin

So, I say late, however it arrived earlier then estimated, however from said time it left the restaurant to arriving my food was barely warm, my portion seemed smaller then usual.

Ordered for collection. Turned up on time but didn’t receive my order for nearly 25 minutes later. No update as to what was going on and the restaurant was in utter chaos. Food was cold and inedible. Chicken pakoras were soggy. Simply don’t take orders if you cannot fulfil them on time or to a standard you’d serve in the restaurant.

Naan was a bit on dry side and mango chutney was watered down, otherwise food was good.

Sorry to say this is one of the worst Indian restaurant I've eaten at . The service was terrible. The food was mediocre. Holes in the table cloth. Would never eat there again.
