The food was swimming in oil. The Bombay potatoes were tasteless and I was sent the wrong naan bread. If I paid full price for this I would have been really disappointed. I understand why you do 40% off over 25 pounds

The food was bland and the sag aloo tasted stale.

Terrible, lied by restaurant ordered at 6:40 arrived at 8:20 food stone cold, won’t use again shame as use every week, but tonight was unacceptable

I have not received my order! Online it says it is delivered and I must enjoy it! Restaurant does not pick up the phone. Do not order from this place. We are left with no money and no food!

I’ve had better tasting plimsolls than the lamb…If you order bear in mind that you will need to book a dentist appointment the following day. The Madras had more oil in it than a shell garage forecourt and the poppadoms arrived in little pieces…One can only imagine that the delivery driver used them as a cushion. Better off getting a microwave Rustler burger.. Enjoy 😉

Best curry we've had in a while! A couple of other restaurants we used the chicken was disappointingly dry. Only small downside, the onion barges were a bit spongy, other than that, very happy

Asked for vindaloo to be more spicer and hotter just bland with hardly any spice to it not an vindaloo very poor. Also asked for the chicken biryani if they could add extra chilli and make it more spicier for my wife again bland. Disappointed

First and last order from here. Butter chicken was horrible. Onion bhaji was dry and rice was cold. Mint sauce was orange. We have to bin the foods . Offering a refund is the right thing

My favourite curry, never disappointed, very tasty and full of flavour.

The food was inedible. It was all hot so that was good but it was either dry or greasy.

Both the vegetables currys had leaked everywhere.

Lamb very overdone, rice very greasy and they forgot one of the dishes from the order!!!

For my experience of Indian takeaways the Bhuna was very dry and didn’t have much flavour

I rarely leave reviews but felt I had to on this occasion. My meal was absolutely delicious. Hot and freshly cooked also the guy that delivered my meal was very friendly which is always great. Would definitely recommend and order again compliments to the chefs and everyone that works there! 👏🏻 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I am so disappointed to write this. we gave been regular customers for years. I love this place. However, tonight was the worst curry we have eaten.It didn't taste the same or look the same. The rogan prawns , didn't look right when I removed the lid.It tasted odd and I couldn't eat it .I couldn't even eat the bombay also.The poppadoms were stale and chewy.So disappointed

Usually love the food here but this time came absolutely drenched in yellow grease, the chicken was also so chewy and had no flavour, the entire bag and all its contents and containers were also soaked in grease, had to throw it all away. Such a shame as I used to love the food here.

The order I always get wasn’t very good this time round. Must be a different chef on a Sunday. Chicken wa tough and the sauce wasn’t very spicy. Potato’s were slightly under down

We have used Raj before and been happy with the food, but on this occasion the food was not edible. The potatoes in sag aloo were old and disgusting and the Bombay potatoes were hard. The only thing we could eat was the korma and rice.

I called up the raj to let them know my order was running late. Their excuse was that they have less drivers at the moment. The delivery guy was on his phone when handing the food over which I found a bit rude. Additionally, part of my order wasn't included in my delivery- I wasn't impressed. The food itself wasn't bad but is nothing to get excited about.

First time trying "The Raj Special Balti" very interesting. Good mixture, tasty sauce and it goes well with the tandoori roti.

A pilau rice which we ordered never came when the food was delivered. Tried to call the restaurant with the number on just eat, numerous times, and each time it rang out , so I paid for a pilau rice and never received it.

Driver very bad, argued and refused to give me my food. tried to blame me for his mistakes. food cold.

the chicken in both meals was dry, tasted like it was cooked yesterday and reheated. Undercooked onion bhajee, mint sauce just didnt taste like mint sauce. Nan was really chewy. Veg curry under cooked. Most disappointing curry we've ever had, definitely wont order again.

Ordered prawn tikka masala - prawns burnt, sauce extremely thick jelly consistency and not edible. Requested refund for this dish but JustEat said no as restaurants have different styles/recipes?? Surely if its BURNT with visable black charcoal peices in the dish the chef would have the decency not to send it out. Pure disappointment, will not order from The Raj again.

The food as always was very good. The onion bhajis are the bomb. I was a bit surprised by the delivery driver however who dropped my order by my door, rang the bell and disappeared before I could answer. I am used to Amazon doing this but not takeaway drivers.

Usually the delivery is fine, but today a half of one curry dish was spilled all over the paper bag. It was very messy because the packages of all other dishes were covered by the spilled curry.

Unfortunately the food was barely warm. We had ordered our favourite prawn puree starters but what came was prawns in a bright red, coconut based sauce. Never had prawn puree like that. I can't eat coconut so I left mine. My partner discovered his main course, king prawn tikka masala, seemed to be the same or very similar red sauce as the starter. So essentially the only real difference between the starter and his main course was the size of prawns. We have had many prawn puree starters, from various restaurants, and have never had anything like these. It was very disappointing especially as we had nice meals previously from Raj, including normal prawn puree. If you can't trust what you order, it makes it difficult to justify future orders.

Unfortunately I asked for the lamb vindaloo to be more spicy and also and lamb naga but unfortunately it wasn’t the rest of the meal what we ordered was ok

Enjoyed ordering from here in the past, but my madras this time wasn’t very good. Flavours were a bit disappointing so will get something else next time!

Delivery was 30 minutes faster than stated which was good, food was hot. However, the chicken tikka masala only had 6 small pieces of chicken and had far too much coconut in it, it had a lot of coconut bits in the sauce and wasn’t very appetising, some may like this but it’s not how I expect a tikka masala to be. The lamb tikka was also very chewy. The rice and saag aloo were adequate. Overall 2/5 for food quality.

Chicken Balti was lush, flavours were amazing as was the chicken tikka masala. Onion Bhajis were fresh and tasty. Best so far over the last 5 times we have ordered. Really impressed. Mothers day treat, very happy mother!
